Minjeong was right.

For the first time in her life, Jimin enjoyed riding on the blonde's huge motorcycle. She actually had a traumatic experience when she was younger which made her stop riding big bikes that bring nothing but danger.

That night was different.

Jimin held on Minjeong's waist as tightly as possible and the younger could only laugh at how shaky the raven-haired girl was when she started driving. She went on a slow yet steady pace and Jimin could feel the cold breeze hitting her face. As soon as Jimin's tight grip on her petite waist loosened a little, Minjeong decided to drive a bit faster to which her passenger didn't mind at all.

“How are you feeling back there?” Minjeong asked, making her voice a bit loud for Jimin to hear.

“I'm just thankful because I'm not dead yet,” she jokingly replied which made the blonde laugh.

Even Minjeong's laugh sounded beautiful.

The both of them reached Jimin's house before ten in the evening. The raven-haired girl thought she'd be able to sneak in because her father sleeps early after work but she was wrong. Mister Yoo was standing behind the steel gate, arms crossed and eyes squinted to stare not at Jimin, but at the blonde riding the motorcycle.

“Yu Jimin,” her father called as soon as he got out of the gate. The man's voice was a bit threatening and Minjeong only looked away to avoid his questioning look.

“Uhm, hey.. dad.”

“Don't 'hey dad' me, young lady. Where on earth have you been? Your sister and I have been worried sick! Why is your phone off? Who is this girl with you? And why did you ride such a dangerous thing?!” Jimin's father bombarded her with a lot of questions and she couldn't help but to feel embarrassed especially with Minjeong listening. She sighed before taking the helmet off and hanging it on one of the handles.

“I told you this already, didn't I? I won't be able to come home earlier than usual anymore because of my council duties. Apparently, I lost the last route of the bus and Minjeong was coincidentally inside the school premises so she offered to bring me home instead of letting me walk. You should at least thank her for not letting me get kidnapped or some sort,” Jimin explained in such a calm way to which the blonde was really surprised of. If it was her father that yelled at her that way, Minjeong would have thrown a fit by now.

The old man just gave a sigh of defeat before nodding at the blonde who was just silently looking at the both of them.

“Get inside and let's talk about this,” said Jimin's father before heading in first.

The raven-haired girl faced the younger girl with a slightly embarrassed expression.

“Thanks for helping me get home. I'm sorry about my dad. He can be overly protective sometimes,” she softly stated.

Minjeong just shrugged before showing off a wide smile.

“It's fine, really. I guess it's understandable to become very protective when he has a daughter who is as beautiful as you,” the blonde replied casually before hopping on the motorcycle. Jimin couldn't help but to blush at the reply.

“I'll see you when I see you, President Yu.”

The 'talk' that Jimin had with her father wasn't about Minjeong or the late night motorcycle ride. Much to the raven-haired girl's surprise, her older sister had rented a dormitory for her so she won't be able to stress out about having to leave school early and coming home late everyday. Although it would be hard for Jimin to adjust without seeing her beloved family, she just thought it was for the best. Besides, it will only be just for a year because she will be moving back to her home once she graduates.

Jimin was now putting all of her groceries away after a long and tiring day. Her dorm wasn't as spacious as the others but she certainly feels very comfortable inside especially with the huge window beside her bed that has the most beautiful view of the city.

“Wow, I can't believe your dad is actually letting you live freely now,” Aeri commented as soon as she stepped inside the door with a paper bag full of snacks on her hand. Jimin invited the brunette to a little housewarming party since her unit was just a few blocks away from where Jimin's new dorm was located.

“Yeah, it's surprising actually. I guess they kinda felt bad about the fact that I have to go on long bus rides just to be able to get to my destinations. This will only be for a year though, Riri. Maybe I should start getting myself used to the nonstop calls on my phone because it's first time living away from my family.”

Aeri could only chuckle. Despite Jimin's age, her father and her older sister still treats her like a baby.

“Will you be fine with it? You're very close with uncle Yu and Jihan unnie and I'm certain you would miss them a lot.”

Jimin just smiled. She grabbed the bottle of sparkling water that her best friend handed her before starting to dig in the opened bag of barbecue chips.

“Homesickness is something that I'm already anticipating. But I think I'll be fine as long as I can see them by doing video calls whenever I get home from school,” she replied.

Jimin spent the rest of her day watching studio ghibli movies. Aeri only stayed with her for two hours because she had a lot of homeworks to finish. When Jimin checked her wristwatch, it was already seven
