The bell on the door chimes as the man enters the café with his newpaper in hand and takes his usual spot by the window. The café wasn't very crowded, but that was normally the case. In fact, he was the only person who came everyday for every meal. Hardly anyone comes by and she's immensely grateful for her sole customer. She knows about what the villages say about her food and all their gossip about how it tastes weird and all and to be honest, she doesn't disagree. She's making numerous attempts to improve her food but her attempts are to no avail. That's why she is even more surprised that he comes everyday.

She wasn't in any financial need, coming from a rich family, she came to this small fishing village on the outskirts of Busan to get out her family's silly power struggle - which all the family were grateful for, meaning there was one less person fighting for the inheritance. The owner notices him sitting there for a while and debates whether to offer him his usual coffee or wait for him to come and order. They have never talked, other than the times when she's caught a cold and goes to his clinic for consultation, but he comes to the café everyday without fail, so Jisoo wonders if that considers them as "close" enough to give him a cup of coffee without him requesting

She decides not to and continues to aimlessly clean the counter. She takes a few glances at the man whilst doing so though, with the bright sun luminating this brown locks, turning them into gold and his pouty lips glistened in the sunlight. He was handsome for sure, that the whole village knew. But on top of that, he was a doctor who was the valedictorian of the top university in America. Almost everyone in the village wondered why someone of his caliber who come to open a clinic in a small village yet they were thankful that such a good-looking and smart doctor graced his presence in their village. Snapping out of her trance, she starts to wipe the coffee machine, just in case anyone wants to have one. Which is unlikely.

He stays in the café for another 20 minutes before leaving. She doesn't know that he leaves until the bell on door rings once again and managed to catch him walking out of her café. Furrowing her brows, she realises that he didn't order anything and only sat there. She was confused, as he broke his normal rountine - typically having a cup of black coffee while reading his newpaper. Did he start to hate her food too? She was puzzled by his sudden behaviour but didn't bother running after him, knowing that he would probably come by at lunch time, if not dinner if his clinic isn't too busy.

It was around noon before 3 more people come. Jisoo was surprised by the sound of the bell in hopes of seeing the doctor but when she saw who it was, she sighed.
