“Please lie down Ms. Dara” the doctor instructed the blooming girl.

Dara’s heart beat erratically and can’t deny the fact that she’s kinda anxious and excited right now. It’s been 3 weeks since she found out the unexpected pregnancy of hers and the day that Jiyong proposed sweetly to her. She must admit, thinking back the past event makes her heart flutter still.

“The fetus is developing well as we can see, the heartbeat is strong too.” The doctor smiled towards her.

Hot tears brimmed the corner of her eyes, never in a million years did she thought she’ll be having another child, most of all from Jiyong too. She thought their love story will remain as a story with a bitter end but now it has a cotton candy feel of sweetness.

She’d never been so happy in her life, well except when she held L for the very first time.

“Hey, don’t cry. You shouldn’t stress yourself.” Dr. Lee Chaerin smiled while cleaning her up from the jelly used on her stomach.

Dara immediately wiped the tears and smiled towards the young doctor. “I’m just happy doc.”

Chaerin tapped Dara on her shoulder and urged for her to sit down, “Do you want a copy of your sonogram Ms. Park?”

The older girl immediately nodded, she can’t wait to tell Jiyong about the gift of life that is coming out of her in a few coming months.

“I wonder how he’ll react when I tell him about you.” Dara smiled fondly while caressing her somewhat flat belly.

Happiness filled Dara’s heart as she walked towards the front door of their small little house, the picture of the little munchkin was kept neatly in her bag. She’s still thinking on how to break the news on her lover.

“Mama!” a cheerful voice greeted her as she opened the door that made her smile from ear to ear.

Kneeling and opening her arm, “Hi there my little monster!”

A soft thud can be heard as a warmth enveloped Dara’s arms.

“Where have you been Mama? Daddy fetched me in school and we played in the park. It was so much fun!” L, her 3year old son uttered with glee and excitement

“Did you have fun with Dad?” She asked and was answered with a joyful nod.

“Hi Dee. You’re home.”

Dara looked up and there Jiyong was standing a few meters away from her on his glorious state. He was wearing a very girlish apron which highlighted his manliness while holding a spatula on his hand.

“Dinner’s going to be ready soon, just wait for a bit okay?” he said and smiled.

Everything is falling in their place in her life now and she can’t be happier, she walked towards him and gave him a chaste kiss which caught her soon to be husband off guard.

“What’s with the kiss baby?” Jiyong asked and planter another kiss on her cheeks which earned a giggle from her.

“Nothing darling. I just realize how much I love you.” She answered sweetly.

Jiyong can’t help but bit his lower lip making him look y and was about to kiss her again but a burning smell caught their nose.

“Oh shoot!” he immediately run towards their kitchen and tried to revive the dish he was cooking.

A few moments later the family of three sat down in their mini table with burnt fish and brownish soup as viand for the night.

“What’s this?” L poked the charcoal looking fish.

“Baby, just eat your food and don’t be picky. Daddy put a lot of effort for that.” Dara smiled when their shrugged his shoulder and started to dig in on his food.

“Do you have work tomorrow Jiyong?” Dara asked innocently but inside she was squealing with excitement.

“I don’t have, why?” Jiyong with a crease on his forehead.

“Nothing.” She tried to suppress her smile by biting her spoon.

“Oh, I almost forgot. My parents want us to attend their wedding anniversary three days from now, they also miss their grandson.” He lovingly looked at her.

“Of course, no problem.”

Honestly Dara can’t properly eat because she felt giddy and her mind was wondering on how will her dashing fiancée react when the secret is finally out.

Continuous ringing of his cellphone woke the couple up, it was still early that morning.

“Jiyong.” Dara whined as she tried to pull their blanket and wrap it more on his body.

“Who the hell is trying to call me this early?” Jiyong muttered, clearly not liking it. “Yes hello?” he sleepily answered.

A pause of silence covered the room for a few seconds when Jiyong moved out off the bed, as if he’s in a hurry. Dara sensing something is not right tried to sit and collect herself while trying to look at a frantic guy who walked from corner to corner.

“Okay, I’ll be there.” He ended the call and got some clothes on their drawer and hurriedly fixed himself.
