"He had a talk with me...," Taeyeon's mother told her one night as the both of them sat together at the dining table together. 

"And?" Taeyeon asked wanting her mother to continue. Her mother looked up to her, straight in the eyes with tears ready to fall, "He asked me to marry him," a single tear fell down her cheek. 

Taeyeon's heart broke in two. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was this right? Was it? Her father had just passed away not too long ago and...and...Taeyeon clenched her fist tightly.

"What did you say to him?" she asked in a calm tone of voice. Her mother shook her head and grabbed her daughter's hands, "Forgive me Taeyeon ah but...right now, you know how much debt we're in...I can't afford to pay for your college tuition without money," she explained to her daughter.

"Don't tell me..." Taeyeon couldn't believe it, she couldn't and she wouldn't, "You..."

"I am so sorry Taeyeon ah," her mother apologized with tears falling out, "I know that you love Joonmyun a lot...not like a younger brother but as a lover...I know," she reasoned, "but his father proposed to me and the only person who can take care of our financial needs right now is him."

Taeyeon hung her head down in disbelief, "You didn't believe in me umma," she quietly stated, "you didn't believe that I'll be able to pull us out of this debt even with father gone," and she rose her voice, "I can't...I JUST CAN'T!" Taeyeon pulled her hands out from her mother's grasp. She gave her mother one last look and took off from the house, "TAEYEON! TAEYEON!" her mother shouted after her.

"See you guys tomorrow then," Joonmyun told his fellow group mates as they walked him towards his neighborhood. 

"You sure you just don't want to spend the night at the dorms?" Kai asked his hyung. Joonmyun shook his head, "Nah, I'm okay, I'll just see you guys tomorrow at SM's building."

Kai nodded and waved bye. Joonmyun watched as his fellow group mates disappeared from his sight before spinning around to continue on. As he spun around he immediately stopped once he saw Taeyeon standing there before him with tears in his eyes. 

"Taeyeon?" he said quietly but loud enough for her to hear. He ran up to her and she immediately hugged him, "What's the matter?" he asked in concerned while patting her head, "I'm sorry I took so long to return home, I swear I didn't..." Taeyeon pushed Joonmyun roughly away from her and stepped backwards while shaking her head slowly.

"Taeyeon? What's gotten into you? I swear all of those rumors you've been reading and seeing on news are fake, all of them," He reasoned. 

"I don't care about those rumors Joonmyun ah," she finally spoke, "But...I'm sorry...I am not your future," she told him before running past him. He quickly grabbed her wrist before she could get any further, "Not my future?" he asked, "What's the meaning of this?"

Taeyeon wiped her tears and touched Joonmyun's face, "I'm so sorry...," she apologized. Taeyeon placed a chaste kiss on his lip before pulling her wrist out from his hand and took off again. 

"TAEYEON! TAEYEON!" he shouted but she never turned back around.

"Where did Taeyeon go?" her mother asked behind him. Joonmyun turned around, "Why is Taeyeon like that?" he asked her. Taeyeon's mother took in a deep breath, "She's disappointed," she began.

"Disappointed?"

"Soon, the both of you will be siblings," Taeyeon's mother broke the news out to him.

Joonmyun felt like his heart shattered into million pieces....
