SHINee - Why So Serious?

Introducing the real Taeman! This was beyond expectations! Because of Jonghyun's injury, SM was kind enough to let Taemin shine a whole lot more than usual and I can tell you right now, he must've made his hyung proud! Taemin stepped his game up and was absolutely amazing~ He hit it spot on! His vocals have definitely improved from back then. Now this music video wasn't the best, and it was what had my mindset in a different direction. I always though of SHINee as the unique group. Their music videos were never flashy and were totally different and original compared to other SM artists, but now I can really feel the SM vibe going on here. It really shows that SM flavor with the flashy sets that they all use.

R A T I N G S :

Choreography: 9/10

It was very unique. I mean, it wasn't... SHINee unique but it was like.. SM unique. This has been ranked most likely the lowest out of all SHINee's choreogrpahy for me. But this deserves a well-rounded 9, because of the creative movement that was in here. The different levels, and the different spacings were all great. I mean, come on, they all looked like zombies at one point! That was definitely a piece of choreography that wasn't able to connect to the song.

Music Video:  5/10

Brings me back to 'RDD' days. Ah, what great times those were. To be honest, the music video is what totally ruined the vibe of this song. It seemed too.. normal and it didn't have a particular theme that they looked upon and it was hard to follow through. 

Song: 10/10

TAEMAAAAN! I will never be able to get over him! End of Story. I'm kidding, I was just bothered by Minho's 'rap' like... was that supposed to be a rap? Or was it singing, because it really bothered me. But otherwise, Taemin showed his strong vocals off and totally took over Jonghyun's position. I'm not even Taemin biased and he's all I'm talking about.

Overall: 8/10

Overall, everything was connected, just not enough for me to feel that it was super exciting. Expectation bars are raised higher each time, and I feel they didn't reach it. Just not this time~
