Taeyeon became a music teacher after she graduated. Seulgi started commissioning art projects ever since she was a student, so when it was her turn to graduate, she didn't have much of a difficult time landing gigs.
Her most important work, Seulgi, would say, however, is when her former teacher at Makiling asked her to join their team of comic book artists. Their team was made to come up with graphic novels and comic books which bespoke the remembrance of history - the stories, lives, dreams and battles of the Filipinos during times when their freedoms were under threat.
"Alam mo Ate Taeyeon kung ano ang isa sa pinakamahalagang bagay na dapat maituro simula pagkabata?" Seulgi asked Taeyeon as they ate at the latter's place one Friday night.
"Ano?" Taeyeon said, genuinely curious.
"Na ang kulay ng demokrasya ay hindi dilaw o pula, kundi isang bahaghari na hango sa iba't ibang kulay ng mga karanasan, pangarap at paglaban ng mga ordinaryong Pilipino - katulad mo, katulad ko," Seulgi responded.
Taeyeon nodded. This belief was clearly evident in the comic book project which Seulgi is a part of. They don't draw or tell stories of politicians, but of Filipinos from different sectors whose lives were affected by issues that have yet to be addressed or resolved.
