Roa's friend
To be humanRoa got lost. As simple as that. She had to run away from the horde before she and Kyla got eaten by their fellow dead mates, the thing that the tall dead girl didn’t anticipate was to be separated from her “kid”; because she swore on her mother’s grave that Kyla was just behind her, running, well rather limping through the maze. Well, not a maze but the forest where they got stuck on. It , because as much as she didn’t want to admit, she actually cares about the “kid”, and worries that she got eaten or in trouble.
Now that she is dead, Roa realized that the true monsters are the humans, not the zombies.
“Kyla” She screamed with all her might, her hands twitched and she knows she smells like putrefaction, her skin now looks gray with green and pretty much is falling off, the downside of being a zombie. “Where are you?”
A grumble. Roa looked down to her stomach, When was the last time she eat something? She doesn’t remember, but the hunger is driving her insane, all she wants is a juicy piece of meat. She remembers how before all this mess, she loved to eat hamburgers in company of her best friend, Yuha. The two of them would laugh loudly, close to tears, and unafraid and unashamed of the disapproving stares sent in their direction. They were truly happy and lead a nice life. But that was before, Yuha drove her car into a wall, killing her instantly. Roa sighed and sat down for a minute, trying to remember Yuha’s features.
It doesn’t matter.
She cant remember Yuha. Only bits of their life together. They were more than friends, but sisters. They knew the secrets of the other. But now, all Roa has left of Yuha are memories. And that’s the most painful part, when the memories begin to vanish.
“Well, that wont resolve anything, better keep walking” Now that she is dead, Roa found that the only thing she can do is to not cry over spilled milk “I need to find that kid, before anything happens to her”
But luck was never on her side, Yuha was the lucky girl, never Roa. As she took the steps on the wrong direction, her eyes encountered another eyes, as lost as Kylas.
A girl was tying up a white sheet to the branch of a tree. The girl looked as old as if Kyla would have been alive, and her movements were slow, she even had a quirk in their steps, as if enjoying whatever she was doing.
Roa felt her stomach grumble. Warm food in front of her. She wanted to sneak up on the girl and bit the flesh until there’s nothing left, but something in the girl spoke her curiosity.
“Are you okay?” She asked, and the words sounded like a snake was talking, that’s another problem with being a zombie, the virus
