Know You Better
Second VoiceJENNIE’S POV
Monday, 9:15 AM
“What the hell happened last night?” was Jennie’s first thought after she woke up with a headache. She looked around the room and found the bed beside hers, empty. She reached out for her phone and checked the time.
. She was an hour late to their band practice. It was their first rehearsal since Lisa became a member, too.
Jennie stood up and hurriedly went to take a shower. With eyes closed, water dripping down, washing off the guilt beneath her skin, having no thoughts of anyone and anything, visions of eyelids were gently closing in her distance, inches away from her. Jennie shook off the thought and continued. It kept on recurring, like a bolt of thunder with no noise, like a storm with no harm, it came in again. Eyelids of one person, she knew from point zero of the trance.
"Lisa?"
Perplexed, she continued bathing herself. Feeling the warm comfort of her companion, rinsing small amounts of bubbles on her skin, making sure every inch of her body were given ample amount of attention, another vision of eyes was drawing close to her proximity.
This time, she was certain. The pair of eyes was from someone she just met.
"What a weird dream."

“Sorry I’m late, but here’s the bright side,” Jennie excitedly said while handing each of her members a cup of coffee to start the day. “I got us an audition!”
Lisa furrowed her brows. "An audition for?"
"Wait, is it for the battle coming up in the university?" Rose asked, hands clasped together and a big grin on her face. "Please say yes. Please!"
"Yes, it is. So let us work our asses off and make sure we bring back the name of this band to where it originally belonged. At the top,” Jennie answered.
The petite girl at the center, right in front of Jennie, standing with confidence and trust with her friend, is so evident of the fire burning inside her heart and her desire to have this fight.
"Jisoo? Any thoughts?" Jennie asked her.
"No, no. Nothing. I am beyond excited. Let's make this happen!" She shouted with a raised fist, showing the bubbly aura she always carried.
---
“So, Lisa, you already know the basics, right?” Jennie, being the former drummer of the band, asked Lisa.
“Yes, I play... a-a bit.”
Still awkward about everything that had happened last night, especially what took place between their lips, Lisa realized one thing; there are some people you will never see again… at least, not in the same way. She couldn’t look Jennie in the eye.
“How’s the good-smelling drummer of Square 3? Oh Jennie, you’re here too!” Jisoo said, while smirking. Looking intently at Jennie, making her way where they stood. She always does this, interrupting conversations of Jennie with other people.
“Don’t I smell good?” Jennie pretends to be offended with what Jisoo emphasized.
“No, you do too. It’s just that Lisa’s shoulders looks like it smells so good.” drawing attention to the last two words of that sentence, Jisoo was teasing Jennie of what she had said last night.
“You really don’t remember what happened last night, don’t you?” Jisoo kept on pressing.
“I honestly, unfortunately, don’t.”
“Poor you.”
