Changbin's Last First Letter

     Hello.

I tried to write it for many times, but I'm not sure if this will come as the best version. And maybe I shouldn't even be writing at all. I don't know if you remember me, and if you do, I guess it might not be the best memory for you now. I'm sorry for it.

The reason why I'm writing, if you ask me, is not because I feel sorry about you, Hyunjin. I feel sorry about how everything turned out, but I'm not sorry for you… being you. Or for meeting you.

By now you're probably confused about my words, and I don't blame you. I've been very confused myself for the past months, to the point I didn't recognize me. And the reason why I felt like that way, it was you.

I don't expect you to read this until the end... For all I know, you might have thrown it away already, or shattered it into pieces. But there’s one thing I want you to know.

For the last years I've been numb. To put it in the real words, I've been dead inside. And it was like that until I met you.

I know we only met once in person, and that day is still very confusing in my head. Sometimes, when I recall it, I think I might be delusional that day, because I almost felt like you recognized me. The real you, recognizing the real me. That would be insane.

But what I wanted to tell you was that because of you I felt alive again. I felt a warmth that I haven’t felt in a long time, and that’s all thanks to you. Though, it was totally unintentional from your side. I know that.

I wish I could have met you as just Hyunjin, a man who loves to dance. And you could have met me as just Changbin, a man who loves… a man who loves the scent of flowers and white satin. Who loves the moonlight and the soft breeze of the night coming through the window.

If you're still reading it by now, I hope you can have a good recovery. More than anyone, I know scars can bring back bad memories, so I hope you can learn how to live with yours, as  I'm also trying to do with mine.

I won't bother you anymore, so don't think about it too much. Eat well and stay healthy.

Chapter 2: I don’t recall characters brushing their teeth in much of the stories i have read and idk why that scene where binnie and jinnie were brushing their teeth felt so domesticated and i was like ‘damn hygiene first’… i am starting to sound weird…
As cheesy as it may sound i would say the title of the story is very befitting as i could feel the homely vibe, warmth, that was portrayed. Thanks a lot for another amazing read. Much love.
