“Are you interested in dating?”, she asked. She didn't give him a chance to answer before continuing. “One of my friends is interested in you. She's pretty, smart and thoughtful. I think you would match well.”

Seungyoon felt his heart constricting in his chest, painfully, as if her words had electrocuted him. He had always mentally prepared himself for rejection if she were ever to discover the attraction he harbored for her. He had always tell himself that he could stomach that. A cold 'I don't like you'. But this? No, he couldn't do it.
