Exam
Once Was BeforeA pout formed on the teenager's lips as school had ended that day and Min didn't show up as he had like the rest of the week. He guessed he should probably study since he did accept the challenge but he didn't feel like it when Min wasn't around. He sighed and checked his phone, tempted to message Min but didn't want to disturb the other. He just had to wait until exams were over. He tapped his feet on the floor while his chin laid on the table in the empty classroom. A knock on the door made him turn his head and he was almost expecting it to be Min but instead it was the student president.
"Still haven't gone home yet?" the tall male asked and Baekho shrugged while sitting up.
"No. I was waiting for someone," Baekho said or at least he had hoped that someone would have appeared, not Minhyun.
"Who? Most of the students have gone home," Minhyun replied him while leaning against the desk beside Baekho's.
"None of your business," Baekho mumbled, still with a pout on his lips. Minhyun guessed it wasn't really his business.
"How are your studies coming along?" Minhyun decided to ask instead. "Do you need any help?"
Baekho raised his brows and peeked at Minhyun. "You'll help?"
"If you do have something you need help with."
Baekho considered it. If it was Min, he would have just asked without hesitation but this was Minhyun and he didn't know if the other was going to laugh at his stupidity. "Fine. There's something I don't get from class earlier." Baekho took out his book and pointed Minhyun to a section in science. The student president looked over it and started explaining it to Baekho in simpler terms. Baekho listened carefully, his eyes flicking between the book and Minhyun but never settling on the human once. Baekho had never noticed it until now since the other had always been snappy towards him but Minhyun had a rather deep gentle voice when he spoke and it made him feel at peace. "Thanks. I think I get it now."
"You're welcome."
They sat there in silence before Baekho started packing up. "Well, I'm going to leave now. See you tomorrow."
"See you."

Exams were starting, students were panicking and teachers were hoping for the best. In every hallway, there was at least either a crying suffering student or someone doing last minute studies until it looked like they would rather just bury themselves and not think about anything else. Baekho was possibly the second one. He was squatting in a quiet corner, thumb to his lips as he mumbled out words to try to remember what he had studied throughout the weekend. His concentration was broken when he noticed a pair of shoes stopping in front of him and he looked up to find the student president again. He looked down to continue his reading when the tall male squatted down.
"Still reading?" Minhyun asked and Baekho nodded without looking up from the book.
"What are you doing here anyways? Your class is upstairs," Baekho mumbled a respond without thinking.
"I was just making sure all the students were fine but sure doesn't seem that way," Minhyun replied him. "Need help?"
"Mmmm..." Baekho mumbled and tapped on the section he was stuck on. No matter how much he repeated it, he just couldn't seem to remember it. Minhyun pulled the book away from Baekho and the teenager squeaked. "Hey, I need to revise or I'll flunk the paper."
"Won't help if you keep getting stuck on the same word. Just listen to what I say and try to remember it in my voice instead," Minhyun suggested and Baekho was going to refuse but he guessed there was no harm in trying since he really couldn't beat it in his head now. Minhyun started reading it out to Baekho and the other listened closely, trying to replay it for himself to remember. Oddly enough it stuck to his head easier than the past 10 minutes he had been trying.
Even though Baekho would use to struggle trying to get his papers done, somehow or rather he had managed to complete it much quicker than before. His study sessions with Min paid off along with the help he received from the student president earlier. He made a mental note to thank the both of them later since he was pretty sure he would be panicking if he had just been doing it alone.

The streanous and stressful exam week passed by in a flash. It had somewhat became of a habit for Baekho to receive help from Minhyun every morning when the student president did his rounds before exams started. Baekho wouldn't say they got closer but he definitely didn't feel that t
