Description
Lee Jinki spends most of his time sleeping. In his dreams he's known as Onew or Ondubu, courtesy to his best friend Donald Duck, also in his dreams.
Jinki believes that he's free in his dreams.
There's no more yelling, no more hitting. There's no more throwing things, no more screams.
There's no more sirens.
But then someone comes along with a smile that Jinki can't take his eyes off of. A smile that makes him want to smile too. And a laugh, a laugh that makes him want to laugh along with. And eyes that melted him with just one look. Gentle, honest eyes that make him believe that maybe there is hope in the world. And soft hands, firm as they held his, full of promises and a lifetime of protection.
Of no more fear.
But of course this is a dream, right? Jinki was only happy in his dreams. Jinki only felt this way in his dreams, where he could actually drift on clouds and hug the moon. This person couldn't possibly be right in front of him, couldn't possibly be real in such an ugly world. He was too perfect.
Jinki must be dreaming. Because he's only free in his dreams, right?
It's the only way he could be free from this.
Foreword
Entry for eexiee's Only Onew contest!
The song I'm choosing is : Sailboats by Sky Sailing
It was so difficult for me to choose which song, because all were beautiful and I kept thinking of plots for each one. x: But I really liked this song and I felt it was perfect for Onew. Sweet, soothing, almost like a lullaby. Has an Owl City-ish feel, which I'm in love with!
I'm not sure when I'll be writing this (can it be multi-chaptered? o: or does it have to be a one shot?) but probably soon, since I lose inspiration if I push it aside for too long. It might be really long... And it follows the song sort of, at times.
I'm actually not sure what the prompt is, either. I guess I'll just make one right now.
"Take my hand and we'll sail away from our miseries."
