lights glaring, the aroma of alcohol surrounds me. Adding to that is the number of people, dancing with me, which causes the temperature to rise, making me feel hot, inside and out. You would be surprised if I told you that I was never like this. A few years ago, I would’ve chose to stay at home, cuddling with her, or study with her. I never really like crowded places. I never really liked the sound of loud music blasting into my ears. But just like the days and years, my habits started to change. However, I never liked this. I never wanted to get used to this, but this was the only way I could cope up with the pains and struggles I go through each and every day.

a few years ago, I went to the usual coffee shop that I go to. I would always order the known bitter drink, to keep myself awake as I do the mountains of school works I have to finish and pass for the week. That day felt new. The coffee shop began to feel crowded as more and more people began to come in and order their respective drinks. They all looked like workers who just finished their meeting. With that being said, they began to occupy the spaces and began to chat about their work and the likes. I do my usual routine which is to listen to lo-fi music, and began my work. I didn’t realize it then, but a girl, a few inches smaller than me, was hesitating to talk to me. I felt her shadow, so, I looked up, removed my earphones, and asked her if she needed any help. She showed her smile, which made everything look bright and blooming. Heck I think her smile made my bitter Americano taste sweet. Weird, I know. ”u-uhm. Is it okay if I seat on the same table as you. there are no tables available, but I really wanted to stay in this shop.. you don’t have to force yourself though!
