Suzy’s POV

It was already end of class and I was waiting for Byunghun at the classroom.

I was cleaning the room when somebody knocks; I looked at him and saw Myungsoo.

“ oh, Myungsoo.” I said and continued cleaning the window

“ tell me the truth Suzy, why did you hook up with L.Joe.” he said and sat at the chair behind me.

“ w-what? I told you I-I like him right? “ I stuttered

“ I know you Suzy, tell me the truth. You’re hiding something. “ he said and held my waist, I blush

He pinches it lightly and turns me around to face him,

“ now tell me. “ he said, looking me in the eye.

“ I-I’m telling you t-the truth. “ I said and push him lightly away from me

“ Suzy-ah! Let’s go! “ Byunghun called, he was waiting at the door.

“ I’ll text you later Myungsoo “ I said and walk away.

“ what’s that about? Are you hooking up with him? Huh? “ he ask

“ he’s my best friend “ I explained and sighed

“ I’m jealous.” He said and pouted

“ well, no need to be. “ I said and looked at him

“ you’re only mine, ok? “ he said and held my hand.

“ aish! Let go! “ I whined

“ come on, let’s walk like this. “ he said and pulled me, I have nothing to do, so I just let him.

We we’re walking side by side and were not talking, awkward. We reach our house and I let him inside

“ oh, dear. You’re here. Wait for dinner ok? Honey! Suzy and Byunghun are here! “ mom called, we sat on the couch.

Dad came and sat with us.

“ so, you’re the boyfriend of my Daughter huh? “ he said and stared at him

“ yes, sir. My name is Lee Byunghun but my friends call me L.Joe. “ he said and bowed down

“ Suzy, what do you see in him? “ dad ask

“ DAD! “ I whined and stared at him

“ just joking, “ he said and smirk

We smiled wearily

“ so Byunghun-ah, how do you find my daughter? “ he ask

“ well, she’s really pretty, not like other girls she’s really fierce and has that girl power. And that’s what I like about her. She also has that sweet side, even though she doesn’t show it much. “ he explained and smiled

“ wow, I didn’t know that. “ dad said and smiled then wink at me, signaling me to go to the kitchen to have a private conversation.

I stood up and left Byunghun.

“ excuse us for a moment. “ dad said and followed me.

“ what now? “ I ask him

“ 50% “ he rate

“ Honey! “ mom said

“ what? I don’t like him the way I like Taecyeon for our daughter. “ dad said

“ dad! Taecyeon is just my friend. “ I explained

“ well, if you really like him baby, I’ll try to like him too. “ Dad said and we both smiled

I hugged him and we both seat at the dining room.

“ yah Byunghun, come here and eat. “ I shouted, he complied and seat beside me.

We we’re eating peacefully, dad is still staring at him. Awkward.

“ so, Byunghun-ah! How much do you love my daughter? “ he asks

“ I would die for her. “ he said and smiled, I was shock by his answer

“ hmm.. Interesting. “ dad said and smiled

I just sighed and continued eating.

After a few minutes, we finished eating and I decided to walk Byunghun home, I insisted it even though I know he wouldn’t like it.

“ take the taxi later ok? “ he said while we’re walking.

“ I’m fine just by walking thank you. “ I said

“ you shouldn’t have insisted this. “ he said and face me when we reach his room

“ I’m fine,” I said and waved at him.

“ good night. “ he said and kissed my forehead, I sighed and just smiled

“ thanks for everything, “ I said and walk away, I heard his door slam so I know that his already inside.

I sighed and touch my forehead.

I went to the playground and rest for a while.

“ Byunghun-ah, stop playing with my feelings. “ I whispered and sighed

I decided to call Myungsoo, I should really tell him the truth, and he is my best friend.

But he’s not answering. Is he that mad? I sighed and decided to go to his house.

I was walking peacefully when I saw 2 ahjusshis

I was frightened for a moment so I decided to hide behind this oak tree.

I sat and tried to text Myungsoo.

“ Myungsoo-ah! Fetch me here please, I’m scared. There are 2 men here who are drunk. Jebal, “

I texted and wait for him. I sighed, I look if they are gone, but they are still there. Drinking and talking.

“ eodiya? I’m already here. “Myungsoo replied

I sighed and called him.

“ I’m here. “ I called and walk to him

“ Let’s go. “ he said, we walk passed the 2 men, I can feel that they are staring at us.

“ YAH! “ someone shouted, we looked back and saw the 2 men staring at us.

“ your girlfriend looks stunning huh? Mind if we borrow her for a few hours. “ the other man said and smirk.

“ mind your own business. “ Myungsoo said and walk off

“ you’re talking back huh? “ the man said and punch him, I was shock and move aback

“ Suzy-ah! Just go home. “ he said and cough

I was dumbfounded for a moment because they are beating him up and still he’s not fighting back.

I remembered the promise he made

“ YAH Kim Myungsoo! Fight back! Beat them up! Babo! “ I shouted, I’m very worried now, I saw him smirk and stood up.

“ I don’t want to do this because your old now, and my mother said not to fight older people. “ he said, he has a scar on his lower lip.

“ what the hell! You little bastard! “ the man shouted and was about to punch him but he dodge it and punch his face hard. I was shock because this is the first time I’ll see an actual fight

Myungsoo was beating them up one by one.

When he finish, he sat on the man’s back and get his hair to face me.

“ what will you say to her ahjusshi? “ he ask

“ I-I’m sorry we did that. “ he said, he has many scars in his face

“ let’s just go home. “ I said

Myungsoo stood up and held my wrist.

“ I’m sorry you have to fight. Are you hurt? “ I ask

“ I’m ok. “ he said

“ let’s rest first. “ I stopped

“ I’m tired, let’s go home. “ he said and pulled me

“ but I have something to say. “ I said and stop again

“ what? “ he ask

“ about me and Byunghun. “ I said

He face me and I saw his cold eyes again, I sighed and started to explain every detail

It only took me 20 minutes to explain.

After I explain, he flick my forehead

“ ow. What’s that for? “ I ask furiously

“ for not telling me the truth, and for not asking help from me. “ he said and sighed

“ sorry. “ I said and bowed my head

“ then why not break up with him? “ he ask

“ because I can’t, he wants me to date him and that’s the payment for the debt I made. “ I explain

“ molla. Don’t worry, I won’t fall for him. “ I said and smiled

“ whatever you say. Let’s go home. It’s getting late. “ he said and held my wrist and pulled me again

I just smiled, I have no secrets now.

“ don’t tell anyone about this ok? “ I ask

We went home; I lay on my bed and texted Myungsoo and Byunghun.

“ Good night. “

I didn’t expect them to reply.

“ Good Night. J“  Byunghun replied

“ sweet dreams princess. “Myungsoo replied. I just smiled and take my sleep.

The next day, I woke up early and prepare breakfast for my family, and then I left a note. I left early so I could take an early morning walk.

I was listening to music when I saw Myungsoo, sitting on the stairs of the house playing the guitar.

I went to him and sat beside him,

“ what you playing loner? “ I ask him

“ well, look who’s up so early. “ he said and continued to play

“ what song is that? “ I ask

“ I’ll sing it for you. “ he said and played

I stared at his guitar and his hands, and then he started singing

“ I shouldn’t love you but I want to, I just can’t turn away, I shouldn’t see you but I can’t move, I can’t look away. And I don’t know how to be fine when I’m not, ‘cause I don’t know how to make a feeling a stop! “

I was amazed by his talent; I keep on staring at him while singing.

He finishes his song with that. I smiled and clapped at him.

“ wow, you’re really good. “ I said and smiled at him

“ no, this song is sung originally by Jesse Mcartney, this is one of my favorite songs, this song is the one who can describe my feelings the most. “ He said and stared at the clouds.

I was dumbfounded, so he’s heartbroken?

I stood up and carried my bag also, and we talk a short walk before we go to school.

We we’re awkward for a moment.

“ is Byunghun a good boyfriend to you? “ he ask

I puffed my cheeks and sighed

We we’re walking to school when we saw Taecyeon talking to some girl, is she from our class?

We walk closer to him and we saw Taecyeon and Eunjung, and she’s crying? Did he just made her cry

“ Taecyeon-ah! “ I called, they looked at me, and we walk towards him.

“ I b-better go. “ Eunjung said and ran away

“ wait! “ I tried to call her but she just stubbornly walk away from us

“ YAH! “ I pinch his arm,

“ ouch! What’s that for? “ he said and caressed his arm

“ why did you made her cry? “ I said and slap his arm

“ ouch! I did not just do that! “ he explain

“ I’ll tell you at school, let’s just follow her. “ he said and walk rapidly

I shrugged and followed them, Myungsoo was behind me.

At school, we saw Eunjung and Krystal arguing inside the room, we didn’t go inside because we don’t want to disturb them, but we heard their conversation.

“ why would I help you? “ Krystal said

“ you’re my friend. “ Eunjung said, still crying

“ as far as I know, a friend shouldn’t pay the debt of her other friend. “ she said

“ can you at least help me find a home? “ she ask

“ no. you poor little thing, I don’t care if you don’t have a house or a place to sleep. I’m not your friend, Eunjung, can’t you see that I’m just using you? Don’t expect any help from me. “ she said and walk off, she saw us but didn’t say a word, we stared at each other,

She became a monster. I walk inside the classroom and saw Eunjung sitting on the floor crying her heart out.

“ what happen to your house? “ I ask her

She didn’t talk but continued to cry.

“ Eunjung-ah, talk to me. “ I tried but she just cried.

I sighed and hugged her, she needs a friend who can help her, I patted her back as she continued to sob on my shoulder

Eunjung-ah, what’s happening to you?
