The smell of his cologne impregnated the bedsheets, inhaling deeply you once again tried to imprint it in your memory and save it for the hard times he wouldn’t have been there.

The sun was up, but either of you wanted to leave the comfort of each others body.
His arms were around your waist, he put on some muscles and his cheeks were back for you to admire.

You snuggled into his chest and placed a sweet kiss on his warm body.
You tried to memorize every little detail: the warm sun peeking through the windows, the birds cheeping and his soft breath on you.

You didn’t know how much time you had left and how much time it would have passed until the next time you would have been able to stay like this.
You tried to ignore the melancholy feeling already invading your heart while a yawn escaped his soft lips.

He started gently your back as his eyes opened realizing too, that this was the last morning with you for a while.

“Good Morning beauty” his voice was calm and gentle as his touches on you, moving your hair from your face to admire you again.

The opposite of his frenetic heart, already jumping in his chest nervous for having to leave so soon.

“Go back to sleep, it’s not morning” you said covering his eyes.

“I’m pretty sure it is darling”

You got up, covering you both with the covers while resting on his hard chest, you didn’t want it to end or at least not yet.

You grew too used to him: his almost pathological habits of cleaning, his smile that welcomed you every time you got back from work, his voice when he was singing in the shower and even his crazy brothers.

You missed it all and you were not able to let him go just yet.

“You know I have to go soon” he breathed caressing your cheek with his thumb, moving the covers.

It was hard for him too, leaving you alone for so long and having to face everything without your support, without you telling him he was doing a good job.

You both knew it was going to be like this when you met, but he reassured you all the time saying that it wasn’t that big of a deal since he would have come back every once in a while.

You remember him saying “It’s like I’m going on a tour again, just this time it’s for a little more”.

You cried quietly in your room when he left, making sure not to be seen.
You didn’t want him to have a hard time by himself, you wanted to support him and make him feel less alone.

The silence in the room was heavy, your heart crying once again as soon as he kissed you.

You would have missed his soft lips, the way they kissed yours like no one else ever had.
His eyes and how you saw yourself in them.
His warm hands that have always be nothing but gentle with you.
His voice telling you how much he loved you.

“I’ll be back soon darling, you won’t have time to miss me that I would be already at the door.”

“I don’t want you to go… “ you confessed for the first time, hugging him tightly.
“I know, I don’t want either but I’ll always be with you, ok? If you need me, I’ll be here in no time… we are strong, we will go through way harder times”

A salty tear escaped your eye but he was quick to catch it, running his hand through your hair while pulling you even closer.

“I know it seems like the end of the world, but look at us… we love each other and that’s enough for everything to work”
You snuggled into the crook of his neck, enjoying the last cuddles together for a while.

You knew he was right but the thought of him being alone was making you feel extremely sad.

He kissed your temples moving you to the side and rolling on top whispering how much he loved you and how much he believed in you.

“I just don’t want you to suffer Minseok…”

“It’s ok because even if it’s hard I know you’re always here to protect me”

His sharp eyes were staring at you, sweet and soft as the words that left his lips.
You kissed him once again before unfortunately breaking your hug.

He still had some time left after packing his small suitcase and taking a shower, so he sat on the sofa while you were looking for something in your room.

The clock ticking continuously scanning the time that was left, he made sure to ask the guys to keep an eye on you while he was gone. To visit you once in a while to see if there was anything they could help you with, to make sure you were not feeling too bad or too lonely.

Emerging from your shared bedroom, you sit next to him with something in your hand.

“Here, to remind you of me” you sad.
Taking his hands in yours, you tied the long ribbon on his left wrist, making sure it was secured there.

“You said you liked my hair when we first met… this is the one I was wearing that day” you suddenly got shy as a trace of redness adorned your cheeks.

His lips were on yours instantly sending a shiver to your spine.

Cupping your face with his hands he admired you once again in all your effortless beauty, realizing again how lucky he was to have met someone like you.

Someone that cared of him, that loved all his qualities and didn’t care of his flows.
Someone who pushed him to do his best and helped him figure out his mistakes.
Someone he wanted to build a family with.

Kissing his wrist he looked at you, amazed by the beauty of your pure soul.

“I’m sure I won’t feel alone with this. Thank you, my love”
