The beginning of the end
Even If It Hurts“She looks so gorgeous Mina. She looks like a goddess.” Jihyo said while smiling like a fool.
“Yeah, she is. I guess that’s why there are so many boys and girls who is always around her.” Mina replied uninterested. Jihyo has been rambling about this girl for at least a month now, but she still sounds like it’s the first time she saw the girl.
“Yeah. So many… and I can’t compete with them. I am ugly.” Jihyo pouted.
“Hey, stop that.” Mina means her pouting because Jihyo looks so cute doing that she might do something stupid. “You´re not ugly, ok? Don’t ever think about that. It´s her lost not noticing someone as beautiful as you.”
“Thank you, Mina. You´re really my best friend.” Jihyo hugged Mina.
The words best friend hurt Mina a little but of course, she won’t tell Jihyo that. They were best friends since high school. Jihyo protected Mina from her bullies because she still couldn’t speak Korean back then. Her family just moved to Korea from Japan after her father was assigned by her grandfather to take care of the Korea branch of their company.
Jihyo and Mina always do everything together, whether it is school stuff or hobbies like playing games. Mina doesn’t look like it, but she is a total game geek. Because of her, Jihyo also started playing games, but of course Jihyo still couldn’t beat Mina, ´for real´, because there are some times where Mina lets Jihyo win because she is on the verge of crying or stopping to play with Mina, and she doesn’t want that.
