Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!
I don´t want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need...December, the 24th 2010, Germany
It´s eight in the afternoon as Jenny decided to take a stroll around her hometown. Even though she had lived her for her whole life it felt fresh and like she was here for the first time.
The reason? Well, after years and years of wearing glasses she had gotten surgery and was now happy as can be! She had noticed herself gaining confidence but what was even more important she had started REALLY seeing the people and things around her.
Everything had grown more intense, from the wrapping paper, that she had ripped some hours ago to reach through to her presents, to the traditional Christmas meal she stuffed herself with.
A little smile spread on her face as she walked across the now deserted Christmas market towards the ice-rink that had been built in order to attract more tourists.
Only a few people were skating slowly across the ice: a couple with bright green matching snowboard jackets, two teenage girls in white and pink skinny jeans and an elderly man that seemed lost in his thoughts yet managed not to run into any of the other skaters.
It was mellow and the night with its dimmed lights felt relaxing for her eyes.
She must have stood like that for quite some time because when she felt the soft vibrating from her mobile she noticed the how cold her hands had gotten. Apparently she had gotten a message from her friend Conny.
"Wish you a merry christmas! :D have you finished eating? well I have, taking a walk now! so stuffed =_= and I ADVISE YOU TO DO TOO!! xD "
Confusedly Jenny started typing. "I am outside already. Why? O_o"
Slowly she slid her phone back into her pocket. She had often wondered about Conny´s antics but she was a bit too random just now.
Deeply thinking she started rounding the skating rink. It had considerably cooled down in the fast few days and she was starting to feel the chill in her bones.
Still something in the back of her mind didn´t let her go home now. So she kept on walking until she noticed that thick white bundles of snowflakes had started coming down, covering her hair and jacket with a white temporary layer.
Fascinated she held out her hands to gather the white precipitation.
And like that she forgot about the world around her: caught up in observing the fine melting texture.
Until someone lightly tapped her shoulder. GEEZ! Jenny nearly had a cardiac arrest.
Turning around she was ready to scold and cuss at the evildoer, well, if only she hadn´t been caught up in recovering from her second heart attack when she saw who tapped her: it was none other than Mblaq´s Lee Joon.
She violently rubbed her eyes. This just HAD to be a dream!
"I shouldn´t do that!" He said in excellent English taking hold of her wrist. She now saw that he was wearing a seemingly heavy navy coat, a fedora, a backpack and... a bag of Dunkin´ Donuts? Jenny still questioned her sanity, even when Joon started introducing himself slowly, telling her that he was asked to keep her company this day.
When Jenny still didn´t speak or budge he opened the DD bag offering her a deliciously looking treat. started watering and finally she retrieved her ability to talk. "Is this for real? I mean you...and the donut?"
Joon almost cried tears laughing so hard. Of course he was real, he ensured her. This was his good deed this Christmas he said giving her an encouraging smile and holding the donut up to .
Taking a bite, letting the chocolaty aroma do a little victory dance on her tongue she finally started processing what was happening here and soon enough the both of them had engaged in a discussion on German and Korean Coffee Shops.
It was about 11pm when Jenny AND Joon stood in her family´s living room. She had almost wrecked her brain coming up with a logical reason to let him stay for the night.
Strangely enough her parents and her brother looked anything but surprised. Apparently "someone" had briefed them about this situation already (and so a sleeping place had already been carefully set up).
For the rest of the day Joon was busy getting to know Jenny and being pampered by Jenny´s mom (and he seemed to enjoy it a lot). So when Joon was about to have his third serving of cookies Jenny went into the hall to take her phone out of the pocket of her jacket. Surely enough she had an unread text message:
from: Conny
Have fun! Merry Christmas ;D
