chasing starsAs Jennie woke up for the second day in the sterile hospital room, her eyes were drawn to the glass barrier separating her from the opposite room.
But something was different.
A small note was plastered on the glass barrier, capturing Jennie’s attention. The note was stuck on the other side of the glass, but its message was facing her room. It read, “Hi, I’m Roseanne. You can call me Rosie. What’s your name? :)”
Jennie’s eyes widened in surprise as she read the note. A flicker of confusion danced across her face, mingling with a glimmer of curiosity. She glanced over at the patient on the opposite room, who gave her a small wave with a smile.
She wrote a note to me? She wondered.
