Fourth
Stunning"What the ?" Somi didn't think anyone was talking to her as she walked away from her first class, but seeing the way that Hyunwoo looked back, eyes stern as they looked for their prey and how Changkyun jumped, eyes flinching to her and then behind her, Somi felt inclined to look back.
"That's mine you conniving , where did you find him?" A finger was pointed in her face and Somi looked past it to see a face that she recognised. With a strong hand, Hyunwoo shoved the arm leading to the finger in Somi's face away and she glanced at him, then back to the aggressive male that didn't appreciate being shoved back.
"I found him exactly where you left him" Somi answered easily and blazed eyes stared at her again.
"Hand it over, give me my card" He put his hand out.
" Seongyoon, did you lose your card to the new kid?" Someone snorted as they pushed past Seongyoon. He spun around and raised a fist at the other student.
"Shut your big mouth!" He snarled. Seongyoon stormed back up to Somi. Hyunwoo stood in front of her and pushed Seongyoon back with his hand again. Somi reached back and held onto Changkyun's arm, keeping him behind her as she stepped back, shoulder bumping the wall but she ignored it, looking back at Changkyun, who swallowed nervously.
"He's not yours" Somi answered and Hyunwoo stepped to the side in a small step, revealing Somi's face.
"He's my ing card! I found him and connected with him myself! I went looking for forty whole minutes to find him last night!" Seongyoon boasted and Somi scoffed.
"Forty minutes? Too bad I picked him up as soon as you trampled over him-" Students gasped at the words Somi said in her strong voice. "-he's with me now." Somi shook her head, telling Seongyoon that she wasn't handing Changkyun over.
"That's my card," Seongyoon seethed, "I found him knee deep in the mud and made him what he is, his connection is with me and he follows my command!" Changkyun pulled Somi back as Seongyoon's voice raised. Somi's temper boiled at the actions of Seongyoon that were clearly scaring Changkyun, the one Seongyoon was supposed to care so much for.
"You know how card loyalty works, Somi's blood connection erased yours and now Changkyun's loyalty is hers. Changkyun isn't your butler anymore, he's with us" Hyunwoo cut in before Somi could do something that could possibly scare Changkyun too.
"Excuse me?" Seongyoon scoffed and Somi nodded.
"My blood is in his card and I've summoned him, so Changkyun will be with me from now on" Somi glared and Seongyoon bristled again. Hyunwoo stepped forward, showing the difference in size between Seongyoon and himself. Seongyoon slammed his hands against Hyunwoo's chest in an attempt to push him that didn't have him budging. Somi's eyebrow went up and Seongyoon grabbed at his hair in frustration.
"You know what you have to do if you want your card back" Hyunwoo spoke. His words sparked a flame in Seongyoon again and Somi put an arm up to protect herself when he reacted. Hyunwoo was one step quicker to fist Seongyoon's uniform in his hands and throw him away.
Seongyoon tried to collect himself on his feet as he went back, his hands reached out to grab something to stop his fall, missing the door frame as he crashed through the open doorway and his back slid against the tiled floor of the classroom he was disposed to.
"Let's keep walking Somi" Hyunwoo put his hand behind Somi's back without touching her and Somi nodded, glancing back at the room a sore Seongyoon was in before looking at Changkyun.
"Next class?" She proposed, Changkyun looked at her and away from the classroom, nodding as he swallowed thickly.
"Yeah, next class" He agreed, letting Somi go to put his hands behind his back in the expected manner as he took Somi's side. Hyunwoo stayed behind her, listening for any chance of Seongyoon or anyone else acting out in anger towards Somi.
"What do you think of that butler, Kihyun?" Yuri looked to her butler as they walked in a casual pace, not worried about the time allocated to get to their next class.
"He doesn't look like he will ever have the potential to be much, Miss Yuri" Kihyun's head bowed and Yuri smiled, dusting away specs of imaginary dirt from Kihyun shoulder so that she could smoothly loop her arm through his.
"You think so too?" The skip in her step had them walking quicker and Kihyun nodded, eyes soft when he looked at Yuri.
"Of course" He answered her in a gentle tone.
"We seem to think in a very similar way, Kihyun"
"That brings me joy to know, Miss Yuri"
"Somi, it's this classroom" Hyunwoo called out to a distracted Somi who kept walking past her next class with Changkyun beside her, knowing no different. Somi turned back, eyes blinking in confusion until they landed on Hyunwoo, stopped in a familiar place in the hallway.
"Oh" She breathed out, making her way back to Hyunwoo with Changkyun bowing beside her.
"I'm sorry" He was quick to make his apology and Somi paused, turning to him and pulling him up by his arm.
"Don't be sorry, neither of us realised" Somi let out a heavy breath at the thought of entering another class to have more information drilled into her mind. But she went through with it anyway and claimed three seats for herself and the two with her.
"We're not going over this again" Somi's face dropped to glare at Hyunwoo, who didn't move whilst Changkyun took his seat at Somi's other side with uncertainty. He paused and Somi turned to look at him, eyes still glaring. Changkyun dropped into the seat and folded his hands on the desk, showing Somi that he was co-operating.
"That's right Somi, so I will stand like I'm supposed to" Somi looked up at Hyunwoo again and squinted.
"If this was my dad asking you, would you sit down or be stubborn like you are with me?" Somi asked him, honestly wondering what his answer would be.
"Times were different when I served your father-" Hyunwoo started and Somi pointed at him.
"Yes they were, but would you have done a simple request to get yourselves familiar with each other or would you have obeyed your training and ignored his request?"
"Part of our training is to be able to comply with our cardholders" Changkyun muttered and Somi looked at him, eyes going back to their normal size as they fluttered at the sight of him.
"We are trained to follow the rules of being a butler accordingly, but one of the rules to be a butler is that we do what it takes to bond with each other, another is to strive for the best results we can give our cardholders when they request something" Her eyes trailed back at Hyunwoo, but he remained unmoving with eyes focused in front of him, no longer looking down at her.
"Have it your way then," Somi shrugged her shoulders and turned in her seat to face the front. She opened her books to prepare for the lesson and cleared , taking out her pens. She popped the cap off the blue one and put it to the paper, doodling while she waited for the arrival of the teacher.
"Changkyun?"
"Yes, Somi?"
"Do you have that book on you?" Somi turned her head to face Changkyun and he reached under his sweater, pulling the book from his side to show her.
"I have it with me"
"Would you mind reading to me some more?"
"Sure" Somi leaned towards him as he opened the book and quickly found the page that he had tabbed to read from.
"So it was the chapter about using blood to heal your cards," He started off and Somi nodded her head that was placed upon her hand.
"The ability to use a cardholders blood to heal a card begins with the previously discussed connections made with the card and cardholder. In the same manner, a cardholders blood is placed upon the card in question. The more damaged the card is, the more blood of the cardholder that may be required. It is not yet proven by science how this works, but the blood of a cardholder has the ability to heal any of the cards it is connected to" Somi looked down at the book, the words were depicted by detailed drawings that took up the odd page of significant things, like the difference between a broken and injured card compared to a connect card healed by the blood of their holder. They were in the form of paintings from long before Somi had ever existed, or her great grandparents for that matter and it reminded her of how far back the history of these people went.
"That's what happened," Changkyun pointed to the picture when he noticed Somi's figure moving closer to look at the book.
"Good morning everyone" Somi sat up straight and Changkyun lowered the book, tabbing the page and closing the cover before with his eyes on the teacher that entered the room. His eyes were met and Changkyun quickly lowered them as Somi stared back at the unreadable face of the teacher.
"It's nice to see that everyone
