Suzy was finally awake from her distressful slumber, she stood up and stretched her arms outward and the cracking noise of her spine echoed throughout the attic. “Whoa,” she mused. Suzy rubbed the nape of her neck as she tried to remember what she was supposed to do today. She carefully tiptoed towards the big brass circular, clock-like window ledge while she knew that if she took larger steps it wouldn’t only create noise, but her loud foot steps would cause the floorboards underneath her to tear off one by one. She seemed to be listening with her wide watchful eyes, waiting for something to happen that just did not happen.
