Witnessing a Death
True Ghost StoriesI was in Vietnam at that time for a vacation. My family and I stayed in one of the hotels in Saigon for a week before going to Ca Mau.
I always hear rumors about a ghost appearing in front of the elevator at 11:00 at night. It said that the ghost is a young girl, around the age of eighteen. People say that when they enter the elevator alone with the girl, the girl will show them how she died.
However, like I said, they were rumors.
Rumors which I thought was bs.
But I soon learned the rumors were true.
When I witnessed her death...
It was late at night, around eleven o'clock. I was hanging out with some friends during the evening. We had so much fun that I lost track of the time and missed the last bus that night. As a result, I had to walk home.
There was no one in the hallway at that time besides the hotel staff in the front.
I made my way to the elevator and went in. The door was closing but was stopped when a young girl stuck her hand in. I could smell the alcohol coming from her and I immediately knew she was drunk when she unstably walked in. She accidentally bumped into me but I didn't feel her touching me. I looked over and I saw her going through me!
I tried to get out of the elevator but the door closed and wouldn't open.
*Is that the rumor that's been going around? Then..could she be the ghost?* I stood in the corner and looked at her. She didn't seem to notice me. *According to the rumors I heard, the ghost will show us how she died.* My eyes widened in shock. *Does that mean?!*
At that moment, the elevator stopped on the fifth floor and a man entered. The man pulled out a knife and started stabbing the girl's stomach.
"AHHH!!" she yelped in pain. I covered my face as I cried. I peeked through my hands and to my horror, the whole elevator was covered in blood! The man dragged her body through the elevator and disappeared.
The elevator opened and I quickly rushed out. One of the staff saw me and quickly chased after me.
"Miss, is everything alright?" he asked. I looked at him with tears in my eyes and pointed to the elevator. "There's blood all over!" I screamed.
He looked over to the elevator and furrowed his eyebrows.
"There's nothing..." he whispered.

This happened just last year during summer to one of my sisters. We left the hotel the next morning and the staff asked us not to tell anyone what happened. My sister have been scared of ghosts ever since that incident and never stayed at a hotel again.
