Chapter 4

Drop It On Me

“Ugh, shut up..” Jiyong buried his head into his pillow, reaching blindly for his alarm clock. He finally managed to turn it off and sighed in relief, pulling his blanket up further to shield the sun shining annoyingly on his face.

Sun..? Jiyong groggily opened his eyes and looked up at the window. He scrambled up and rubbed his eyes, smiling to himself. It seemed like a perfectly nice day for the water park. He stretched and yawned largely before getting out of bed to get ready for the day.

Rather than styling his hair upwards like he usually did, he patted his hair down and was pleased that it gave him a playful boy look. He threw on a bright colored T-shirt and a pair of shorts, then stuffed his swimming trunks and other necessities into a bag. There were still a couple of hours left until they were scheduled to leave, so Jiyong went to eat breakfast and wait for Youngbae and Seungri to arrive at his place.

Youngbae arrived first, wearing a pair of sunglasses framed with bright green. “Liking the look.” Jiyong grinned and let the boy in, briefly giving him a tour of his house while they waited for Seungri. Youngbae had gotten along well with his family, but he couldn’t seem to look Jiyong’s sister straight in the eye, which amused Jiyong greatly.

Half an hour later, Seungri arrived loudly. He had headphones on and was singing obnoxiously- though nothing was bad with his voice really- and let himself into the house freely. “Jiyong hyung, where are you~?” Seungri half-yelled half-sang.

“In here!” Jiyong called from the kitchen, already used to Seungri entering his house in this fashion. He and Youngbae were packing snacks into their bags.

“Ooh, when we leave the park can we get spicy barbeque chicken?” Seungri immediately asked, rubbing his stomach.

Jiyong nodded slowly. “Maybe. We'll have to see what the others want too.”

“Who are the other two again? One has the same name as me, right?”

“Yeah, Daesung and Seunghyun. At least we call you Seungri or it would be a bit confusing.”

“Well, good thing they're both guys.” Seungri crossed his arms and furrowed his eyebrows.

Jiyong laughed. “I swear this is the first time you seem glad that there won't be girls around us.” Seungri was about to make a remark when Jiyong's phone rang, and Jiyong picked it up to see Seunghyun's caller ID.

“Hey Jiyong, um..” Seunghyun started when Jiyong answered, “I'm going to Daesung's house, but I realized that I'm about to pass by your address. Do you think you're ready, or shall I pick you up later since it's a bit early..?”

“Don't worry about it! We're all ready actually,” Jiyong quickly answered.

“Okay, I'll be there in a bit.”

Jiyong told the others that they were ready to leave, and soon they were waiting outside for Seunghyun's car. It only took a couple of minutes before a sleek, black minivan pulled up in front of the three. A window rolled down and Seunghyun poked his head out, smiling at them.

“Hey Jiyong, Youngbae.. And I assume you're the other Seunghyun?” He nodded at Seungri.

“Yup, that's me! Just call me Seungri.” The youngest of them grinned cheekily. “I didn't know you knew Youngbae hyung too?”

“I went to meet them with Jiyong before,” Youngbae explained while he and Seungri got into the car. Jiyong was about to climb in after them, but Seunghyun stopped him.

“Do you want to sit up here?” Seunghyun asked, patting the seat next to him. “Having Daesung as company can be a bit distracting sometimes...”

Jiyong accepted the offer happily. He closed the door behind Seungri and Youngbae, and went to the other side to sit next to the man. He felt glad Seunghyun wanted him instead of Daesung, but he suddenly felt at a loss of how to act. He glanced sideways to Seunghyun, eyes focused on the road ahead of them. He could hear Youngbae and Seungri chatting about what kind of rides were at the water park, but he didn't have the will to join them. Seunghyun was tapping his finger on the steering wheel slightly to the beat of the rap music playing softly in the car. He didn't appear to have any interest in saying something, so Jiyong ended up looking out the window, lost in his own thoughts.

After a couple of minutes, Seunghyun began softly rapping along to the song. Jiyong watched him with amazement, listening intently on the man's voice. “Damn, you're good,” Jiyong said when the song ended. Seunghyun smiled, almost looking embarrassed.

“Thanks,” he simply replied.

“I like rapping too, but my voice isn't even deep or anything,” Jiyong said grumpily.

“Hyung's really really really good though!” Seungri piped up from the back.

“Really? I want to hear.” Seunghyun sounded interested, so Jiyong agreed to rap to the next song that came on, which he was familiar with enough. The words easily flowed through his mouth, and Seunghyun even began to beatbox a little to help the mood.

Youngbae and Seungri clapped loudly when they finished, and Jiyong was grinning stupidly. There weren't many people he knew that he could have fun rapping with, which was why he mainly did it as a hobby when he was bored.

“Don't you think we go good together?” Seunghyun said as he pulled into the driveway of Daesung's house. “You may not have a deep voice, but I really like it.”

“Yeah, we're awesome!” Jiyong laughed, feeling giddy about himself. Daesung came running out of the house smiling, and he was nearing the door where Jiyong was sitting.

The blonde haired man looked surprised, his hand already grabbing the handle of the car door before he realized the seat was already taken. Youngbae opened the back door for Daesung. “Aish, Seunghun-ah you're so cruel to me!” Daesung exclaimed when he climbed into the car and had to squeeze through everybody to get the very back seat.

Seunghyun whirled his head back and stuck his tongue out at Daesung. “From now on Jiyong's my new seat buddy! Right?” He looked back at Jiyong and grinned, stretching his arm out to ruffle Jiyong's hair.

Jiyong felt the heat rise to his cheeks but tried to ignore the sensation and returned the grin back as casually as he could.

--

After an hour in the car, they arrived at the water park and everyone got out in high spirits. The car ride had already gotten the group closer, and 'awkward' would have been the last thing anyone would think when looking at them. (Of course, Jiyong praised his instinct.)

When everyone had changed, Jiyong noticed that Seunghyun was the only one with a T-shirt on. It wasn't even a thin white one, and Jiyong questioned the older man on it.

“Aah, I know I know,” Daesung said, patting Seunghyun gravely on the shoulder. “Guy never shows his body. The most you'll ever see are these arms of his.” He squeezed Seungyun's arm, making the taller man whack Daesung off of him.

Jiyong shrugged, but he continued to eye the shirt throughout their journey around the water park. It was bothering him- Seunghyun was model-status so why would he hide his body? Did he have some kind of scar or something, or he just wanted to stay confined? Did he feel inferior to Daesung's muscular body? Jiyong frowned to himself and tried putting his attention on Youngbae, who was jumping around everywhere. Seunghyun's body was of no concern to him anyway.

His thoughts were easily thrown to the side anyway, once he started having fun at the park. They quickly tackled most of the big slides, and Seunghyun made Jiyong sit with him in all the two-seat rides to spite Daesung (Jiyong wasn't complaining, really).

They took a break at the wave pool, and Youngbae seemed particularly excited. He began doing some sort of dance move in the water, amusing them all. Jiyong had been pushed further back because of the waves when suddenly a small body slammed into him, and his leg hit the side wall harshly. Jiyong gasped in pain, although it just gained him a mouthful of water and he choked it out.

“Sorry!” A laughing child 'apologized' before turning around to find his friends, who were playing some sort of rough game. Jiyong rolled his eyes and tried to ignore the pain that was gathering in his leg, and he slowly waded back to his own group, thinking none of them saw what happened as they didn't say anything. He didn't mention it either, thinking he'd seem weak if he did. He was already the skinniest of them all.

After a few minutes however, Jiyong was near scowling and couldn't join the others in their fun, but rather he watched them from the side. He was now hopping on his good leg only, but no one noticed since it was underwater.

“Jiyong,” Seunghyun called.

“Y-Yeah?” Jiyong turned to face the older man, but his leg brushed against someone passing by and he winced in pain.

Seunghyun waded towards Jiyong, his face straight. “Do you want to go up with me? I think I wanna dry up.”

“Um.. Alright,” Jiyong replied, not very fond of the idea. Although he wanted to get out and rest, he wasn't sure what Seunghyun wanted to do once they were out of the water. He'd probably start limping once they were on land too, making it obvious something was wrong.

Seunghyun started leading the way out, which made Jiyong glad that he might not be seen that much if Seunghyun's back was facing him. When they got out, Jiyong tried his best not to limp but it was still painful. Thank god, Seunghyun had walked over to a couple of free deck chairs and sat in one. He immediately rested his eyes on Jiyong, who was trying to walk normally to the chair next to Seunghyun.

“Are you tired, Seunghyun-ssi?” Jiyong asked, finally being able to lay back and rest his leg down. He let out a small breath of relief.

Seunghyun shrugged. “I expect we'll be leaving soon. I think everyone's a bit tired by this point..” He looked doubtfully towards the other three, who still seemed excited and energetic. “Just rest a bit for now, alright?”

Jiyong nodded slowly, noticing Seunghyun looking at his leg. , when did he notice? “I'm not a girl,” Jiyong grumbled. Seunghyun chuckled and laid back on the chair as well, resting his hands behind his head and looking away from Jiyong.

“How does it feel?”

“I'm gonna get a big ugly bruise.” Jiyong wrinkled his nose. “I'm not dying though.”

“Good. I don't want to be responsible for anything here,” Seunghyun joked.

“Is that what you really care about?” Jiyong laughed, shaking his head.

Seunghyun looked back at him, and Jiyong couldn't help but notice how his eyes glowed a nice shade of brown in the sun. It went well with the man's light brown hair, wet strands dangling above his eyes. “Well, as your hyung, I already feel bad for letting a cute little kid like you getting hurt.”

“Shut up,” Jiyong snapped back, trying not to laugh. “You know an actual little kid caused this though? I feel like such a weakling!”

Seunghyun gave a reassuring smile, and Jiyong couldn't help but clench his fists around his trunks nervously. Sheesh, look at me getting flustered around someone handsome. God I'm a weakling girl, Jiyong thought bitterly. Thankfully at that point, Daesung was approaching them, followed by Seungri and Youngbae.

“Okay, we're ready to go home now!” Daesung announced.

Seunghyun nodded and stood up, reaching a hand out towards Jiyong. Jiyong bit the bottom of his lip softly and accepted the help to get up. He felt a slight throb on his leg when he put pressure on it as he stood up, and it probably showed on his face because Seunghyun forced Jiyong's arm around his shoulder, helping the smaller boy lean on him.

“Are you okay?” Youngbae asked, looking worried.

“Yeah, just hurt my leg a little,” Jiyong admitted. He already felt embarrassed enough at how Seunghyun was helping him, but for some reason he couldn't bring himself to pull away.

After a few minutes of painful struggle, Jiyong was finally able to collapse into the warm car seat. Everyone was back in their original clothes and dry, and it was nearing sunset. Before heading home, they went to eat somewhere (that had spicy barbeque chicken for the request of Seungri) and afterward when night had fallen Jiyong began to feel utterly exhausted.

He was able to deal with his leg much better, but he just wanted to be able to rest really. Seunghyun decided to drop Jiyong off first, apparently having noticed Jiyong's silent pleas.

“Thanks guys, I had a lot of fun,” Jiyong said, smiling when he found the three in the back of the car falling asleep and unable to give him much of a reply. He looked back to Seunghyun, a little startled at the man's intent stare on him.

“Rest well,” Seunghyun murmured softly.

Jiyong nodded. “Thank you for today, hyung,” Jiyong said before departing and tiredly walking into his house. It was only when he was wrapped in his blankets later that night when he realized it had been the first time he called Seunghyun 'hyung,' and he giggled softly to himself.
