The Resolve

“Yeon-ah,” my senior called. “Yes Seonbaenim?” I looked up at him from my computer. My seat was located right in front of him, and the separator between our table was not that high; basically, we did not exactly have an enclosed personal space in this office. “It’s lunch time,” he told me. I immediately looked at the bottom right corner of my computer where the time was showed, and it was indeed already lunch time.

“Right,” I smiled sheepishly at him, while my hand moved to save the document I was working on. “Thanks for always reminding me,” I put my computer into hibernate mode. He snorted as a reply, “You’re always too immersed in your work, to the point that it’s not good for your health- and you already forgot lunch time even on your first day.” I playfully squinted my eyes at him, “That is so not-”

“What Jongdae said is so true,” our supervisor interrupted when she passed by us. And I think I saw her rolling her eyes as she did so. My face felt hot as I was obviously caught red-handed at their accusation, “But Professor-”

“I’m going out for lunch, see you later~” she went out while ignoring my whining, leaving only the two of us in her office room. Kim Jongdae let out an annoying giggle at our Professor’s antiques, “Even Professor Lee agrees with me.”

Huffing at his teasing, I grabbed my purse and walked out the office ahead of him. “Hey, hold up!” he was still laughing, and he caught up with me in no time. I did not regard him at all. “Come on, don’t be mad at me,” he nudged my shoulder. “Someone will have my head if you continue in a bad mood like this,” he mumbled loud enough for me to hear. I had to admit, his way with words really made no one can be mad at him for a long time.

“No, Oppa, Sehun will not have your head,” I rolled my eyes at his over-reaction. “Yes!” he cheered by himself upon making me talk to him again, and I could not help but to quirk a small smile at his reaction. “And no, I wasn’t actually talking about Sehun, but don’t mind it,” he waved his hand to change the topic. But it was not like I would let him be.

“Not Sehun? Then who? Professor Lee?” I raised an eyebrow up. “Your sister,” he answered with a duh tone. “And yes, Professor Lee too,” he added. “Professor Lee will have my head if I ever mess up with you, her new favorite and only intern- and that is not good at all,” he shuddered, thinking about what our Professor would do to him. I have only saw her in a bad mood once, and I could affirm that it was not a good thing at all- the thought made me shudder too. “And don’t even start about your sister,” he pointed out. I snorted at that, “Sure, can’t wait for the day Sooyoung-eonni breaks up with you.”

While he did not give me any verbal response, he did flick up a certain finger at me, making me laugh out loud. “Lover boy is calling you, by the way,” Jongd

Chapter 12: This story was amazing and I felt so heartbroken for the main character as she dealt with Sehun and his treatment. I would love if you wrote a different story and kept this one the way it is because I find it already so perfect. I'm super excited to read your future work as you are truly talented as a writer and made me truly feel for the characters. Thank you for sharing <3

AAAH I just want to punch Sehun or cuss him up for her lol One of my friends actually started to do similar things and I ended up just telling her off and said that I'm pretty sure our friendship is over and that I was okay with it. She ended up freaking out and apologizing and we ended up meeting up to hash things out. She understood my point of view and my frustrations and I learned more about why she was being such a terrible friend. It ended up making us stronger and we now talk much more often. Just wanted to tell my story in case any other readers are going through something similar and could relate. I could've probably started up the conversation differently but she was constantly avoiding hanging out and replied to messages a week late so I ended up being blunt and cold-hearted with my response.

Chapter 12: Hi!! i think it would be better to write another story, cause this one ended!!! and that is final (just joking), just think it was a good closure, cause (even if it did not ended as i was expecting), not all stories will end as we wold like or predict. Sooooooooooooo, it would be lovely of you to start another with a fresh start. Good luck author nim!!!!!!!

Chapter 12: Hey author-nim !
I totally understand how writing about your own reality is challenging, be it merging fiction with reality or writing the whole of the true story down. In my opinion, since it is going to change so much from this current story, I would prefer another story (be it a side story or this one re-written). I understand your apprehensions on how some may find the potential repetitions boring but others (like me) may actually not mind at all and even enjoy getting immersed in those characters' lives once again. Wishing you good luck and a flow of inspiration for your future projects ♡

Chapter 11: Well, the story wasn't like I expect it to be at the prologue.
As I understand it, I didn't feel like she was his rebound but that he really likes her but was scared off by JM and didn't fight for it and just give up. As for her, she shouldn't have hid from him that she was close to JM in the first place.

So I can't get sad for her and I can't say that what Sehun did wasn't good.
