AUTHOR NOTE : L and Krystal's past will be revealed a bit. Will a triangle love ruin everything?

“Come on, you drive this car...” I say while pointing to the outer area of the NICT.

“Huh? You want me to drive on the road?” asks Krystal confused and finally slows down the car towards the front of the gate. I nod, “Wae? You don't dare?”

“I haven't got any license yet... What if there is an inspection?” she asks.

“Just calm down, as long as you drive slowly and obey the road signs, the officer wouldn't suspect you... Well... Let's say this time I'm testing you... Yesterday you tested me by asking me to fight... Now I want you to drive to the road...” I say, actually sounding like a vengeance. His head is covered by blood, “Hey Taec, Taec!!!” says DongHae while pulling Taecyeon's big body. A bullet apparently is lodged in his left shoulder. This is what made him fall.

“Hyung! Help Heechul hyung!” says Taecyeon while holding DongHae's shoulder.

“Hey, bear up...” says DongHae.

Meanwhile L has already pulled out his handgun, he sneaks further inside, he sees the room to play mahjong is already ragged. A few bottles in the bar are already broken, maybe because of the shot by shot earlier.

The room L hasn't checked yet is Heechul's room. Inside that room there is a frightened woman looking forward. Heechul is being mugged with a gun on his forehead. The one threatening Heechul is a blonde guy with his hair tied onto a ponytail, at a glance his face looks like a girl.

“Tell me why did you break into Russian archive? What do you want? Who are you?” says that guy, his eyes look empty but his words are very cold and threatening.

“Just doing some business, dude! Calm down, let me know what you want!” says Heechul, he trembles a bit.

“Tch... How about paying with your life? Expensive enough, isn't it?”

GULP. DongHae swallows, it seems you can't get into a compromise with this person, and he is fooling around with Heechul. This time his life has really become a betting object.

“It's the NICT, isn't it?” says that guy and pulls his gun's trigger.

L breaks in. He immediately sees Heechul mugged by that unknown guy. That guy only looks at L who is now pointing his gun's muzzle at him. That guy changes his threat scheme to Heechul, this time he strangles Heechul's neck. “Let him go...” says L.

“Hmh... So you do come here... Are you from the NICT?” asks that guy.

L falls silent, how did this guy know that he is from the NICT? “Who are you?”

“You shouldn't get involved further than this...” says that guy and pushes and lets off Heechul's body that he strangled.

“This is not a threat, a warning, neither a request... But this is a must, you should just forget the Silver Bullet...” says that guy, he then shoots breaking the window pane in front of him.

“Y... You...? Silver Bullet...?” asks L. That guy only smiles and jumps out through the window.

L doesn't stay still, he follows jumping out and chases that guy. “Kyu... Amber!!! To the southwest!” says L, running through the bushes. Then that guy jumps over the wire fence in front of him. L still keeps following him.

“KYU! Southwest!!!!” says Amber. She looks at the GPS on the car's dashboard.

Kyu then runs the KIA Sportage and immediately goes towards the place where they predictedly would meet that unknown guy along with L. Kyu blocks the road with that car straight away. Amber immediately opens the window pane and points her gun.

The guy is seen followed by L behind him.

“What are you waiting for?” says Kyu who sees Amber doubtful to shoot.

“L is there!!!” says L, she then gets out of the vehicle.

That guy is already trapped, L is behind him, while there are Kyu and Amber in front of him.

“Behind... Behind you! This guy is not likely alone!” yells L, he guesses that the guy would unlikely just perform his action alone this recklessly. At least there are two or three persons.

NGING DSING DSING!!!! A series of bullets is bombarded to the car driven by Kyu. Kyu immediately stoops, “Amber! Stoop!!!!” shouts Kyu, a series of bullets coming from a building, it seems they have a sniper. DSING-DSING bullet by bullet from that weapon is only a warning that breaks the tires of the car driven by Kyu.

That guy passes by Amber who is still stooping because of that attack from behind. That guy passes by Amber by stepping on Amber's body and going up to the top of the SUV car. The attack from the sniper stops. That guy only needed a few seconds to be able to escape from the barricade made by the NICT. An open top sedan car driven by a woman immediately arrives picking up that guy.

L takes out his iPhone and takes a picture of that escaping car. A silver Honda S2000.

“The position?” asks DongHae while calling SeoHyun.

“I'm confirming it... I've already received the picture from L, I'm tracking the car's license plate... According to the satellite's tracking this car is moving to the west...” says SeoHyun.

“I think I can do it... I'll use Heechul's motorcycle...” says DongHae, he immediately hops onto a Honda Valkyrie Rue and turns on its engine straight away.

“You killed someone, Ren?” asks the woman driving that open top car.

“No... But almost...” says the blonde guy while controlling his breath, occasionally he looks to the back, looking whether there is someone following them or not.

“The NICT, they move much faster than we thought... noona...” says Ren while pulling his gun's trigger. “Noona, go into a tunnel... The NICT has surely put its eyes on this car...” says Ren while asking that wavy-haired sharp-nosed woman to go into a tunnel road.

“Even if you didn't tell me I'd understand... You should worry about Joon instead, we left him at the scene... Among those NICT people there is surely a sniper as well... The place where he stood to help you must have already been tracked by now...” says that woman with a smile and looks at the center rear-view mirror, the motorcycle driven by DongHae starts getting closer to them.

“That car entered a tunnen, Sir, our satellite signal will be broken within two seconds...” says SeoHyun.

“Let's just hand this to DongHae and L... How's your situation, Kyu? Amber?”

Kyu and Amber take a big leather bag out of the car's trunk. Kyu immediately kicks that suitcase thus it gets opened. There are a few firearms in it. Kyu takes a rifle straight away, while Amber takes a semi machine gun.

“Here's Kyu, I've already confirmed that sniper... We'll chase him before we lose his trace...” says Kyu a moment after turning on the communication device worn in his ear. It is as if his eyes wouldn't let off the high building in front of him, an office building.

Soon Kyu and Amber run approaching that building. The two then attack through the emergency stairs. “This building has seven levels!” says Kyu, his weapon that is quite heavy requires him to run extra hard.

DRAP. DRAP. When the two are in the third floor, there's a sound of quite quick steps heard coming from the building's top, making Kyu and Amber stop for a moment. Then that step sound coming from the top stops. It seems both sides have realized the position of each other. Kyu immediately changes his weapon with Amber's gun. “You wait here...” says Kyu to Amber, Amber nods.

Kyu dares himself to go up higher. However, his steps stop as soon as a few bullets are being thrown to his direction. Bang-Bang-Bang!

“WHO are you?!!!!” shouts Kyu loudly.

He can't move any further. However, Kyu's intimidation is ignored. Kyu looks at the wall with the holes because of the three bullets from before. Quite a big bullet caliber, you can be sure that person has shot with a rifle within such a short distance.

Kyu is dead-set, because his corner is dead right now, he can't reach his target, he then tries to move even higher. CLICK!!!! Kyu points his gun as soon as he arrives at the next level. There is a woman standing on the edge of the stairs. Her eyes are blue because of the lenses she's wearing.

“Silver Bullet?” asks Kyu, his breath is a bit irregular and his sweat is flowing.

“Silver bullet? What about it?” asks that woman who is dressing all-black and has left her wavy brown hair open.

Kyu gets even closer to that woman, he points his gun even more at the woman's head. “It's useless for you to pretend... If you were a normal person you would be scared seeing this gun...” says Kyu. That woman keeps looking at Kyu who is coming even closer to her.

“Who are you... I mean... You all?” asks Kyu while swallowing.

“Ho... Oh... You're very brave for pointing a gun to an empty-handed woman without a gun... If you're really a gentleman... You would likely not face a woman with a gun like that...” says that woman, she is negotiating with Kyu, but Kyu refuses to put down his gun, not even one degree. Maybe this is all a trap.

CRACK! A pulled trigger sound of a gun, but it comes from above, out of reflex Kyu immediately points his gun to the top.

BUMP!!! THUD!!!! With very quick movements, the woman in front of Kyu immediately hits Kyu's hand until the gun is let off. Then that woman kicks Kyu's chin with her left foot. Kyu falls down straight away.

“Kyu!!!!!!” shouts Amber who has seen that incident, Amber is a few steps behind Kyu. Amber then points her rifle at that woman.

“ERGHHHH!!!!” Amber screams from pain. A bullet was released to her and hit her right shoulder, her rifle falls down. Amber makes a painful face. A guy with a cold face appears from above, a guy carrying a rifle. Most probably, this guy was the one who has been shooting Kyu since earlier.

“Hyuna, let's go...” says that guy while holding that woman's left hand passing by Amber and Kyu. The two don't move after that attack.

“S... Seo... W.. We failed...” says Kyu into the communication device.

“Quick!!!” says L, he is sitting in the passenger seat of the motorcycle DongHae is driving. The car they are targetting now goes into a tunnel. “This is already a full speed L!!!” yells DongHae scolding L.

Their distance is still far to each other, it hasn't reached the shooting distance of L's gun, a revolver.

“Argh... Ah Ahhh!!!” screams DongHae when L squeezes DongHae's shoulder even more to hold on.

“Hey! Can't you not hold my shoulder that tightly?” says DongHae annoyed beause of the pain.

“So? I have to hug your waist or what?” says L no less fiercely.

“Gyuri noona... It seems this party is addressed to you...” says Ren while looking at their back. Ren clearly sees L pointing his gun to both of them.

“Huh... Well, just wear your safety belt, boy...” says that woman called Gyuri.

BANG!!!! L opens fire from his revolver to that car, a shot directed to the back tire but didn't hit it, only leaving a hole on the road.

SCREECH!!!! That car suddenly makes an abrupt maneuver, braking by pulling the handbrake, putting the car into a diagonal position.

“!” yells DongHae when he sees that car stopping in a diagonal position, if this motorcycle doesn't reduce its speed, there possibly would be a collision in a very high speed.

“Don't reduce the speed! Just hit it!!!!” says L who seems ready to jump from his seat.

“L, are you crazy?!!”

“DO IT!!!!” shouts L.

Gyuri now points her handgun at DongHae and L who are moving even closer to her.

“Noona!!!” yells Ren who has read the situation, that L is planning to hit that motorcycle onto the car driven by Gyuri. Gyuri puts the car into a gear and gets ready to move the car again. At the same moment L pushes DongHae's body until he falls rolling to the left, dragged on the road's asphalt. Meanwhile L himself jumps from the motorcycle.

BUMP!!! The motorcycle hits the right back bumper of the car that starts moving, changing its direction.

BANG!!!!! L opens fire at the moment he does a salto jump. Consequently that bullet hits Ren's shoulder.

BANG!!! Gyuri also opens fire when she is driving.

“ARGH!!!!!!” Ren screams, that bullet also goes through to the seat Ren is sitting on.

That car now moves fast and leaves DongHae as well as L.

Because DongHae didn't bring a communication device, he tries to make a call to SeoHyun, but it's useless, because there is no cellphone signal inside the tunnel.

“ARGH!!!!” DongHae only can shout, getting upset while throwing down his cellphone.

“It's disconnected... DongHae and L apparently failed at chasing them...” says SeoHyun, sighing, and there is no more movement from her computer monitor.

“Quickly go back to the headquarter...” I say with a whispering voice.

“Huh? You said you wanted to spy that Kim Kook Jong? Why do we go to the headquarter instead, now?” asks Krystal confused.

“The situation changed... L, Amber, Kyu and Hae just had a confrontation with them...” I say, my hand pulls her hand again. Pulling her so we would move quickly as the situation has already become crucial, Leeteuk called me so we two go back to the headquarter and the other agents look through the whole Seoul city.

I quickly drive my car back to the NICT.

“Amber has got a gunshot wound on her shoulder... While L is still in the ICU... He was thrown during that chasing action before... He was shot and his body was thrown until he hit the road barrier...”

SeoHyun's explanation to Krystal makes her eyes become empty. Her breathing becomes irregular.

“Please drive faster...” she says a moment after hanging up the phone call, her tears flow slowly, and her right hand trembles. “L...” she mumbles calling out L a few times during our whole trip to the headquarter, like a broken robot calls L again and again.

HUARGH!!!! HUARGH!!!! L woke up from his sleep, his body was full of sweat and his eyes were immediately wide open. His breath sounded quite heavy. He touched his forehead and wiped his face with his left palm right away.

“Myung... What happened to you?” asked someone who stood up beside him.

L immediately looked at the source of the voice that called him “Myung.”

“Soojung?” said L as soon as he saw that the voice owner was Krystal.

“W.. What happened to you? You're even sweating like that? You're sick, right? Did you catch a cold?” asked Krystal who immediately wiped L's face with the long sleeve of the pajamas she was wearing.

L only fell silent getting Krystal's treatment to him. “Will you go to the office today? If you're sick don't force yourself...” sid Krystal while looking at L.

“Am I dreaming? Am I dreaming?” asked L with a worried tone.

“Of course, Myungsoo-yah... You dreamed earlier? Why? Did your dream feel real?” asked Krystal while holding both of L's hands.

GRAB...

L who had been called as Myungsoo by Krystal immediately hugged Krystal's body.

“Yes... Yes... I dreamed... And that dream felt very real...” said L trembling.

“Pssh... Don't mind about it, it was only a dream anyway...” said Krystal while L's shoulder.

“In that dream... That dream... I had to leave you... Yes, I had to leave you...” said L while sighing.

“Hmph... Don't mind about it, it was only a dream... Right now you won't possibly leave me, right...? There's no reason for you to leave me, right?” said Krystal with a smile and kissed L's right cheek.

L only looked at Krystal who was full of smile when she was in front of him, unlike the Krystal he saw before, full of anger and impatient.

“That's it... You're already neat...” said Krystal with a smile.

“Krystal? That's my western name... Soojung... It means crystal... Wae? You're so weird since you woke up earlier... You're still haunted by that dream, aren't you?” sid Krystal and still kept looking at L.

Nine o'clock, the vehicle driven by L arrived in an elementary school.

“Today Jinri will come to the school, she'll give a counseling and free immunization...” said Krystal a moment before she went off the vehicle. L saw there was a pharmacy car in front of him. It was white with a light blue name sticker.

“Is it her car? So early...” asked L while pointing at the big MPV car in front of them both.

“Jinri-ah!!!” said Krystal as soon as she saw the woman going off that MPV, that woman was no other than Sulli. L also didn't stay quiet, he wanted to greet Sulli. He went off his vehicle.

Krystal looked so close with Sulli, the two hugged each other.

When she saw L, Sulli's eyes changed. She seemed to hate L and she only looked at L for three seconds.

“Jinri-sshi...” said L when Sulli walked alone in the school corridor carrying a few boxes of medicament.

Sulli immediately stopped her steps when L called her. “Yes...? What's up? Detective Myungsoo?” said Sulli without turning around not even a bit. L approached Sulli, “Hufh... It turns out we indeed know each other...” said L. “Sorry if there is nothing important I should go, because I still have lots of work...” said Sulli cold to L.

“Wae? Why are you so cold to me?” asked L, once again Sulli's steps stopped when L asked her.

L slowly opens his eyes, he immediately looks at the treatment room's white and bright ceiling. PEEP.. Peep... The typical sound of a cardiogram. Sterile smell. As well as an IV tube hanging at his left.

I'm still alive, apparently. L thinks, he then tries to move his hands and feet. Still complete, he tinks, thank God there's nothing in pain or at most severe, being amputated.

L looks at the source of the sound, a woman is peeling an apple with a fruit knife.

“How's the case going? The Silver Bullet?” asks L while chewing the apple.

The two of us run quickly. Krystal runs three steps ahead of me. Both of our minds apparently can't focus anymore. They go around the case that involves the other agents, that brought L into a critical condition and Amber was shot on her shoulder.

“Krys!!!!” I yell when she tries to break through to the ICU room which still shows its red light.

“Yah! I know you're worrying about him! But what do you think, what can you do in there? Calm your mind down!! L will surely survive!” I try saying it in her ear so she would listen to my words.

Finally she has calmed down, she sits down slowly on the floor. I can feel her body trembling a bit, she starts to control herself. I slowly let her body off my hold.

A few moments later SeoHyun approaches me, letting me know what actually happened.

L, DongHae, Kyu and Amber were involved in the chase of someone who threatened DongHae's informant, Heechul. However, that person managed to escape and he wasn't alone, L and DongHae chased the escaping person by a vehicle. While Kyu investigated the sniper who targeted them. They are four persons in total, two men and two women.

Right now the victim, Taecyeon, is in the hospital, we can't get any information from him yet. While Heechul is under NICT's protection, he is in the interrogation room, calming himself down. DongHae, Leeteuk, Kyu and the other agents are neutralizing the zone around Chul-Mart.

“Can I visit Kim Heechul?” I ask SeoHyun.

“Of course... However, you shouldn't press him too much...” says SeoHyun.

I nod and understand. I give Krystal over to SeoHyun and move to the interrogation room, meeting Heechul.

NICT Interrogation Room

CRACK, I open the door to the interrogation room. I immediately smell a strong smell of ddeokbokki sauce in the whole room. The long-haired guy that is wearing a Hawaii shirt falls sleng as soon as I come without knocking the door first, his movements stop when he was chewing the ddeokbokki.

“Annyeong...” I say, immediately approaching him.

“Ah.. Emh.. Emg... Come on, do you want to eat? Do you want to eat?” he says while pushing the plate of the still hot ddeokbokki and also giving me some bamboo chopsticks.
