“I’m here!” Yeonah shouted as she shifted the heavy shopping bags in her arms, making her way through the threshold of the doorway.
“Noona!” Daehwi ran, and tackled her into a hug, and she chuckled, but winced at the weight of the shopping bags.
“Oh, why did you bring so much, here let me take it from you.” Jisung appeared, and took the bags from her arm like a gentleman, disappearing into the kitchen with all the ingredients that she had bought.
“What is everyone doing?” Yeonah asked Daehwi as she slipped out of her flats and into house slippers, heading through the hallway of the Wanna One dorm.
“Sungwoon hyung and some of the others are playing games, and others are sleeping.” Daehwi replied, holding a door open for her.
“Oh, and what about Minhyun?” Yeonah asked, wondering why he hadn’t come out to greet her.
“I think he’s in the kitchen with Jisung hyung, actually.” Daehwi grinned at her, and wiggled his eyebrows, emphasizing the fact that they were a couple. Yeonah just brushed him off, shaking her head, but headed to the kitchen.
At the kitchen doorway, she saw Minhyun giving Jisung a backhug while Jisung was trying to organize the food that she had bought into the fridge. Her smile faltered slightly; he had never done that with her. Then she realized what she was thinking and shook her head violently. Was she being jealous of a boy? No, she must be going crazy.
She smiled as she watched them bicker, Minhyun holding onto Jisung like a koala bear. They were truly the mom and dad of Wanna One, and she couldn’t imagine the boy group running without either of them.
“So, is this why you weren’t out to greet me?” She grinned teasingly, a joking glint in her eye as Minhyun brightened in seeing her.
“Yeonah! You’re here!” Minhyun waved, but stuck on to Jisung like bubble gum as Jisung started to prep for dinner.
“Minhyun, get off. You should be doing this to Yeonah, not me.” Jisung tried to shrug him off, annoyance clear on his face.
“No, I’m not going.” Minhyun shook his head and nuzzled his face into Jisung’s neck, looking like a baby.
Yeonah felt her stomach sink a little, but she ignored it as she gave them a bright smile.
“I’ll help with dinner, you and I are the only ones who can cook anyways.” Yeonah directed her statement towards Jisung, who sighed in relief.
“You’re a god sent angel, Yeonah. I was thinking of making fried pork cutlets and curry with rice, and japanese style hakata ramen, with a salad to go along with it.” Jisung listed off the menu for today, and Yeonah nodded, tying her hair up. Making a meal for 11 people at once was very tiring and a lot of work, and she started to pull ingredients out of the fridge.
Minhyun was still clinging onto Jisung, and Yeonah felt irritation build up, and pointed at the doorway of the kitchen.
“Hwang Minhyun, for the next hour or so, you are banned from the kitchen. Get out.” Yeonah pointedly glared while pointing at the kitchen door with her spatula..
Minhyun looked surprised at her deathly glare, but grinned before pecking Jisung on the cheek and racing out of the kitchen.
Yeonah felt her cheeks burn red in annoyance as she got back to cutting the vegetables as Jisung worked beside her.
“Honestly, he does stuff to me that he should be doing for you.” Jisung muttered as he stirred the curry. He poured oil into a pan and heated it, while coating pork slices in batter.
Yeonah forced a grin as she started on the ramen soup.
“No, it’s fine. You guys are like family anyways.” She stiffly stirred the soup while boiling the noodles separately.
Jisung raised an eyebrow, hearing the coldness in her tone. “Something not working out nowadays?”
