“Darling.” Hanbyul perked her head up, only to see that it was her mom. She sighed, smiling at older female, “Mom. Why didn’t you knock?”

Mrs Shin shook her head as she closed the door behind her back, “I did, Hanbyul. I’ve been standing outside for a minute, you know.” She was worried about her daughter, something has been bugging her too much since the day she started working.

Blinking at the news, Hanbyul sheepishly grinned—scratching her head, “Hehe. Sorry. I was translating a file.” She thought twice at her words. The only thing she did was staring at the files in front of her. She hasn’t been doing much in the last hour, just then that she realized it.

Her mom pursed her lips, walking towards her desk, “Are you under too much pressure? You know you’ve been doing fine, right, Hanbyul? There’s no need to be so stressed out, okay?” She caressed her face, her eyes showering her with love.

Chuckling, Hanbyul nodded, holding her mom’s hand, “I’m fine, mom. There’s nothing to be worried about, alright?”

Sighing, Mrs Shin retreated her hand, eyeing the interior design of the office, “Today is the date, isn’t it?” She didn’t want to sound so demanding, so her voice came out softer than she wished.

Hanbyul snapped her head at the calendar, agape when she realized what was she so focused on about.

It was the date.

“Oh yea, right. Its today.” She said under her breath, not wanting to sound off in front of her mom. She didn’t want to admit it but the anxiety about going out on a date was highkey making her wracked. She was not anticipating it at all. A date with a playboy? She would’ve passed the chance if she could.

Her mom smiled, eyeing the somewhat tired daughter, “Just don’t forget it, okay? I know how much of a workaholic you are, but keep it healthy.” She sighed, “You look worn out now, darling.”

Faking a smile, Hanbyul tried to shrug her mom’s words off, “I’ve only been busy, mom. Don’t worry. I wont forget the date, alright?” She tried to lighten up the atmosphere by giving her mom the look, receiving a chuckle from the latter.

Nodding, Mrs Shin made her way to the door, “If you say, so, Hanbyul. I’ll take my leave.”

Hanbyul just watched as the door closed, feeling blank yet again. Meeting Jaemin has gotta be one of the most draining event that has ever happened in her life.

Just then, her phone vibrated, causing her to jump a little.

Sighing, Hanbyul took her phone.

[Sora]

“You might want to look at this.”

Several pictures of Jaemin and his friends together with a few more girls in their arms at the club were displayed in the message. Amusingly, the images did cause a stir in her heart.

What the hell was happening?

She clicked onto a picture that was calling out to her the most—Jaemin in a jet black suit, holding a girl in a red tube dress close to him with his face buried in her hair.

Must be nice to be that attractive, huh?

Hanbyul cursed herself as she closed her eyes.

Why would it matter to her?

She locked her phone as she forced herself to focus onto her work for the day. Feeling raged, she checked her schedule to summarize her workload for the day.

*Meeting with Gangsu Organisation : 3pm

Nodding, she went back to work with a spirit she forgot she ever had.

----------

At a 5 star restaurant somewhere in the middle of the busy city of Gangnam, Jaemin was waiting patiently in his seat for the arrival of someone. Someone he discreetly caught a liking on. It has been a while since he started glancing at his watch-- which was something rare because he had never really waited for anyone before.

Glancing up, Jaemin's smirk couldn't be hidden as his brown hazy eyes caught the hourglass figure of his fiancée-- Hanbyul. With little effort, he pulled the girl that was in his arm closer to him, earning a giggle from the rather thin female who he didnt even know of. For all he knew, the girl was blessed to have him holding her.

He waited for the right moment to hold eye contact with Hanbyul, knowing it well how she would never be able to deal with his attitude. He was a highly respected chairman of a well known company, and yet he mingles too much with girls- random ones at that. He knew Hanbyul w
