That Summer, 1935
Description
A circus with pitch black tents rolls into the city for two nights only. There is no record of its existence or of the people who run it, but when it disappears, ordinary citizens vanish along with it. Enter Baekhyun Byun, a Federal Agent with everything to prove by following his instincts. But when he chases the truth he discovers with horror that everything in this world is not as it seems – sometimes the truth is more terrible than the lie.

This was my submission for BAE Fest 2017 under my alternative username "Floweryyeol."
I finally decided to post this to AFF even though reveals are SO over - mainly for archiving purposes. Anyways, I wrote this on a whim while under heavy influence of my obsession with H.P. Lovecraft's stories, and I'm a procrastinator so I really ran out of time to finish it right before the deadline. It is completed but there was really so much more with it that I wanted to do. I may go back and re-do it someday but for now.... enjoy.
p.s. don't be intimidated by the first-person writing perspective. It was a conscious choice I made so that the horrors would seem more first-hand. I promise not to do that for next BAEfest....
