Minho stood there, dumbfounded, looking down at the front door of the Shinee dorm room. A small ball of sopping wet fur was curled up in the corner, two light brown eyes peeking up at him. It let out a small, quiet mew, and before it was done lementing, Minho had scooped it up and rushed inside. He went straight to the bathroom, finding a clean towel and wrapping up the small kitten. It mewed at him again as he gently patted it dry, his own hair still dripping from the rain outside.

The house was empty, the rest of the members being off at individual schedules. The manager would be furious if he found out Minho had brought a stray cat inside the dorm. But he couldn't just leave it there. He picked it up, still wrapped cozily in the towel, and went to the kitchen. He looked around in the fridge, finding some leftover beef from a few nights before. He put it in the microwave, gently petting the kitten as he waited for it to warm. The timer beeped, and he took out the meat, putting it on a small plate and placing it on the floor, unwrapping the kitten and showing it the food.

"You must be hungry," Minho murmered as the kitten scarfed down the food. It looked up at him, raising it's tail and meowing at him again. He smiled, patting it's head before it returned to it's food. The front door suddenly opened, Key and Taemin walking into the dorm. Minho stood, blocking the view of the kitten from the two.

"We're back! Mmmh, what smells so good?" Taemin said, slipping off his shoes and dumping his umbrella next to the door.

"Minho..." Key began, looking around the house, "did you not take your shoes off? And why are you in the kitchen? You never cook..." He looked skeptically over at Minho, who looked down and realized he was soaking wet, and still in his muddy shoes. He fidgeted, giving Key a ridiculous grin. And then the kitten meowed.

Taemin let out a sqeal of delight as he moved Minho out of the way and picked up the kitten. It trilled at him, reaching his paw out to Tamin's face. The maknae smiled at the kitten, holding it to his chest and rubbing it behind the ears. Key glared at Minho as he took off his own shoes and put both umbrellas away. He made his way over to the kitchen, trying his hardest to ignore the mudstains on the carpet leading to the bathroom, and looked at the kitten. It looked over at him, letting out another cute mew. The blonde smiled at the kitten, patting it's head, then turned back to Minho.

"We'll keep it for now. But if the manager wants it out, it's out," he said, retrieving cleaner and some rags from under the sink. Minho nodded, removing his shoes and retreating to the bedroom to change clothes. Taemin plopped himself down on the couch as Key cleaned, putting the kitten in his lap and wiggling his fingers just out of it's reach. The kitten joyfully batted at his fingers, earning a giggle from the redhead.

"Don't get too attatched," Key said, scrutinizing his work. The mud was still slightly visible, but it would have to do. "Who knows how Manager-nim will take having an animal in the house." Taemin stopped laughing, gently petting the kitten. It looked between him and his fingers, batting at them again. When he didn't wiggle them again, it calmed down, curling up and purring as it was petted.

Minho walked out of the bedroom in fresh clothes, a towel draped over his shoulders. Just outside the door, the voices of the two remaining members and the manager could be heard. Taemin pet the kitten one more time, as Key put away the cleaning supplies and Minho braced himself for being yelled at.

I know, I know; Fyre_Fly! You already have a fanfic going that you take forever to update!

I've found I work better if I have multiple projects to switch between, trust me ^w^

This fanfic is more on a whim, a simple idea I had this morning while my mind was wandering. I don't really have any plot set up for it, it'll just kind of be a write-as-ideas-come-to-me sort of thing. So I can definitely say this one will have no predictable update schedule or anything like that. This one is supposed to be a bit more light-hearted than my main project, for my own sake more than anything <__<
