“Eunjung-ah, wake up.” Your mom called knocking on your door. “Mm.” You mumbled covering your head with your blanket. “Come one, Eunjung. It’s almost seven a.m.” Your mom said before heading downstairs. “What?!” Youquickly sat up in bed. “Aigoo.” You got out of bed and ran to the bathroom.

You quickly did your daily routine, changed into your uniform, grabbed your grab and rushed downstairs. Your mom was in the kitchen eating breakfast. You went in and grabbed yourself a bagel. “Bye umma, I’m late.” You kissed your mom's cheek and left the house.

Your mom chuckled shaking her head. “Aigoo, Eunjung-ah, it’s only been the second week of school and you’re already running late.” Your mom chuckled, continuing to eat her eggs.

You ran to the bus stop. You glanced at your watch: 7:01 and school started at 7:45. It took you usually about twenty minutes to get to school but when traffic hits; it comes down to thrity minutes.

“I hope there’s no traffic.” You mumbled as you arrived at the bus stop. The bus was about to pull out so you had to chase it. You smacked the side of the bus a couple of times before the bus stopped. You thanked the bus driver and got in.

Since there were so many people on the bus, you stood up. You sighed in relief and you didn’t miss the bus. You looked at your watch again. It was now 7:09. You smiled that you weren’t running so behind on schedule.

Lucky, there wasn’t any traffic so you arrived at school just in time. You got off the bus and headed towards school.

There at school, you were an outcast. You only had one true friend. He has been your best friend ever since junior high.

When you reached the gate, someone called your name. “Eunjung!” you looked at who called your name. You smiled and waved. He came running up to you.

“You’re late.” He scolds. “Sorry, I overslept.” You apologized. “Aigoo, you sleepily head. You’re always oversleeping.” “Ilhoon oppa.” you pouted. Ilhoon chuckled. “Okay, let's go. Class starts in ten.” Ilhoon said walking in the gates. You smiled and followed Ilhoon.

You were glad that Ilhoon was your best friend. Every girl is jealous of you because of it. They would always send you death glares. Ilhoon has always been popular with everyone. Sometimes you don’t understand why he would even want to be friends with you. He was perfect in everyone’s eyes. He’s smart, athletic, handsome, and rich. Who could ask for more, right?

“Ilhoon oppa.” you called. Ilhoon looked back at you. “What now?” he asked smiling. “Why are you friends with me?”
