Jessica woke up in shock when she heard the loud sound of the sudden rough knocking against the door. She pushed aside the blanket and rubbed her eyes a couple of times before she got up from the couch and headed to the entrance door.

The knocking sound stopped right after Jessica starts turned the doorknob. She pulled the door open and got surprised when Taeyeon came into her sight, leaning helplessly against the door before she dropped down on the floor.

Jessica did not know that Taeyeon went out that night and she thought the latter was in her bedroom as always. Taeyeon was the last person she could think of to go out at night or even during her free time. It had not been long but Jessica knew well that Taeyeon would rather stay at home than having fun outside.

"Taeyeon!" Jessica kneeled down on her knees and caught Taeyeon in her arms with a panicked expression.

Taeyeon was completely wetted by the rain and her face was completely pale. Her body trembled from the coldness. Worried, Jessica gently patted Taeyeon on the cheek but the latter gave no reaction.

"Taeyeon! Taeyeon! Please! Taeyeon!" Jessica did not give up and kept on trying to wake Taeyeon even though it was clearly pointless.

Jessica took Taeyeon to the master bedroom, where the latter was supposed to be at in this hour. Despite her weak body, Jessica successfully gave Taeyeon a piggyback ride. She carefully climbed every rung of the stairs. After the struggles, they eventually arrived at the master bedroom upstairs. Jessica gently laid Taeyeon down on the bed.

Jessica then ran to the master bathroom and grabbed a damp cloth with a bowl of warm water before she went back to Taeyeon and got on the bed, kneeling beside her wife on the bed.

Jessica carefully wiped Taeyeon's pale face with the damp cloth down to her neck. When her hand reached her chest, she stopped for a moment as she thought if she should take her clothes but at the same time, she was afraid that Taeyeon would get angry at her or even worse, misunderstood her.

Taeyeon uttered out a soft but painful moan. Jessica knew Taeyeon was not comfortable with her current state and what she was going to do despite being unconscious.

After a careful thought, Jessica decided to get rid of Taeyeon's clothes. She was determined and she was ready to take the blame. She did not care because she would rather kill herself than to see Taeyeon suffer. After all, they were married and she needed to prove to Taeyeon that she can become her wife until the last of her breath.

Jessica wanted to prove that Taeyeon did not make the wrong decision to marry her even though it was a forced marriage.

For Jessica, Taeyeon was just a moon. She might be seemingly impossible to reach but it did not mean that it was completely impossible. That was why Jessica did not stop trying no matter what.

Jessica will keep trying until the time when she really needed to stop but she hoped that time will never come.

Because she wanted to be with Taeyeon no matter how hard it was.

With trembling hands, Jessica ed each button of Taeyeon's blouse. It took a while until she got a touch of the last button. She then lifted Taeyeon up slightly in other to bare her top completely before she proceeded with her bottom.

Her heart was beating fast and loud when her eyes landed onto Taeyeon, her bare and fully body that she had never seen or even thought of seeing before.

Jessica knew that anyone who saw see her current expression label her as a ert. In reality, it was sad because it was her first time to be able to touch Taeyeon's bare skin and seeing her when in fact, she should had seen it all since the beginning of their married life. Not that she was complaining as she knew it was far too complicated for people to understand.

Jessica shook her head when she realized that she had already been staring at Taeyeon for too long. She pulled the blanket up to Taeyeon's chest and then grasped her hand before she placed a deep, gentle kiss on her forehead which lasted for a few seconds.

When Jessica was about to turn around in her forced attempt to leave the bed, Taeyeon suddenly slid her hand around Jessica's hand as if preventing her from leaving.

Jessica had her eyes wide opened in a great surprise and she slowly lowered her gaze to see if it was really there and was holding her hand.

It was hard to believe but it was really. The hand of the person she deeply loved was indeed there. Taeyeon's hand was there. Taeyeon's hand was holding hers. Tightly.

It was magical but Jessica could not help but thought of whether Taeyeon realized what she was doing or whether she was doing it on purpose.

"Tae..." Jessica turned her head to find the answer.

Taeyeon still had her eyes closed. And her face clearly showed that she did not do it intentionally. It was all out of her consciousness and probably because she lost the extra warmth from Jessica.

Nevertheless, Jessica felt thankful that Taeyeon needed her to warm herself even though she did not realize that she was asking for that.

Jessica carefully and slowly laid herself down next to Taeyeon. She held the latter’s hand over her stomach as she turned her head to face Taeyeon.

Taeyeon whimpered softly as she leaned her forehead on Jessica's shoulder.

Jessica could not help but to shed tears. It felt so right to have the moment together for the first time with Taeyeon, the one and only person that she missed and loved more than anything else.

But to think that Taeyeon did all of this unknowingly. It hurt.

It felt like she was the most stupid and desperate person in the world.

But then again, Jessica did not care because she loved Taeyeon so much and yes, she admitted that she was desperate for her.

"I'm sorry." Jessica whispered as she brought her other hand to the side of Taeyeon's head and leaned in for a soft kiss on her forehead.

The kiss that carried so much love.

That night, Jessica showered her one and only other half with a gentle caress far gentler than any silk, peppered soft kisses all over her petite body that she had craved for a long time. It was painful to think that she had been doing everything alone all those times. She wanted more. And she wanted it with Taeyeon.

Everything she did with Taeyeon was one-sided.

But who cared?

Jessica loved Taeyeon.

Jessica wanted Taeyeon.

Jessica craved for Taeyeon.

Jessica felt happy even with a slight touch from Taeyeon.

That was how much she needed Taeyeon in order for her to believe that she was still alive and that the day where Taeyeon falls in her arms will come. And she swore she would never stop praying and hoping for that to happen.

Whether this was a dream or reality, they finally got to sleep together for the first time.

It was still one-sided.

But it was enough.

The sun rose and its light was shining through the wide opened windows. Taeyeon was struggling to open her eyes. She looked confused for a moment before she let out a relieved sigh upon seeing the familiar surroundings.

As Taeyeon gained full consciousness, she turned to lay on her side and was terrified when she saw that Jessica was sleeping next to her.

And Jessica was .

Taeyeon looked down at her own body under the blanket and her jaws dropped at the sight of her body with Jessica having her arms wrapped tightly around her waist.

"!" Taeyeon cussed as she accidentally fell off the bed. She groaned in pain as she rubbed her bottom. She quickly tugged the blanket to cover her body upon realizing that her body was exposed.

Jessica woke up startle from her sleep when she heard Taeyeon's voice. She grabbed the sheets in a rush and covered the front part of her body with it.

"Oh my God! Tae! Are you okay?" Jessica got off the bed quickly and kneeled beside Taeyeon on the floor. She held her arm with her right hand while her left hand was clutching on the blanket so that it would not fall off her figure. She looked at Taeyeon with her eyes filled with concern.

"It hurts…" Taeyeon whined with eyes closed and a frown on her face. "Don't touch me!" She opened her eyes and yelled when she realized that Jessica was holding her arm. She brushed off Jessica's hand angrily.

"I'm sorry, I just want to help-"

"No! I don't need help from someone who is trying to take advantage of me!" Taeyeon glared at Jessica and got up. She made her way to the master bathroom with a burning heart. She thought Jessica was trying to take every opportunity in every difficulty she went through. And she hated the thought of that.

"Tae! I can explain-"

Taeyeon slammed the door with a loud bang.

Jessica felt like her heart stopped beating for a second at the response and her tears flowed down her cheeks.

"Gosh! What have I done?" Jessica dropped on the bed with a remorse for everything that she had done that night. Although it was not wrong, she should have known that it would just worsen her relationship with Taeyeon.

And it was already too late.

Taeyeon probably hated her even more.

Taeyeon rushed downstairs holding her car key and school bag hanging on her shoulder. When she arrived at the living room, she noticed that Jessica was preparing something at the dining table and she stopped, freezing on the spot. She unknowingly observed every movement that Jessica did and then quickly looked away when Jessica caught her presence.

"Tae?" Jessica quickly took off her apron and approached Taeyeon with a guilty look.

Taeyeon ignored Jessica and continued to walk her way to the entrance door.

"Tae! Wait!" Jessica grabbed Taeyeon's wrist.

"Let go of me!" Taeyeon turned around and threw Jessica's hand roughly. "Did not I tell you not to touch me?! Why are you so stubborn?! Huh? Why?"

"Tae… Please, let me explain first! Please, Tae! I beg you!" Jessica tried to hold her hand but Taeyeon kept on dodging.

"Stop it! How many more times do I have to tell you to stop acting like a fool?! Huh?! Are you trying to disobey me now?!" Taeyeon raised her voice louder. Her eyes looked like they were going to blow fire anytime soon. Her heart beat abnormally faster due to the anger, frustration, and all the bad feelings that had consumed her sanity. And it was even more frustrating that she would never have an explanation for all of that.

"Tae..." Jessica held back her tears. She did not want to let it flow, even if it hurt. She did not want to have any more misunderstandings between them. She did not want Taeyeon to think that she was trying to gain sympathy by crying, which was something about her that once made Taeyeon's heart ache without her knowing it.

"Just so you know, I hate people who try to take advantage of the hardship I go through. I don’t ing care whether I'm sick or even dying on the street, I don't need any help. I don’t need your help. And guess what? In all honesty, I did try to think that you're not one of those people. But what happened last night which I myself don't ing know what you did to me, I think I have to think about it all over again. You're... the worst, Jessica Jung." Taeyeon had her voice filled with hesitance at the end of her words. She turned away when she could feel that her tears were coming out.

Seconds passed by but Taeyeon was still in the same place. It seemed as if she was waiting for Jessica to speak. Or was it because she suddenly heard Jessica's sobs?

"I never thought of doing something like that to you, Tae." Jessica eventually her tears out as she begun to speak.

Taeyeon's fingers were forming tight fists. Her eyes had gotten blurry because of the tears, which she vowed to never let it fall for useless things or for such a worthless person. But the more she listened to the other woman, it was getting harder on her side.

Why did it hurt? It was already the second time. And it hurt even more than the first time she saw her cry.

"I… I just want you to see me as your wife, who you care about and want in every moment. It does not even matter if you needed me or not. I just wish you would still care enough to try to love me, care for me, miss me and accept everything about me. I just want you to feel like that, Tae. Even for just one day. I want it, Tae." Jessica dropped her gaze and shut her eyes tightly as her cry got louder.

"Stop it..." Taeyeon begged quietly under her breath. As Jessica continued with her words, the tears just started flowing freely. But she still tried to keep it to herself. She did not wish to let Jessica know or the world know that she was crying.

"I can't. I'm sorry but I will never stop, Tae. I love you so much that I don't want to stop even if I need to."

"Stop it! I said, stop it!" Taeyeon yelled as she turned to face Jessica. She was not able to breathe steadily anymore. It hurt so much. Her heart was hurting so much.

"Tae..." Jessica was not able to believe her eyes when she lifted her gaze and witnessed Taeyeon's tears for the first time.

"Please... I beg you. Just stop it. I can't take it anymore... Just stop it." Taeyeon begged, sobbing.

Through blurry and painful eyes, they looked deeply at each other.

Jessica tried to find something through those beautiful pair of eyes, the window of Taeyeon's heart.

Taeyeon, hopefully, tried to prevent Jessica from finding something that she had been trying to hide behind her eyes after all these years. But her effort ends in vain.

Jessica definitely saw something behind those eyes that took her back.

Taeyeon was in pain.
