BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

"Jesus! What the hell are you doing in here", Myungsoo cries as he bursts into the small practice room. The shock leaves the handsome boy's face and morphs into irritation when he sees the source of the jarring sounds. Sitting in front of the piano was a man with this forehead pushing down on the keys of the piano. Said man slowly turned, head still resting on the keys, to look at the whoever was disturbing his practice room, strands of black hair falling sideways on his forehead to reveal a pair of small, sharp eyes.

Walking past the soulless man, Myungsoo swiftly flicked on the light switch, immediately bathing the room in bright, artificial light. This caused the previously unmoviing man at the piano to quickly bring his arms up to shield his small eyes from the harsh light with a loud groan.

"What the heck, Myung?! Turn off the light!!"

The handsome boy rolled his eyes before pushing his complaining friend slightly to make room for himself at the piano bench. "Stop being a baby, Sunggyu", Myungsoo growled as he forcefully uncovered the other man's eyes, "And why the hell were you trying to give yourself a concussion? This is school property, y'know? I'll report you to the building manager if you get blood on the keys".

At the mention of his earlier actions, Sunggyu was immediately reminded of why he had been torturing himself and was almost instantly depressed. The dark-haired man's shoulders slumped, arms falling listlessly to his lap, and his forehead again met the keys of the piano.

"I've been here for six hours, Myung, and I haven't been able to come up with a single idea for my senior compositon", Sunggyu whined as he looked up at his friend with tired eyes.

The younger boy glared at him for the sudden noise the piano had created when his stupid friend's head hit the keys again. He then sighed before patting the other's back gently. "I'm sure something will come to you", Myungsoo chuckled when the other boy looked up at him again with hopeful eyes, "I mean, you're the best student in the music department, Gyu".

Sunggyu abruptly stood up from the piano bench, almost causing it, along with Myungsoo, to topple over. "But what if I can't think of anything in time for my showcase", the dark-haired senior cried. Oblivious to his exasperated audience, Sunggyu walked to the middle of the small room and began pacing. "I'm still burned out from having to compose four songs in the last five months for the level tests, " the man ran a hand through his dark hair in frustration, "And it's not like I can just compose a couple 'okay' songs! My advisor told me that he invited a scout from Nell Entertaintment to my showcase. Fricken Nell!!"

"Okay, okay", Myungsoo interrupted before he could be subjected to a four hour long rant. The younger moved to stand in front of the ranting monster to block his path. "You're overthinking this, Gyu", Myungsoo sighed as he took in his friends dark circles and sunken cheeks before continuing, "How about you take a break? It's not healthy to lock yourself in this tiny room for hours! Plus, you might be able to come up with something awesome after resting your brain for awhile".

The older boy bit his bottom lip as if he was contemplating the offer before shaking his head and walking back to the piano. "Thanks, Myung, but I really don't have time-".

"I'll treat you to dinner".

"...Let me get my jacket".

- - - -

Taking a deep breath, Sunggyu smiled as he inhaled the crisp fall air. It had been awhile since he had walked outside at a leisurely pace with no plans to go to a classroom or his practice room. The dark-haired senior was enjoying the twilight air so much that he was completely taken by surprise when a tall, gangly boy crashed into him, causing them both to fall down onto the rough pavement.

The senior was still sitting on the ground when a finger was suddenly pointed in his face. "Hey!", the younger student shouted in a shrill voice, "Watch where you're going next time! Didn't you see me walking?! You're lucky I wasn't injured!" Small eyes glared at the owner of the finger that was less than an inch from his nose as he began to realize that he was being blamed for the stranger's own idiocy. However, before Sunggyu could jump up to punch the rude stranger, he was being pulled up and brushed off by his friend.

"It was clearly your fault but let's just call it an accident so we can all be on our way", Myungsoo hissed at the stranger while simultaneously placing a gentle but firm grip on Sunggyu's shoulder. Ever seen an angry hamster? Cute but deadly.

"Myungsoo!" The accusatory finger and shrill voice were immediately replaced with big, sparkling eyes and a gummy smile. "It's me, Sungyeol", the stranger said in a much nicer tone than earlier, "We have Intermediate Acting class together!"

Sunggyu raised an eyebrow at the sudden shift in the tall stranger's attitude before getting irritated. He was the one pushed to the ground yet Myungsoo was getting all the attention.

"Sungyeol...", the handsome boy also quirked an eyebrow at the sudden mood change, "Okay...well, see you in class". Myungsoo began to walk past his tall classmate, huffy hamster in tow but was suddenly stopped by a hand pulling him backwards by the hood of his jacket.

"Wait! Wait!", Sungyeol cried, "If you guys have time, you should come check out the Underclassmen Talent Show! I helped out during sound check and some of the first year music students are amazing!" Before either of the boys could protest, they were already being manhandled in the direction of the school's theater.

-  -  -  -

When the trio entered the theater, they were greeted by the loud cheers of many female students. Sunggyu cringed at the high-pitched screams. He turned towards Myungsoo to demand that they leave to fulfill his promise of free dinner but was stunned to find that the two younger boys were already walking down the aisle closer to the stage.

"Myung", Sunggyu called as he rushed to grab the younger by the elbow, "What are you doing? Let's get out of here! I thought you were supposed to be helping me forget about my showcase?"

Myungsoo looked from Sunggyu's hand on his elbow and then to the tight grip on his other elbow, both tugging him in opposite directions. Out of the two, Sungyeol's iron-like hold on him was the one he was the least likely to break out of. "Sorry, Gyu. Let's just stay for one performance and then I'll convince Sungyeol to let us leave", Myungsoo said trying to compromise with the older student. He felt bad that the stressed out music student was being dragged to the stage that was causing his stress but there wasn't anything he could do about his crazy classmate.

Before Sunggyu could complain, the audience lights dimmed and the beginning notes of a song started to play throughout the theater. As much as he wanted to leave, Sunggyu didn't want to disrespect the next performer by leaving during their song.

"Oh! This guy is awesome! You guys are going to love his voice", Sungyeol suddenly exclaimed.

Sunggyu rolled his eyes but went back to focusing on the stage where the lights had begun to get brighter and the notes from an electric guitar grew clearer. 'Sungyeol said we would love his voice...so this guy must be a singer', Sunggyu mused to himself. From what he remembered from his Freshman days, only the top five best Freshmen acts were allowed to perform at the talent show because they were ultimately competing against the five second year music students who had also been chosen to represent their class. In other words, whoever was performing next must be exceptional to have even been allowed a slot in the talent show. It would be interesting to see what the new performing arts students had to offer.

The stage lights suddenly focused on a blonde boy standing front and center on stage. 'Beautiful', was Sunggyu's first thought as he stared up at the younger student. The blonde was short, slim, and his face was average at best (don't kill me! I love namu but he's definitely the type of guy who gets more handsome the more you look at him) but something about the way he stood on stage exuded so much confidence that you couldn't help but feel attracted to him.

And then he began to sing.

Sunggyu stared wide-eyed as this scrawny underclassman completely took his breath away. This was the first time he had ever watched a fellow music student sing and not been worried about the singer's voice cracking or running short of air. Despite looking like a strong gust of wind would blow him over, the blonde boy's voice was so rich and solid that it made Sunggyu feel safe and stable, like he could jump without the fear of falling.

"Wow, he's pretty good, right Gyu?", Myungsoo asked from beside him, slightly nudging the older boy's side to get his attention.

The dark-haired boy hummed in agreement but didn't answer further as he was too engrossed in watching this angelic being with a powerful voice completely dominate the stage. However, Myungsoo's comment did break him out of the trance he was in and he could finally start focusing on the actual song and not the charming singer. Sunggyu chuckled as he listened to the lyrics. In contrast to the rock music sound of the instrumentals, the lyrics were quite cheesy but sweet.

(Click the link below to watch Woohyunnie being amazing~)

Can't you feel me now My Love,

You can come to me just the way you are.

Running to you to hold you,

(Everyday, everyday)

I want us to be together

Everyday~

Normally, Sunggyu wasn't one for cheesy lyrics that stated the obvious but for the young singer, it just fit. There was something about the way he sang that was so honest and sincere that you felt as if he was singing just for you. The blonde tackled every note of the song with everything he had as if this was the last time he would ever be able to perform. And with every note, Sunggyu became more and more enchanted by the sparkle he could see in the boy's eyes even from all the way in the back of the theater.

"Gyu, what's with the face? Hahaha we're barely a minute into his performace and you're already in love", Myungsoo teased, bringing the senior back to reality.

The younger had expected a retort or sharp comment of some kind but was instead presented with a very silent Sunggyu which usually wasn't a good thing. "One minute huh", Sunggyu mumbled to himself before suddenly running towards the theater exit. "Sorry Myung! I just got an idea for a song", the senior shouted to the younger as he left.

"Where are you going", Sungyeol shouted after the sprinting(pffff gyu would never run but whatever my story) hamster. "Who the heck leaves right before the award ceremony", the tall student huffed as he turned back towards the stage where the blonde performer was cathching his breath.

"Hi, everyone", the young singer said with a bright smile, "My name is Nam Woohyun and I'm really grateful for the opportunity I was given to perform in front of all of you wonderful people and of course represent all the first year music students. Anyway, thanks for listening!"

Myungsoo watched as Nam Woohyun quickly jogged off stage then recalled the strange look on his older friend's face as they watched the boy perform. He generally wasn't one for scheming but this was too good to pass up. "Hey, Sungyeol, do you think you can get me backstage", he asked the taller boy.

Sungyeol looked at him strangely before replying, "Uhhh, yeah, easy-peasy".

- - - -

"That was awesome!"

"You were so good!"

"We'll definitely win this year thanks to you~"

Woohyun smiled sheepishly as his fellow Freshmen complimented his performance. Truthfully, the song had been very vocally straining as he had done a choir concert last night and he hadn't had time to give his voice a break. However, even if he knew he hadn't been at his best, it was still nice to know that others had enjoyed listening to songs that he wrote. This song in particular was very special to him as he had wrote it about someone he admired. In fact, Woohyun held this song so close to his heart that this was the first time anyone had heard it despite the fact that he had finished writing it months ago.

"You're Nam Woohyun, right?"

A new voice much closer to him than any of his classmates had been suddenly broke Woohyun out of his thoughts. The blonde looked up to stare at the very handsome face of Kim Myungsoo. "Yeah and you're Kim Myungsoo", Woohyun squeaked as he took a small step back from shock. It wasn't everyday that the university's most popular Upperclassman randomly appeared in front of you.

The older boy smirked...or maybe grimaced but the backstage area was too dim for Woohyun to discern the difference. "I really liked your song", Myungsoo smiled mischeviously, "Actually my friend really, really liked your song too. He wouldn't ever let me ask you this but he ditched me right after your song so he doesn't get a say. Anyway, I was wondering if you would be willing to meet with my friend to talk about...music stuff or whatever it is that music students talk about. He's been in a slump recently and hasn't been able to compose any new songs. Tonight, was the first time I've seen him smile in a long time and it only happend when you started performing so I figure it has something to do with your song".

Woohyun tilted his head in confusion. It was an odd request for sure and how could he agree when the older boy had already said his friend wouldn't be comfortable with the request being made? No, in the end, it's usally better to say no to strange requests. At least that's what his mother always said.

"I'm really sorry but I don't feel comfortable agreeing to your request when the person involved doesn't even know about it", Woohyun replied with a bow.

The handsome photography student shrugged. "Oh well, thought I'd ask anyway just to see what you'd say", Myungsoo said after letting out a loud sigh. He had been hoping that the scrawny Freshman would immediately agree with whatever their senior was saying but obviously kids have no respect these days. Myungsoo shook his head. No, he needed to at least try one more time for Sunggyu's sake. Time to put his acting class to use. Pouting ever so slightly, Myungsoo scuffed the ground with the toe of his sneaker before letting out another exaggerated sigh. "It's really too bad though", the photography student said in an overly disappointed tone, "Sunggyu really liked your song and I'm sure he would've really liked to talk with you about it but since you're not interest-"

"K-Kim Sunggyu?!" Woohyun squeaked, his eyes and mouth becoming wide from shock. Myungsoo smirked. He had known that Sunggyu's name carried some wieght among the music students at their university but he didn't expect such a big reaction. "Oh god, this is so embarrasing", the freshman cried as he sank to the ground, hands covering his face, "Kim Sunggyu heard me singing my song". The photography student raised his eyebrows in surprise as he watched the younger boy slowly becoming more and more upset in front of him. This definitely isn't the reaction he had wanted. Before he could ask the blonde if he was okay, Woohyun suddenly jumped to his feet, nearly headbutting Myungsoo in the process. "I'm really sorry but I really can't meet with Kim Sunggyu", a red-faced Woohyun shouted before turning to dash towards the backstage exit. The acting student stared after the other in shock. Why the heck was everyone running away from him tonight. However, just as he was having that thought, two lanky arms wrapped around his arm, pulling him back towards the front of the house.

"Myungsoo! You've been backstage way longer than you said you would be", Sungyeol whined, his voice annoyingly shrill again, "Let's go watch the rest of the performances before you get me in trouble!"

'I wish Sungyeol would run away from me too', Myungsoo thought to himself as he was again left with no choice but to follow his tall classmate. And just like that, all thoughts of Woohyun's weirdness were pushed out of his mind.

- 3months later-

"I'M DONE! IT'S FINISHED!! YES!!"

Myungsoo stared at the door, his hand frozen on the handle. He had come rushing to Sunggyu's practice room after the older male had sent him multiple texts, demanding that he come to the practice room immediately. And now here he was, unsure if he really wanted to enter the small room when his chances of escaping were still pretty high. While he was contemplating his escape, the door of the tiny music room was yanked open, revealing a grinning Sunggyu.

"What the heck Myung! I texted you like fifteen minutes ago! It took you so long to get here", Sunggyu nagged as he pulled his friend into the room and closed the door behind them. The photography student was pushed towards the piano bench before Sunggyu turned around to power up his laptop. "Anyway, regardless of how slow you are, you're finally here and I need to show you this", Sunggyu practically shoved headphones over the younger boy's ears then watched the other's face expectantly.

Myungsoo glared at his friend's rough treatment but was suddenly surprised by what began playing. At first a soft piano melody played, Sunggyu's voice singing the romantic lyrics sweetly, then the pace and tension of the song suddenly increased, sounding more like rock music. The younger male sat in silence totally immersed in the bittersweet story his friend was telling through his song. Heart-wrenching lyrics and emotional vocals weren't a new thing for the music student. What really surprised Myungsoo was the tenderness that his friend sang with that hadn't ever been present in his past songs. Don't get Myungsoo wrong. He knew that Sunggyu had dated before but he also knew that for Sunggyu, nothing would ever be more important than music...and that had always been evident in the music student's voice. In fact, the reason for Sunggyu's slump a couple months ago was because the older boy's favorite professor had told him that he didn't sing with enough emotion. Sure Sunggyu was talented but was talent enough to make the listeners feel anything? It had taken Myungsoo a long time (and a lot of money spent on food) to even get his depressed friend to set foot into the practice room again. But now, listening to this song, Myungsoo didn't think Sunggyu would be hearing anyone say that he didn't have enough emotions in his singing.

"Sunggyu", Myungsoo smiled up at his friend, "this is beautiful. Like, seriously the best I have ever heard you sing". The older boy, who had been nervously biting his bottom lip as he waited for the other's reaction, immediately smiled widely from one chubby cheek to the other.

"You really think so, Myung", the music student asked shyly. Myungsoo nodded. "Wait", Sunggyu exclaimed when the younger tried to hand him back the headphones, "I have two other songs that I want you to listen to!"

"Two more", Myungsoo asked in surprise. The music student was a talented vocalist but Myungsoo knew that composing didn't come naturally for him. Normally, Sunggyu would complain nonstop about having to write even one song and now here he was saying that he had somehow managed to compose three complete songs.

"Yup", Sunggyu confirmed as he opened the files containing the other songs, "The assignment for this year's Senior showcase was to tell a love story through three self-composed songs. That's why I was so stressed about it. You know I struggle a lot with composing".

The photography student slipped the headphones back on when Sunggyu pressed play. After listening to both songs, he couldn't help but be absolutely floored by his friend's progress as a vocalist and a composer. The second song was heartbreaking but what really drove it home is that it wasn't a clear cut break up song. It was about wanting to forget someone, trying everything to stop yourself from loving that person, and giving up in the end when you realize that forgetting them was impossible. Myungsoo had nearly teared up because of how relatable the lyrics were. Sunggyu had written them so skillfully that the words had Myungsoo thinking of every breakup he had gone through in the past. The third song was breathtaking in that it was different from anything Sunggyu had ever made or even sang before. It was new and different which made the older boy sound so vulnerable as he sang it. What made Myungsoo the most surprised wasn't the differentness of the song but the pure longing that he could hear in Sunggyu's voice which was something that definitely had never been there before. It was almost as if the older boy was actually longing for some....

"Who did you write these songs for Sunggyu?"

The look on the music student's face was almost comical. It went from shocked to guilty in a matter of seconds. "What makes you think that I wrote them for someone", Sunggyu asked shyly. The younger couldn't help but laugh as Sunggyu pouted as if he was upset about being caught.

"C'mon Gyu, give me a little more credit", the photography student smirked, "We've been friends since Freshmen year and I have never heard you sing like that ever".

"I don't know what you're talking about. I sang the way that I always do", Sunggyu sulked as he took back his headphones and turned away to pack up his laptop.

The younger boy stood up and poked the sulky hamster's side playfully. "Don't be like that, Gyu", Myungsoo whined, "Just tell me who you wrote those songs for. I'll even promise to owe you a favor if you tell me".

Sunggyu straightened after finally zipping his backback closed. He bit his lip, contemplating the offer. The younger boy smirked. The fact that Sunggyu hadn't immediately refused meant that he would most likely be getting an answer. "Okay I'll tell you but", Sunggyu hesitated before continuing, "I want to use my favor right after I tell you!" The photography student quirked an eyebrow but agreed to the terms anyway, way too curious about his friend's muse.

"Okay, whatever, just tell me already", Myungsoo grumbled as he became impatient.

Sunggyu glared before letting out a sigh. "The songs are about...someone", the older male suddenly ran a hand through his hair in frustration, "and I feel really stupid for getting this attached to the person ,enough to write three songs about them, because I know literally nothing about them. We've never talked. I'm pretty sure the person doesn't know I exist. Heck, I don't even know what their name is!" After his rant, the frustrated man sat down on the piano bench, face hidden behind his hands. In his mind, Sunggyu knew that his friend wouldn't laugh at him or call him creepy for becoming obsessed with a complete stranger but it was still embarrassing to admit to feelings that he had been keeping to himself for months. Kim Sunggyu just didn't do feelings well.

"Gyu", Myungsoo sat next to his friend, patting the other on the back sympathetically. "Wait, where did you even see this...person", the handsome boy asked, his face scrunching in confusion, "You've been locking youself in this room for the past three months. You only ever leave for class or when your mom nags at you to come home for dinner. And before all of that, you were having your huge brainfart where you couldn't even put together a decent chord progression. When did you even have a chance to...see this person".

The music student lifted his face out of his hads to glare at his friend, small eyes giving him the 'are-you-an-idiot' look. "You were there when I saw...that person", Sunggyu said in his most judging voice, "You and your stupid classmate were the ones who dragged me to the Underclassmen talent show!"

"What are you talking about? How could you have seen anyone there?! You literally only stayed for one perf-", Myungsoo's eyes widened. He was such an idiot sometimes. He'd noticed his friend's weird behavior during that freshman's performance and commented on it himself multiple times that night. Hell, he'd even gone to find the freshman backstage in hopes of getting him to cheer up Sunggyu. "You", Myungsoo looked at the older boy, eyes wide, "You're obsessed like this because of that freshman! That short, blonde kid, right?!"

Sunggyu blushed completely, all the way to the tips of his ears. "Yes", the senior cleared his throat in embarrassment, "and now I need you to do me a favor". The younger continued to stare at Sunggyu with wide eyes still in shock over the discovery. The fact that it was a guy that had stolen his friend's heart wasn't the issue. He had always known Sunggyu was a free soul, not caring about who he gave his attention to as long as they met all of his requirements (which were surprisingly simple for such a picky person. 1) Didn't make fun of his lisp 2) Mature 3) Loved music as much as he did). See the confusing part about this whole conundrum for Myungsoo is that, Sunggyu had fallen (hard) for that freshman without knowing if he ticked all the boxes which was something Sunggyu never did. Their group of friends had always teased the older boy about being a grandpa because of how set in his ways he was. The older boy didn't like new or change, always choosing do live his life the same as he always did because he was a firm believer in 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. And crushing on Woohyun went against all of Sunggyu's usual routines. Another surprise for Myungsoo was that, Woohyun wasn't Sunggyu's usual type. The senior typically went for older, mature partners because he liked being taken care of but also didn't want to be held on to when he needed to put all of his focus into his music and as far as Myungsoo could tell from their short encounter, Woohyun didn't seem like any of those things.

"Yah! Kim Myungsoo! Don't ignore me while I'm talking to you", an angry Sunggyu shouted as he waved a hand in front of the younger's blank face.

"Oh, sorry, Gyu. What were you saying", the junior asked while pushing the other's hand out of his face.

Sunggyu huffed as he crossed his arms. The real reason he was upset was that it was embarrasing enough to say his request to begin with and now he had to repeat it. "I said", Sunggyu hesitated before swallowing his pride, "I want you to find that freshman and invite him to my showcase for me".

The younger stared at the other blankly. 'What an easy favor. He was making it sound like it would be a big deal', the photography student thought to himself. "I don't understand why you can't just invite him yourself. I mean, if you're crushing this hard on the kid, you should just go for it and ask him out", Myungsoo stated matter-of-factly.

"It's not about being afraid of getting rejected", Sunggyu shouted before sighing tiredly, "It's just...I have this idea of him built up in my head and I'm afraid that if I meet him before my showcase and things don't go well or if we don't get along....I just don't think that I'll be able to sing my songs as well".

Myungsoo really wanted to tease his friend for being so cute but couldn't bring himself to do it when he looked at how stressed the older boy looked. "Okay, I'll find the kid. Don't you worry, Gyu. I'll make sure he's front and center at your showcase", the younger said as he patted the senior's shoulder.

"Thanks", Sunggyu mumbled, round cheeks turning red again, "And will you stop referring to him as 'kid'? It makes me feel like a ert".

"You are a ert, old man".

"Get out!"

- - - -

Woohyun stood up from his desk and stretched. Music theory was important, especially for composition, he knew that, really he did, but the professor made it so boring. After stretching out his limbs, the freshman packed up his books and slipped his backpack onto his shoulders. Just as he exited the classroom, a lanky boy ran up to him and grabbed his wrist before pulling him to another classroom that was close by.

"Let me go! Where are you taking me?!" Woohyun shouted as he tried his best to pull out of the stranger's strong grip. Ignoring the questions, Woohyun's kidnapper instead pushed the boy into the classroom and quickly closed the door behind them. "Who the heck are you-", the terrified freshman began to shout but was cut off.

"Sorry about that".

The young music student whipped around towards the source of the voice only to take a terrified step backwards when he found himself face to face with Kim Myungsoo, star pupil of the photography department. Even though it had already been three months, Woohyun still clearly remembered their last meeting and hoped to whoever was willing to answer his pleas that the older student wasn't here to make ridiculous requests again.

"I want you to go to Sunggyu's showcase tomorrow night".

Nope, he was here to ask ridiculous things of him again. Woohyun cursed at all the lazy gods out there who refused to hear his cries for help. Well, since no help was coming, Woohyun bowed to the older boy, "I'm really sorry but I'll have to refuse".

The junior raised an eyebrow before glaring at the younger student. "I'm sorry but I think you've misunderstood the situation", Myungsoo took a threatening step closer to the shorter boy, "You see, I wasn't really asking you if you wanted to go or not. Either my friend from earlier will drag you to that showcase or you can walk into the theater on your own two feet. So, the choice is yours but I really don't suggest choosing the first option as Sungyeol has no concept of being gentle".  Myungsoo thinks he hears an indignant 'Hey!" from the back of the classroom where Sungyeol is blocking the door but he ignores it in favor of watching the now brunette freshman fret over his options. After five minutes of silence, the younger student still hadn't given him an answer and it was beginning to piss him off. "What the hell do you have against Sunggyu", Myungsoo burst out when he couldn't hold his temper back anymore.

Woohyun looked up in shock. "What? No! I don't have anything against Sunggyu!", the freshman stuttered, still shocked at the older student's outburst.

"If you don't have a problem with him then why the hell can't you come to his showcase", Myungsoo growled in frustration, "Look, I wasn't supposed to tell you this but you're seriously starting to piss me off so I want to get this over with as quickly as possible. Sunggyu wants you to come to his showcase, okay? He asked for you himself".

The younger boy looked down at the ground, brown bangs falling over his eyes, effectively hiding his expression. "Just stop it already please", Woohyun begged, his voice cracking from trying so hard to keep his emotions in check, "I don't know how you guys found out about my crush on Sunggyu but I'm sorry for liking him, okay? I'll try my best not to make him uncomfortable so...please stop teasing me. I already know that my feelings won't be returned. You guys don't have to keep rubbing it in my face by lying about Sunggyu wanting to meet me or inviting me to his showcase. I know it already. So please, just stop". Woohyun choked from the tears that he was trying so hard to hold in and quickly brushed a rough fist over his eyes to wipe away the traitorous droplets that rolled down his cheeks.

"Kim Myungsoo! You made the poor kid cry", the one called Sungyeol scolded the photography student from his spot by the door.

"I didn't do anything", Myungsoo shouted, upset that he was being blamed for no reason. The junior turned back to the crying boy who was trying to cover up his sniffles. "Look, I'm sorry if I said something to make you upset but I think you're misunderstanding me...again", Myungsoo rubbed his forehead, already feeling the start of a headache, "Sunggyu seriously asked me to get you to come to his showcase, okay? There's no lies. No one's trying to play a prank on you. Kim Sunggyu genuinely wants you to come to his showcase so you can hear him sing the freakin' amazing songs that were inspired by you!"

"What?!" Woohyun looks up to stare wide-eyed at the the older student who is currently hitting his head for oversharing.

"Dammit", Myungsoo cursed at his slip up, "I wasn't supposed to tell you that. Please, if you don't want me to die a slow, painful death, please don't tell Sunggyu that I told you that".

"Sunggyu wrote a song for me", Woohyun repeated in a daze.

"Oh god, Yeol he's broken. We're gonna just have to drag him to that damn showcase ourselves", Myungsoo sighed in exasperation before holding out his hand, "Give me your phone, kid. You are about to get the most coveted phone number of Kim Myungsoo so you better freakin' answer my damn call when I call you to pick you up for the showcase tomorrow. Understand?"

The still slightly dazed Woohyun nodded to show that he had heard but Myungsoo was worried because the other still had a blank look on his face.

"Whatever. Yeol, c'mon, let's go. I'm exhausted".

- - - -

Ten minutes later, Woohyun snapped out of his dazed state and left the classroom. The young music student was still shocked by what he had heard earlier. 'Kim Sunggyu wrote a song for me', Woohyun thought to himself and started laughing almost immediately after because even the idea of his crush writing a song inspired by him was too ridiculous to be true. He also forced himself to laugh out all the jitters otherwise he would be too overwhelmed and start crying again.

Rather than walking back to his dorm, Woohyun decided to walk to the nearby park to clear his mind. There was no way he would be able to focus on anything for the rest of the day if he didn't organize all his thoughts first. When he arrived at the park, his feet automatically took him to his favorite bench near the middle of the park. There wasn't anything super special about the bench or where it was situated. Woohyun just liked going there when he was stressed because it was where he had first laid eyes on the beautiful creature known as Kim Sunggyu.

"What do you mean you're not coming?!" Woohyun shouted into his phone as he tapped his foot harshly against the pavement, a habit when he was irritated.

"Sorry, Woo. My mom grounded me for two weeks when she saw my score on last weeks math test".

Running a hand through his dark hair, Woohyun sighed, knowing that there was nothing either of them could do about the current situation. "Ugh fine, whatever but you're seriously the worst", Woohyun complained.

"Love you too, Woohyunnie~"

Woohyun sighed again before shoving his phone into the pocket of his basketball shorts. 'Might as well go for a run since I'm here', he thought to himself as he started off his daily morning run with a light jog down the running path. Dongwoo had recommended the park specifically because of the running path, claiming that it was easier to set a clear goal of three or four laps if there was a path where they could pick a starting point. During his first lap around the park, Woohyun was really enjoying the path through the park that the running path took him through. It seriously had everying. Slight hills for some resistance, flat stretches that were easier on the body, and straight sections that were good for sprinting. As irritated as he was at Dongwoo for dithcing him (not really but still), he was still happy that his friend had recommended the park to him.

After his third lap around the running path, Woohyun decided to take a break at a bench in the middle of the park mostly because it was close to a water fountain and not that far from the restroom if he decided he needed to use it during his break. Plopping down on the bench, Woohyun tilted his head back to stare up at the tree branches far above his head. It was nice that the tree was there to block out the harsher sunlight. The nice weather was making him sleepy and without meaning to, his eyes began to close. However, sleep evaded him when he suddenly heard a beautiful voice softly singing nearby. Sitting up, the dark-haired boy whipped his head from side to side, desparately trying to locate the source to the enchanting melody. Woohyun stood up from the bench and quietly walked around the the vast trunk of the tree and to his surprise, he found another bench on the other side of the tree being occupied by an older boy with headphones on. Hoping that the music was loud enough to hide his crunching footsteps on the fallen leaves, Woohyun crept closer, just wanting to hear that beautiful voice a little more clearly. When he was a little closer, Woohyun was surprised to find that not only did the older boy have an angelic voice but he was also quite good looking. From what he could see, the boy had a strong side profile. His straight nose and sharp jawline making for quite an enticing sight. Ho
