For Wes, right now, life is good, 

The girl he love is now his girlfriend, and his father is finally back. "I must have done something right to deserve this life..." he said with a smile. Sylvia looked up at him with confusion in his face. "Why are you talking to yourself?" she asked. Wes looked at her, and smiled. He pulled her closer to her. "I'm just so happy today. I can't believe dad is back. Plus, he got to meet my girlfriend, and approve of her. I wish this happiness will last..." he said. 

Sylvia smiled at him. She wishes the same for Wes. After all the things he had been through, he deserves all the happiness. "But what made me happiest today, is me sitting on this bench right next to the girl that I love." he told her. Sylvia let out a laugh as she pinched his nose. "You're getting as cheesy as Chun ge, do you know that?" she said. "Don't you love this romantic side of me? You used to say, I have no romance in my body, and now, I'm being cheesy..." Wes said with a pout. 

"Well, I like seeing this romantic side of you. I never thought my Zheng would be so sweet towards his girlfriend. I'm a lucky girlfriend." Sylvia said. Wes pinched her nose as well. "I love you so much, my Fei Fei..." he told her. "I love you too, my Zheng." she answered. 

His face inched towards her. And as he was about to kiss her, they were interrupted by Wes' father. "Zheng, do you have an extra charger? I think I lost mine at the airport." Qin Yang said. He knew he interrupted something between his son and his girlfriend. "Ooops... I'm sorry..." he apologized. 

Wes looked at his father. Qin Yang could see Sylvia blushing as well. "I have an extra charger by the drawer near the kitchen." Wes told him. Qin Yang smiled, and nodded his head. "All right, I'll look for it. Sorry for interrupting you.  Go on with what you two are doing." Qin Yang told them before heading inside the house. 

Wes turned his attention to Sylvia once again. "So, where were we again?" he asked. Sylvia smiled as she pointed her lips. He leaned down to give her another kiss, when he heard his father call him again. "Zheng, sorry to interrupt. But do we have an extension cord lying around?" Qin Yang told him. Wes could feel a vein popping from his forehead because of that interruption. He looked at his father, and let out a smile. "There is at the cabinet near the counter." Wes instructed him. Qin Yang nodded his head. "Thanks. Sorry for interrupting you again. Go on, and kiss." Qin Yang told him. 

Wes turned to Sylvia again, giving her an apologetic look. "No more interruptions?" she asked. "I swear to God, no more interruptions." Wes told her. He lifted her chin, and inched his face to her. As he was about to kiss her lips, his father called again. 

"Wes, what's the wi-fi password?" Qin Yang asked, interrupting the two again. Wes let out a sigh, then turned to his father. "Zheng0726 dad..." he told him. Qin Yang nodded his head. "All right. Thanks again. Go and kiss her." Qin Yang said before leaving the two. 

Sylvia couldn't help but laigh at how angry Wes looks. "Hey, don't be mad at your dad..." she said as she held his face and turn to face her. "No more interruptions, I swear." Wes said. Sylvia nodded her head. As Wes was about to kiss her, this time, they heard Pauline calling Sylvia. 

"Sylvia Wen Yu Fei! Get inside now, it's getting late!" they heard Pauline calling her. The two of them paused, and Sylvia let out a sigh. "Mommy darling is calling me. I have to go. Good night!" Sylvia said as she stood up. As Sylvia ran inside the house, Wes could only look helpless. "But... but... you forgot my good night kiss!" he said as he pouted. 

A few seconds later, Sylvia rushed out, and gave Wes a quick kiss on the lips. "Sweet dreams, my love!" she told him. Wes let out a smile as he watched her run back to her house. He will sure have a sweet dream of her tonight.

"I'm still curious why your dad suddenly came home..."

Wayne told Wes as they were at the cafeteria to buy something to eat. "Didn't you mention before, your dad loves working there? Plus, he gets to do volunteer work around the world. Why would he suddenly come home." Wayne asked. Wes shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know, and honestly, it doesn't matter. I'm just happy that my dad's home. And, I got to introduce Fei Fei to him as my girlfriend." Wes told him. "So, what did Uncle Luo said about you and Fei Fei?" Wayne asked. Wes let out a smile as he gave him a thumbs up. 

Wayne gave him a high five. Seeing Wes happy made him happy as well, especially afterall that he;s been through the past few months. "Then, Uncle Luo wouldn't mind if you and Fei Fei get married soon?" Wayne ., Wes gave him a stern look. "Hey. my girlfriend wasn't the one who caught the bouquet." he told him. Wayne could only sigh. 

"In a few months, we'll be graduating. I will miss this kind of life..." Wayne said as he sighed. Wes looked at his friend, and saw the seriousness in his face again. The last time he saw him that way, it was when he was telling him why he does not want to confess his feelings to Diana. "Are you scared?" Wes asked. "Who wouldn't? Once we graduate from high school, we're going to face the big world out there. We'll have to deal with a new school, new faces... I don't even know if the four of us would still be able to go to the same university..." 

Wes smiled at him as he put his arm around his shoulder. "We're going to be fine." he told him. Wayne let out a sigh. "The past 10 years, I'm so used to having you guys around. If I'm not with you, then I don't know what will happen to me..." Wayne said. "Hey, being in different school doesn't mean friendship has to end, right? We're not just best friends, we're friends for life. And no matter where life will take us, as long as we know we support each other, that's enough to face the challenges together." he told Wayne. 

Wayne looked at him, and smiled. He knew despite the fact that they might have to go separate ways after high school, Wes will always be his best buddy. "Hey, have you made a decision yet on which university you will be going to?" Wayne asked, changing the topic. Wes nodded his head. "Taipei Medical University. That's where my dad graduated, so might as well study there. I need to work hard on my grades so that I can get into that school." he said. Wayne nodded his head. 

"Seems like you're pushing through with your big plan, huh? Tell me, it's more than going to med  school, am I right?" Wayne asked. Wes smiled and nodded his head. "I'm going to work hard for mine and Fei Fei's future. I want to give her the best things in life. I want to make her the happiest girl in the world." he said. Wayne smiled at him. "Fei Fei is your big plan, huh?" he said. Wes nodded his head. "Seems like you've planned out your life with her. Do you think that's too early?" 

Wes looked at him, and smiled. "I see a future with Fei Fei. Planning this early won't hurt, right?" he said. "But, what if something happened to you need to have a total change of plan? What if in the end, you won't end up with Fei Fei?" Wayne asked. Wes let out a sigh. "Why are you so pessimistic?" he said. 

Wayne  just let out a pout. He looked at Wes as he let out a smile. "I know, I will end up with Fei Fei. Because when I love someone, it will be for the rest of my life. And she's the only girl I love, and the only one I see myself growing old with. I know, it's too early to say this, but I'm really sure about this. How about you, don't you feel that way for Diana?" Wes asked. 

"Of course, I do.  But unlike you,  I have a different mindset. I think it's too soon to plan for the future, right? We're still young, and we should enjoy our youth. Let's see what's going to happen next." Wayne told him.

Qin Yang reported to the hospital that day. As soon as he reported to his new boss, he went to find the person he needed to talk to - Dr. Guo. Qin Yang was able to find him at one the nurses' station of the hospital. 

"Dr. Luo?" A younger guy called him. He recognized him as Dr. Anthony Guo - the young doctor he had been talking to for the past few months. "You must be Dr. Guo." He said with a smile as he extended his hand. The younger doctor smiled as he shook his hand. "Finally, I was able to meet you. Mrs. Wang has been talking about how good of a doctor you are." he said. Qin Yang just nodded his head. "Can you discuss to me the patient's current condition?" he asked him. 

Dr. Guo showed him patient's record, and explained her current condition. Basing on what he has read on Jane's records, there is still a chance for her to survive, as long as she is given the proper treatment. "We need her to take another blood test. Also, we need to up the dosage on her medication." Qin Yang told the younger doctor. "And the surgery?" Dr. Guo asked. "We'll schedule it as long as her condition is stable. Have found a suitable donor for her yet?" Qin Yang asked. 

Dr. Guo let out a sigh as he shook his head. "We tried everything we can to find a bone marrow donor, but there's no match. Her daughter would have been a good match, but she's still too young." Dr. Guo told him. "How young?" Qin Yang pressed. "Seven years old." Dr. Guo said. Qin Yang sighed as he shook his head. "That won't do..." he said. 

"Anyway, would you like to see Mrs. Wang? She had been expecting you." Dr. Guo told him. He looked at him for a long time. It's been years since he last saw her, and although he had forgiven her, he's not sure how he would react when she sees him. But he knew he had to see her. After all, he came back to Taiwan, and accepted this temporary position at the hospital just to save his ex-wife's life. "I guess, it's inevitable. Take me to her." Qin Yang said. Dr. Guo smiled, and led him to Jane's room. 

Dr. Guo knocked on the door, and then slowly opened it. "Mrs. Wang, good morning." Dr. Guo greeted first. "Good morning, doctor..." Qin Yang heard Jane's weak voice. "I brought someone to see you." Dr. Guo told her. He opened the door wide, and made way for Jane to see Qin Yang enter the room.

The moment Jane saw her ex-husband, tears welled up from her eyes. "Q-qin Yang... you're here..." she said. Qin Yang smiled at her. Although she looked weak, she was still that beauty that he remembered. And it broke his hear to see her helplessly lying on the hospital bed. "It's nice to see you again, Mrs. Wang." Qin Yang told her formally. Jane smiled weakly at him. "It... it's nice to see you again, Qin Yang..." she told him. 

"Mrs. Wang, I have already explained your condition with Dr. Luo. Although he will take over being your doctor, I will work with him  to make sure that you will live." Dr. Guo said optimistically. Jane simply nodded his head. Then, the younger doctor turned to Qin Yang. "I'll leave you for a while, so that you and Mrs. Wang could talk." he told him. Qin Yang nodded his head. "Thank you, Dr. Guo." he told him. 

As soon as Dr. Guo left, Qin Yang approached Jane's bed, and sat beside her. "How are you feeling?" he asked her worriedly. This time, Jane couldn't help but cry in front of him. "Scared... I'm so scared, Qin Yang. I'm scared to die..." she cried to him. "I won't let you die. Your daughter still needs you, and Zheng... Zheng needs you too." he told her. 

Hearing her son's name, Jane let out a smile. "Zheng... it's been a long time since I last saw him. How has he been? He must have grown a lot now, right? My daughter... my daughter once tried to see him. She... she said how nice her big brother is...." Jane said weakly. Qin Yang nodded his head. "He grew up to be a kindhearted man. And he looks exactly like you." Qin Yang said. This made Jane cry even more. She longed to see her son, but she doesn't know how to face him after she abandoned him and his father. 

"Is he... Is he mad at me for what I have done?" she asked. Qin Yang sighed as he lowered his head. "We never get to talk about you. I guess we never had a chance..." Qin Yang said. Jane looked at him sadly. "Then, I guess he has resentment towards me..." she said sadly. Qin Yang held her hand tight, and let out a smile. "Don't worry, I will make Zheng understand. I know, it will take time, but I will talk to him about you. And you will get to see our son again." he assured her. Jane just smiled at him. She's thankful that Qin Yang is still there, despite what she have done before. And she's more thankful that Qin Yang has forgiven her.

"No! Let me go! I don't want to!"

Diana wailed as Wayne hugged her tight and dragged her inside the room. All the students looked at them, as if Wayne was going to do something bad to her. "You have to do this, please?" Wayne pleaded, hugging her tighter. "Anything but that, please! I don't want to!" Diana cried again. Wayne dragged her, and as Wes and Sylvia saw them, they just sweat dropped. "That time of the year when Wayne had to force Diana into this..." Wes said as he shook his head. "I pity Xiao Jin..." Sylvia said, shaking her head. 

Wayne made Diana sit in front of the nurse. As soon as Diana is settled, Wayne hugged her tight so she won't let go. "Please, Xiao Jin... please cinnamon roll... please not this..." Diana said as she looked at him with puppy eyes. "Honey toast, It won't hurt. It's like an ant just bit you. You don't need to be scared of a needle." Wayne assured her. Diana just cried loudly. Wayne chose to ignore her, and looked at the nurse. "She's ready for her blood test. You can inject her now." Wayne told the nurse. 

It was the annual check up at Dong Han, and they are required to do a blood test. Unfortunately for Diana, that means that she have to be injected, and she's scared of injections the most. "Nooooooo!" Diana cried as soon as the nurse injected her to take some blood sample. As she was being injected, she punched Wayne's arms, pinched his cheeks so hard, bit his shoulder, and pulled his hair. He's hurt, yes, but it was worth it. "It's done now." the nurse said. By the time she was done, Diana was done crying, but Wayne is in pain. "It doesn't hurt, does it?" the nurse asked Diana. Diana pouted as she slowly nodded her head. "But my body hurt a lot..." Wayne muttered. 

They stood up and walked past Wes, Sylvia, Sunnee and Dylan. "P'Wayne..." Sunnee said, pitying her classmate. Wayne looked like he was beaten to death, or someone who got into war and lost. "Wayne, are you all right? Do you want me to call an ambulance?" Dylan asked worriedly. "Do you want to take the rest of the day off?" Wes asked worriedly as well. Wayne smiled faintly at them, and gave them a thumbs up. "I need to rest. I'll go back to the classroom now." he told him. Sylvia could only sigh as they watched them leave. 

"We do this every year, and Wayne had to endure the beatings while forcing Diana to get injected." Sylvia commented. Then, they heard hers and Wes' name being called. Wes looked at her. "Let's go?" he asked. Sylvia nodded her head. They sat in front of the nurses, and then took out their hands for the blood test. Wes is not scared of the injection, or the blood. He's used to it, especially since he always observe his father doing it when he was younger. 

"Ah, one of the brave young men of Dong Han. Are you sure you will not faint when you see blood, or when I inject you?" the nurse asked him. "A future doctor needs to get used to it, right? One day, I know I'll be the one who'll be doing this to my future patients." he told the nurse. The nurse just smiled at him. He looked at Sylvia, and saw her face become pale. He knew Sylvia felt scared, seeing the pointed needle. He reached for her free hand, and held it. "It won't hurt, trust me." Wes told her. Sylvia looked at him, and smiled. Then, she nodded her head. She felt the nurse inserted the needle on her skin, She didn't feel hurt at all, maybe it's because Wes was holding her hand. 

She looked at him, and let out a smile. "I feel so safe around him... like nothing would hurt me as long as he holds my hand..." she thought. "You two are done." they heard the nurse said. "Thank you, nurse." Wes said as they both stood up. As they walked, Wes looked worriedly at Sylvia. "Does it hurt?" he asked. "Sylvia smiled, and shook her head. "It didn't. Maybe because you were beside me and holding my hand." Sylvia said. Wes smiled at her, and put his hand around her. 

"Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh no please! Not that!" they heard someone shouting. Both of them looked back, and saw Sam being chased by one of the nurses. "Sam Lin! We need to do a blood test, now go back so we can get blood sample." the nurse scolded him. "I did not sign up for this!" Sam shouted as he ran outside. The nurse chased him. The two of them laughed at what they saw. 

It was Sunnee and Dylan's turn to get their blood sample. Dylan turned to Sunnee as they sat in front of the nurse. "My little sun, if it hurts, just hold on to me, all right?" Dylan told her. Sunnee nodded her head. After a while, the nurse injected them to take their blood sample. As they were doing that, Sunnee felt something. fell on her shoulder. As she looked beside her, she saw Dylan lying unconscious on her. "Oh my, Dylan fainted!" the nurse said, trying to supress her laugh. Upon realizing that her boyfriend fainted at the sight of his blood, Sunnee couldn't help but burst into laughter.
