Once Was BeforeHazel brown eyes stared at the ceiling aimlessly that night. Baekho couldn't get what happened in the afternoon out from his head. After Min had stared him down for a few solid minutes, he had just turned away and left. Baekho was left speechless and confused. Speechless from the action and confused by the loud thumping in his chest. Min's eyes crossed his mind again. Deep dark black that seemed to pull him in causing him to shut his eyes to strengthen the image. Only a small shine seemed to pierce the black of it, making them appear mysterious and dangerous. As if someone was holding a knife against his throat, Baekho found himself short of breath. His stomach contracted and he gasped for air slightly, opening his eyes in surprise from the way his body was reacting just from the thought of Min's eyes. He looked at his arm that had goosebumps crawling all over it and shuddered. The teenager couldn't really understand the feeling but he knew it wasn't the same way he would feel towards regular friends. He barely knew Min yet his eyes alone seemed to be able to give Baekho feelings he had yet to fully comprehend.
He had a difficult time sleeping that night, tossing and turning. His mind wouldn't stop replaying the scene even when he tried to count sheep to help him sleep. In the end, he had fallen asleep due to exhaustion.

Minhyun stood at the front entrance with arms crossed as usual, watching students and teachers walking into the school. Eyes scanning each one of them thoroughly until it fell onto a certain someone who was panting heavily again much like the previous day except this time, he was wearing a necktie that was messily put together in hopes it would stay as one piece.
Baekho glanced back with a worried look, causing the student president to do so as well. He almost walked right into the tall male if he didn't turn around again on time.
"Ack- Sorry," Baekho squeaked while taking a step back.
"Running from something or someone?" Minhyun asked and Baekho glanced up at him before nodding.
"Yeah, I guess you could say that?" Baekho replied before realising he sounded really casual with the other. "N-not that you care!"
Minhyun let out a hum and his hands moved towards Baekho, grabbing his necktie to the other's surprise. "For goodness sake, don't you even know how to tie a necktie?"
"Oh shut up! It's better if I just don't wear it," Baekho grumbled back despite allowing the other to help him fix his tie. He was embarrassed about being unable to do it properly despite fixing it a dozen times while Minhyun made it look so simple. The other always looked smart too with a crease free uniform and not to mention, his shoes were squeaky clean as well.
"There," Minhyun said once he was done and again, gave Baekho a pat on the chest. The shorter male couldn't understand that gesture but tried not to think too much about it either.
"Thanks I guess," Baekho mumbled and started walking away. Minhyun watched him enter the school before turning back to face the outside. Without either teenagers noticing, their cheeks had both turned red.

"Just leave me alone! Argh!" Baekho snapped in an annoyed tone as he sent a punch onto one of his attackers' cheek. After school had ended that day and Baekho was en route to the park, he had been stopped by a different bunch of gangsters who was finding for trouble with him. He had managed to beat them up and had minimal injuries but he was starting to get real fed up by now. He was already in his final year of school and he still couldn't get any rest from these meatheads. "When would you guys learn to leave me the hell alone?! As if me running away this morning already didn't say that much!"
Baekho picked up his school bag and gave it a pat, glaring at the fallen writhing males before he hurried to the park. Min was there waiting at the same bench, reading a book quietly. Baekho fixed his outfit, hoping he didn't look terrible. He groaned when he noticed some blood splatter on his uniform. Probably from one of those males nosebleeding. His groan gained Min's attention as the other looked up from the book. He waved and Baekho didn't hesitate in waving back. He plopped onto the seat beside him and loosened his tie. Baekho noticed Min staring at his tie, fingers fidgetting so he snapped his fingers to distract Min.
"What's wrong?" he asked and Min's gaze went upwards. He shook his head instead of saying something. Min tilted his head and grabbed his hand. Baekho winced since his knuckles were sore from punching. "Ow, owowow!" Min frowned and stood up, pulling Baekho up with him. "Where are we going?"
They headed to the water dispenser at one corner of the park near the public re
