“God of the four-leaf clover, please let me experience true love! Please give me the perfect woman!” I said eagerly as I bowed down to the wish-clover. I pleaded over and over again. “Please... Please.”

Then the leaves of the tree near me started ruffling; the branches started shaking. I was surprised! So the clover god is real? Is this it?

“Please! God of the four-leaf clover!” I pleaded once again, bowing down with firmly shut eyes until I felt the ground shake, as if something fell from up above. I swear my heart is going to pop out! I clasped my shaking fingers, chanting one last prayer to the clover god. The agony of anticipation is killing me! Slowly, I lifted my head up, straightened my back, but eyes still closed. Three… Two… One…

“God of the four-leaf clover? Now, that’s hilarious, man!” a voice started laughing his heart out which made me open my eyes abruptly in shock. I stumbled down on my back, seeing the stranger before me – crazily rolling on the clover field.

“W-who are you and what are you doing here?” I stuttered as I ask him.

“This will be the talk of the town.” He smirked evilly as he flashed his phone on my face, a video clip playing – a video clip of me, on the ground, pleading, chanting a wish to a damn plant.

I covered my face in embarrassment and shame. From this day on, I can feel my world turning upside down, my identity falling into ruins.
