You were in a defensive stance; one hand in your purse and the other over your chest. It's almost like I can hear your heart beating rapidly. It's sensational to hear how alive you are. I didn't want to see you again like this. The things I've done in the past were haunting me. All I wanted was warmth. And here I am with begging eyes, I plead to you that I'm not here to hurt you. I would never do such a thing. As long as I could remember, you saved me from my dark abysmal. With all my heart, I just wanted to protect you. 

My head begins to spin, my body begins to feel weary. In the pit of my stomach, I could feel the monster in me growl with hunger. The eyes that you see now have changed, but look past that, please. I'm still the same deep down inside. All I want is your love. I begin to wheeze for air, I was suffocating. I caught a glimpse of concern in your eyes. Through all the pain I'm going through, I smiled at you.

Surprised, you let your guard down as you watched me suffer.

"You should go." I strained, it was getting harder to breathe.

With tears b in your eyes, you took a brave, few steps towards me. My body gave in as I kneeled before you like you were my queen and I was your sinned knight. I was too afraid to look into your eyes now at this point. If I let myself go, I would never be able to forgive myself. I could sense your gentle hands reaching out for me, the warmth radiating from the palms of your hands begin to burn my skin, but it was pure bliss. Your cheeks were rosy and your lips were to die for as you leaned in to kiss me. I wasn't sure what was going on in your head, but the pain began to subdue. Everything was at ease again.

When you pulled away, you sniffled and laughed a little. You rubbed your thumbs against my cheeks. My skin was ice cold against the heat that I yearned for. Hesitatingly, I reached for your hair, pushing it back to see your beautiful face.

"I'm sorry." I apologize for all the pain I've caused you. You shouldn't have witnessed anything. But in some sense, I don't regret hurting anyone that's made you cry. It's a sick thought, I know.

You ran your fingers softly down my jawline, "Why did this have to happen?"

"Who knows." I cracked a painful smile.
