JunMyeon’s POV

I never felt this irritated before but now I do, here we are, the four of us sitting in a table booked at one of an old school diner you see in the riverdale series here in Gangnam; I am facing with my father and his new girlfriend for just six months and now both of them have decided to get marry and to be more awkward beside on my right is one of my block-mate in my course in Business Management in the university whom I’m not use to talk to, It’s not that we had a bad history, it’s just we don't have the chance

My father started to speak to ease the little tension, and the waitress serve our food with their infamous milkshakes I saw her on the side of my eyes stiffen and sat a bit straighter than before which I followed

“Well, Son, I love her, Meet Seon Mi Imo; your future mother. I proposed to her last week.” My father told me in one blow

“Does mom knows this? At least let her know. SHE IS MY MOTHER.” I trident emphasized the words of my last sentence

“I did and she was okay. Don’t you forget son, She has her own other family, So why can’t I?’ My father reminded the painful memory

Both ladies in front of us are both silent and just listening to our sarcastically lovely father and son moment; I was about to say something but I was interrupted

“Actually Mom, You’re making a big mistake, Myeon and I are dating, We are classmates and fell in love. So you two can’t marry.” She spoke like she was presenting a topic for a debate which is partially true

She intertwined her left hand over mine and show it to the world like we are really a couple and the way she said my second name is like a honey to my ears: Myeon~

Her mother was silent, and latter chuckled her heart out, she was hysterically laughing at her daughter, we three are just waiting for her to breathe properly so she can make a response

“Sorry to burst your bubble honey, You tell me everything since you are a kid, and I know when you lie. I’m your mother, I knew all about you. Your likes, dislikes, ideal man, being a .” Her mother blobbed accidentally

“EOMMA!” She shouted causing the people around us to look at us

Her mother suddenly realized her mistake and immediately apologize, causing Jin to let go of my hand and put hers back to the table, I looked at her and she was really embarrassed with the sudden news forecast of her mother to the man she never met and to me who she never talked to

“I don’t need anyone in my life, You are enough for me.” She confessed to her mother

Her mother lowered her head for a bit and looked at Jin’s eyes with determination

“I know that, honey but what about me? I did everything for you, I am not a hypocrite not to tell the truth that I need someone who can be with me, a different love, a love from a partner. Maybe you understand me when you meet that someone, the man that will make you against all odds.” Her mother try to reach for her

“Tsk. Really? Love? or the you mean?” She chuckled sarcastically and now its my father and I’s turn to watch the show

Her mother rose her eyebrow, and you can see how red she was fuming with anger and disappointment to her daughter

“Jin, You shouldn't be like that to you mother.” My father tried to consoled the two women who are both busy throwing deathly glares to each other

“I’m not talking to you, Mr. Kim.” she retorted disrespectfully to my father

“YAH! Who are you to shout at my father?” It’s my turn to get irritated at her

“I’m not talking to you.” She uttered back

And we started to bickered, She was insulting my father about things that are not probably true of course, she was attacking him without any basis that make me say things about the way she act right now

“Maybe, Imo-nim wants to get marry again because of you. She wants to get rid of her spoiled foul-mouthed daughter. Use you manners young lady, You are causing a scene.” I, at last make her shut up

She looked around her and saw more people looking at her and judging her with their stares, I saw her panic, her cheeks was crimson red her body is shaking

As she calm down she pushed back her chair slowly and wore her coat as she stood up, As I look up to her and she was now crying, she's not hiding it from us, She slung the strap of her small satchel on her shoulder and then pushed the chair back and made her exit

I heard my father advice her mother to go after her, which she did but before she go, she gave my father a sweet kiss and she bowed to me which I answered with a light nod. My father’s eyes followed her that somehow I did too

Her mother and her had a few resemblances, her eyes are different from hers, her mother got a cat like eyes; charismatic while Jin has an almond shape calm one, and under those are fat aegyo-sal that I just noticed today making her more adorable, the pink chubby cheeks but my train of thoughts are interrupted

“What Seon Mi said is true, Jin, her daughter need to conquer that fear. Poor child.” My father said making me all puzzled with what he was referring to

He signaled me to get up after he signed for the bill and we both leave until we got home, I still can’t believe how can the world be so small between me and Jin, we knew each other for sure but we are not acquainted let’s say she rather be alone than mingle with the cool kids in school

I was heading upstairs to my room when my father asked me if I knew Jin 

“I do but not personally, she is kind of a loner at the university but she is smart.” I said without realizing that I complimented her at the end of my sentence

My father just nodded and I sensed its time he was dismissing me to get up to my room, I hurriedly opened my laptop and search for Jin if she has sons, she does but only instagram, I looked thru her SNS and I felt relieved when its not on private mode, I saw pictures of her mother and her, the country she has visited, her hobbies then I stopped in one of the pictures. it was a throwback

“Cute.” I mumbled as I stopped at the picture of her around 5 enjoying the snow while laying down

This I just say cute? No! sweats formed in my forehead, I slammed my laptop close

“Now, I’m going crazy.” I mocked myself because of my silliness

Jin’s POV

My mother and I kept arguing whenever we saw each other, finding out she wants to get marry made me feel scare, scare at the thought that she may disregard me and left me knowing that she is the only one I have throughout my life, Monday and school week will start again means meeting JunMyeon in a new light, that we certainly have a connection since our parents are dating; I actually plan to graduate without associating myself to other people, the lesser people you knew the less drama you will be involve in, My mother is still dropped me off to the university, i uttered a small goodbye before giving her an awkward kiss on her cheek, she didn’t bid her sweet goodbye to me, I understand she is mad to me for not giving her and JungHyun “Her boyfriend” a chance to at least work things out for them and for us, I let out a sigh as I close the passenger’s seat door and my mother just sped off just like that

My day is at peace but somehow I felt JunMyeon is kind of watching me which I caught him once, I’m not surprised maybe studying me so he can find any flaw to say it to her father and use it against my mother so they won’t get marry, then good, I don’t want to get associated with them, knowing that their family is kind of involve in a controversy about not paying their employees of the right compensation they deserve, Well when you talk about the Kims they mean business, big ones and money always talks for them

i was quietly having my lunch when I received a message from my mother, making me spat out all my food from my mouth, and in an instance both my eyes and JunMyeon meet both holding our handphones in our own hands looking back and forth from it and to each other, I can't help and stood up and went to the table where he was sitting with his friends

He was looking up to me and we had this conversation thru our gaze

“I’m not living with you under the same roof!” We both exclaimed at the same time realizing what our parents have under their sleeves
