Lust for Vengeance

Since the beginning of the Goryeo dynasty in 918, the existence of creatures baring sharp canine-like fangs, eyes that turn crimson from the thirst for blood and pale complexion have instilled fear and horror to the people for centuries. 

When the reign of the king of Goryeo dynasty was ended by a general that soon became the first king of the Joseon dynasty in 1392. The king of Joseon waged a war on the creatures causing terror in the mainland. 

A royal decree proclaimed by the king states that these creatures will be hunted and executed on sight by fire or decapitation. However, no one truly knows the origin of these creatures and what their true objectives are. 

The first king soon married his love and bore a male infant in 1393 and another one five years after that. The first child was destined to become the next successor to the throne. Their family became known as the royal family. A family who has got complete control over the rest of the people of Joseon. 

In 1418, the first child, whose name was Kwon Jiyong, was crowned as the king of Joseon. In order to secure his position, he must marry someone who holds a high position and bear a male infant to continue the reign. However, the person he married could not bear a child and ordered to capture hundreds of women to be his concubines. 

But he will only choose one to bear a child and during the process he will get to play with these women forced against their own will. 

Amidst the chaos taking place within and outside of the royal palace, the crowned king will encounter a woman who may extinguish the ardent fire of disorder or come out of the ashes and into the fire and cause a greater upheaval.
