Hoon was reading a book in the library for his essay in History but he got distracted when he heard some girls squealing at him. He sighs, how can he concentrate on the book that his reading.
So he closes the book, stood up from his chair and left the library. Hoon went to his classroom where he saw the others talking to each other, he went to his sit to grab his things.
“Hoon, you’re going home already?” Kiseop ask when he noticed Hoon, all the members were focus to him now. Hoon smiled at them, “Yeah! I need to finish reading this book so I can start to write my essay.”
“Well it can’t be help. I’ll call you when some schedule came up, okay?” Soohyun said while grinning making Hoon nod. “Thanks, Hyung”
“Bye!” All of them waved at him and said in unison, Hoon waved back and left the classroom.
Hoon walked his way home so he can continue reading his book peacefully in his room but his eyes suddenly fixated to the café on the other street.
Without hesitating he went inside the café, looking around and noticed a few people. ‘I can read here for the meantime’ he thought as he went to an empty table at the corner.
He gets his book from his bag and started to read where he just left off from the library.
After a while, Hoon stops reading as he notice that someone is putting a drink and a cake on his table. “Um… I didn’t order anything” he said as he looked at the girl.
The girl smiled, “This is one of our free service to all first costumers here in our café”
“Please enjoy your drink and cake while reading your book,” she said and bows her head a little then went back to the counter.
Hoon blink a few times, but went back to look at the drink and the cake. He took the cake and starts to eat it. He seriously loved sweets so he just can’t ignore the cake and besides he needs a little break from reading his book.
He was going to drink his tea when he notice a note attached to it. ‘Tea and books - Mmmmmm, two of life's exquisite pleasures that together brings near-bliss’
Hoon smiled when he read the note, he look around to find the girl then she saw her at the counter. She notice him, she suddenly smiled making Hoon blush as he went back to drink his tea but he can’t help but smiled when he glance a little and notice that she’s laughing.
The next day…
Hoon came inside the classroom with a smile crept on his face. AJ noticed it, “What’s this? Hoon is smiling like an idiot this early in the morning.”
The other members noticed it as well, Kiseop wrap his arm on Hoon’s neck while Dongho did the same on the other side. “So what’s up with you? Did something good happen?” Kiseop asked
Hoon smiled even more and showed his essay to s. “I finally finished my essay!” he said happily and did a little victory dance.
The members jaw-dropped at what Hoon just said making Dongho hissed as he sat down, “What the hell! That’s the reason why you’re in a good mood today?”
“And here I thought that you finally found a girl you like?” Eli added, making the other members agreed to his statement.
“That’s impossible” Hoon muttered, biting his lower lip as he went to his sit. The members notice the sudden change reaction of him. Soohyun grinned when he notice how red Hoon’s ears were, “I think Eli hit the jackpot”
“Really?” Kevin said happily
Soohyun pointed to Hoon’s ears, “This is the proof! Look how red his ears are.” Hoon suddenly covered his ears and tried to look away from his friends but they were persistent and want to know more.
They started to until he spill about the girl he likes but that soon ended when their teacher came inside the classroom making him sigh in relief.
When class ended, Soohyun got a call from their manager that they need to meet him to discuss something. He told the others and went outside their school to meet their manager.
“So were going to be busier starting tomorrow and afterwards” Kiseop said and they replied “Yeah!” as they watch their manager’s car leave.
Kevin suddenly clasps his hands together with a bright smile on his face. “Why don’t we go to my aunt’s café to eat something because when tomorrow comes, they’re going to ban us to eat some sweets”
Hoon suddenly raised his hand, “I’m in!”
They laugh at Hoon while Soohyun tap his shoulder, “When it comes to sweet, you’ll definitely go for it”
“Of course” Hoon said happily. “Well let’s go then,” Soohyun added as they started to go to the café.
Hoon looks around at the familiar route that they’re going. Kevin points the café on the other side of the street, “That’s my aunt’s café”
Hoon’s eyes widen when Kevin pointed to the café where he just went yesterday. “Let’s go!” Kevin added as they cross the street.
They went inside the café and went to an empty table, looking at the menu to order something.
“Excuse me…” Kevin said, trying to get an attention from his aunt’s workers. Suddenly a girl went to their table. Hoon saw that it was the girl from yesterday so he suddenly tried to hide or not show his face.
“What can I do for… K-Kevin!?!” She was surprised when she saw Kevin and notice his friends who were trying to order.
“U-Kiss!?! What are you guys doing here?”
Kevin and the others made ‘sshh’ noises. “Please! Don’t say our name out loud Hyeri” Kevin told her politely. She winks at them with a smile on her face. “I won’t. So what do you guys want to eat?”
“Strawberry cake!” Kiseop and AJ said in unison, “Any drinks are okay for us” Soohyun added.
“Okay! Please wait for a while” Hyeri said while going back to the counter to prepare their order but Hoon suddenly adds something while waving at her. “Could you add some cookies as well?”
Hyeri suddenly trip when she saw Hoon, some glasses were broken and the costumers were staring at her but Hoon suddenly stood up to help her.
“Are you okay?” he asks worriedly but Hyeri didn’t say anything and she fainted.
Hyeri suddenly woke up and sat up, remembering what just happen. “Ah! Hyeri, your awake now” her manager said. She stood up and bowed, “I’m sorry manager. I broke some glasses a while ago”
Her manager smiled, patting her shoulders “Don’t worry about it. I’m happy that you didn’t get hurt from the broken glasses.”
“Hey! Are you okay?” Eli and Kiseop asked worriedly. Hyeri was confused to see both of them but she backs away a little when she noticed how close their faces to hers.
Hyeri heard some voices until she saw Kevin coming in the room, “Hey Aunty! Is Hyeri okay now?” They noticed that she’s already awake making Hoon to suddenly bow as he apologizes to her. “I’m sorry”
She was surprised but in the same time, embarrassed.
“Ah! Hoon, you don’t need to apologize, Hyeri was surprised to see you again. Actually she likes you in the group and no one else” Kevin’s aunt explained making the members and Hoon shock “WHAT!?!”
“MANAGER!?!” Hyeri protests but she suddenly covers her own mouth. She looks up to see Hoon, she was blushing but she suddenly said. “I should go make some caramel milk tea then”
“Caramel milk tea!?!” The members were curious until Kevin’s aunt butts in “That’s Hyeri’s specialty here in the café”
They went to the counter, watching Hyeri making her specialty as they start to get amazed on how she makes them. She kept glancing to Hoon until she met an eye contact with him making her to look away and concentrate on what she’s doing.
When she’s done, she gave each one of them of her caramel milk tea and smiled happily. They inhale the sweet aroma of the tea.
“It smells good!” they all said and Dongho added after taking a sip, “It’s really caramel.”
They drank the tea and all of them said in unison. “Delicious!”
“I told you, that’s her specialty” Kevin’s aunt tried to convince them that Hyeri’s good and all they did was to nod in agreement.
“Hoon, are you coming with us to eat lunch?” Soohyun said as he taps Hoon’s shoulder to get his attention but he shook his head, “I’m going to the library to return this book.”
He showed the book that his holding to s, AJ points the book while furrowing his eyebrows and asked. “We thought you already return that book yesterday?”
Hoon shrugged as he walk passed by AJ, “I didn’t, that’s why I’ll return it today. I’ll try to catch up with you guys at the cafeteria” he said as he left the room.
After returning the book from the library, he was on his way to the cafeteria to be with others but he noticed someone familiar chatting on the hallway. Without even knowing that his feet went to them until he saw it was Hyeri.
She was surprised making her friends to leave both of them while giggling.
Hoon suddenly rubbed his nape as he started to talk, “I… ah.. Thanks for the drink yesterday. It was really delicious.” Hyeri didn’t say anything but her face was bright red making Hoon to notice her.
“Hey! Do you have a fever?” Hoon asked, putting his hand to her forehead making Hyeri startled but backs away a little. “I don’t have a fever.” She replied shyly, covering her face with both of her hands.
“So you really do like me…” He said with a grin on his face making Hyeri a little stunned, and then Hoon continued, “I also like you but not that kind of feeling towards you.” His face was serious, opening his mouth to speak until he saw her walking away.
“Hey! Wait…” Hoon muttered, grabbing Hyeri’s wrist and he was shock to see that she was crying. “Leave me alone.” She protested, forcing him to let go as she shoved her arm.
She left making Hoon by himself, clenching his fist as he suddenly punch the wall.
It’s been two weeks ever since U-Kiss hangs out at the café but they noticed how quiet Hoon is when Hyeri is around. They want to know what happen between those two but neither of them spoke or want to talk about it, and it made them worried as well.
One day, Hyeri’s shift was over and Kevin decided to talk to her about what happen between her and Hoon until his aunt stop him and told him. “You and your friends will work for today here at my café.”
Kevin’s eyes widen and surprised because of what she said. “What do you mean work?”
“Hyeri is busy with her studies so for now, you and your friends will be a substitute, besides I bet I’ll have a lot of female customers because of you boys.” His aunt explained until Kevin noticed that there are a lot of female customers inside the café.
Kevin saw his friends serving those customers with drinks and desserts, he puts his hand to his forehead as he sighs “It can’t be help.” He mumbled and went to help out but he couldn’t help to stared at Hoon, forcing a smile on his face while serving the costumers.
Hoon was on his way home from helping Kevin’s aunt to work at the café. He stretched his arms while walking until he heard Hyeri’s voice from somewhere. He stops from walking as he tries to listen where it came from until he noticed that someone was grabbing her arm.
“Hey! Why don’t you come with us, we’re going to have some fun”
Hyeri tried to get away from the man’s grip as she protested “I don’t want to.” But the other man grab her other arm, trying to make her stop struggling as he said, “What a stubborn girl. You should just come with us.”
Hoon clench both of his fists as he walks towards them and punch the guy hard on the stomach making him fall down. “She just said that she didn’t want to”
The other guy got pissed when he saw his friend on the ground. “Who do you think you are?” He said as he tried to punch him but Hoon dodged it by moving his body to the side and smack the guy’s back using his elbow.
Hoon suddenly grab Hyeri’s wrist and started to leave but the guy on the ground said something.
“Aren’t you Yeo Hoonmin?”
Hoon stopped walking as he look at the guys he beat up and answered back seriously, “There’s no way I look like him. I’m stronger than he is and if you two ever laid a hand to my girlfriend, you two will be going to hell.”
He smirked after what he said making the guys look terrified and they continue to walk away.
Hyeri couldn’t stop staring at Hoon’s hand to hers and suddenly she remembers him saying ‘girlfriend’ to those guys that are trying to hit on her.
She started to cry making Hoon to noticed, he suddenly cupped both of her cheeks while using his thumb to wipe her tears.
“I’m sorry! I wasn’t true with my feelings but now it is.” He whispered making Hyeri to look at his eyes as he continued to talk. “The truth is I already like you ever since you gave me a drink with a note on it when I came to the café for the first time.”
“So…” Hyeri mumbled
Hoon suddenly blushed but didn’t break eye contact and starts to lean closer to her. “You’re mine.” He muttered and kissed her, not waiting for her reply.
Their kiss was sweet and passionate and as they broke the kiss, both of them were blushing for what they just did but smiled to each other.

“Let’s go back to the café” Hoon said making Hyeri to nod until he intertwines his hand to her as they start walking.
“Can you teach me how to make your specialty?” He said shyly
Hyeri smiled happily as she starts to lead their walk. “Making caramel milk tea is not easy as you think it is but I think you can manage.” She giggled then Hoon puff his cheeks and said, “It depends on how you will teach me.”
They laugh as they made their way back to the café and might tell good news to their friends.
