This fic was written as part of EXO Rare Pairings Fest 2020. The prompt will be revealed once all chapters have been posted. The total chapters will be five, with the fifth chapter nearly done ish. Expect a couple of weeks, possibly a month if I spend more time crying about writing than actually writing.

I expected this fic to be... 10.000 words or so, but THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN. At the time of writing it's nearly 40.000, but as mentioned, that will probably change. I estimate maybe... 35.000 in the end, but eeeh, it may end up with 40.000 despite me cutting stuff away because I'm dumb.

Also, just an end note regarding the controversy surrounding Yifan these days: The character bearing the name Yifan will stick around for this fic. If that is upsetting to you, please do not feel obligated to read on (if you wish, I can summarise the scenes with him in it, which won't be many, I promise you). I will write him out of other current works of mine, and he will have no role in new fics. I haven't really followed the news about him recently, aka I'm not up-to-date, but I thought it best to mention.
