After 2 months coma, Irene wake up to unfamiliar place and people around her. They looking at her with teary eyes

“Who are you guys?” she asking and frown

A middle age woman is looking at her then she smile “Baby, I am your mother and this is your dad”

“Okay”

Mr. Bae turn to a doctor beside him “Doctor, how long her amnesia will take over her?”

“I can’t guarantee sir but it is temporary so as long as you all help her to gain her memory back, it won’t take long. However, don’t force her to remember it. Take it slow and whenever she encountered with something she used to see or somewhere she familiar with or someone she know, she may get massive headache. Be extra careful on it. The memory might be come and go so help her to gain it”

“Okay doctor”

“That’s all for now sir, I take my leave now”

“Alright, thank you doctor” the parents said before the doctor left the room

“Dad, mom why did I end up here?”

“Sweetie, you involve in accident months ago and you lost your memories” Mrs. Bae said

“That’s mean I don’t know anything about me”

“Yes dear, but don’t worry we will help you to remember everything” Mr. Bae said

“Thank you dad” Irene smile to her father

“Someone will come here and she will help you with your memory” Mrs. Bae stated to her daughter

“Who is it mom?”

“Your childhood friend, she is on her way here”

“Okay”

Few minutes later, a girl around Irene age arrived at the ward. She looked so pretty in baby blue blouse with black skinny jeans. Her hair is colored brown that make her breathtakingly beautiful

“Hi mom, dad” she greet Mr. Bae and Mrs. Bae. Irene confused when she heard the girls call her parents with mom and dad. She wondered if they are family members or at least so close with each other

“Hi Wendy”

“Sorry mom, I stuck in traffic jammed that’s why I take a bit longer”

“It’s okay Wendy, we understand that you’re busy. It’s good enough that you can spare time for our baby”

“Remember to take care of her” Mr. Bae said with meaningful stare

“Yes dad, I will” Wendy nods her head

Irene just stare at them blankly. She don’t have idea what they are talking about but from what she heard, Wendy could be someone close to her and her family

“Baby, me and your dad will go out for a while. Wendy will stay here with you, okay?” Ms. Bae caressed Irene hair softly

“Okay mom”

After the elder exit the room, Wendy take a sit on the bed beside Irene

“Hi Rene” Wendy smile warmly

“Rene?” she puzzled

“Your name is Irene, you mom don’t tell you?”

Irene shake her head slowly “No”

“Maybe they left it to me” Wendy sighs inaudibly

“Are you someone close to me?”

“Yes, we’re really close to each other and we meet since diapers. When you’re 15 years old, your family move back to Korea and you never contact me anymore after few months”

Irene suddenly feel bad “Sorry for that”

“It’s okay, I don’t mind though”

“You will help me to get back my memory, right?”

“Of course, I will do anything for you”

“Thanks Wendy”

“Seungwan, call me Seungwan. You give me nickname Wannie and I call you Rene”

“Okay then” Irene smile happily. At least she meet someone who she can trust and know her since she is little girl

Meanwhile, Wendy always keep in her mind that Mr. Bae and his wife told her not to say anything about Irene’s Korean name and her past relationship. She can tell her everything but not her relationship with certain someone

“Rene, do you feel better now?”

Irene closed her eyes for a while before answer the question “I don’t know. There is something keep playing in my mind and my heart feel like I need something or someone. Things feel blank now”

“Don’t force yourself to remember stuff. We will take it slow, alright? Don’t burden your mind”

“Okay” Irene nods blankly

It’s true that there is her mind keep thinking of something or someone. She feels like she waiting for someone to come but she don’t know what is it. It makes her really confuse with what happen.

Irene wake up from her sleep as she decide to take a nap for a while. Her parents and Wendy go out to work but Wendy told her that she will come as quick as she can so that she is not alone in her room. Almost a week passed, Wendy treat her really nice. They grow fond with each other and Irene concluded that Wendy is talkative and bubbly. Every lunch time, Wendy will come and they eat together then after work, she will go straight to the hospital to see Irene. Since her work hour is flexible, she will appear anytime when she is free

On the bed, Irene keeps thinking about her dream a while ago. In her dream, she saw herself running around the park with a girl but she can’t see that girl face. It still blurry so she can’t figure it out. They playing happily like they own the entire park. The girl definitely not Wendy since that girl is taller than her while she and Wendy have same height. When they girl almost turn around, Irene wake up from her sleep. She believe that the girl in her dream is someone close to her

Irene back from her own world when she heard the door shut and there is Wendy walk to her with smile

“Hi Rene”

“Hi” Irene beaming shortly

“How are you today?” Wendy sit on the chair beside the bed

“I’m boring here alone” Irene pouting cutely

Wendy chuckle “Sorry sweetie, I’m a bit busy today but I will make it up to you tomorrow”

“Really?”

“Yes, I take a day off so I’m yours tomorrow” Wendy grin

Irene also smiling ear to ear “Can you take me out tomorrow?”

“I don’t think doctor will allow you to go out”

“I mean to the garden or somewhere outside of this room. It has been a while since I breathe fresh air. I’m sick smelling meds here”
