Donghae’s POV

It was the infirmary doctor. I was really scared knowing someone I know would be there.

“It’s about Jessica; she has a high fever so I brought her here.” I said

“Where is she??” Narsha ask

“She’s right over there sleeping” I said

“Let me check on her temperature” Narsha said and she went over to Jessica and check her temperature.

“Is she okay???” I said

“It’s 38 degrees and she caught a cold. It is better for her to rest and go home for today.” Narsha said

“Jessica, wake up” I said and get the towel on her forehead and wet the towel and put it back on her forehead.

“Ah…..Donghae, what are you doing here????? And why am I here???” Jessica said

“I think you fainted in the garden. I found you and brought you here and the doctor said you caught a cold” I said

“Really??? I’m very thankful to you to bring me here. I should be going now” Jessica said

“Andwae, you need to rest. You’re sick and you must lie down” I said

“Do you have a sibling here or anyone at home to take you home?” Narsha said

“I have but please don’t tell my brother about this. He has basketball tryouts after school and he really wants to make the team. “Jessica said

“What about at home? Your parents?” Narsha said

“They’re at California right now to take care of business.” Jessica said

“Eottokke, how can I take you home??? I can’t take you home since I didn’t bring my car today” Narsha said

“I’ll take her home……” I said

“But, how??????” Narsha said

“I’ll just carry her and besides we’re neighbors and it is practically just a 10 minute walk from here” I said

“Are you okay with that Jessica????” Narsha said

“No, Donghae I can go home by myself” Jessica said

“What if you faint again???” I said

“Donghae is right, there should be someone to take you home. “ Narsha said

“But…..” Jessica said

“Jessica, just let me accompany you” I said

“Fine” Jessica said

“Here, drink this medicine after you eat. Take it 3 times a day every after meal. Ok? And one more thing when you got home ask any person in your house to buy you this medicine” Narsha said

“OK” Jessica

“Bye, Be careful and make sure drink the medicine I gave you. And Donghae take care of her” Narsha said

“Bye….”Jessica said and I wave goodbye to the nurse. We were walking towards their house because Jessica wouldn’t let me carry her nor hold her.  I was really worried that she might fall down again so I just stick close to her.

When she was walking, her body keeps swaying and swaying until she fell down. I rushed towards her and said “Jessica, Gwaenchanayo???”

“I’m fine” Jessica said

“I told you, I should carry you. Look you almost fainted again“ I said and give her a hand to stand up.

“I can’t let you carry me and besides you’ve done so much for me today. You’ve help me find my bracelet, you help me get to the infirmary, you gave me hot chocolate, you brought me to the infirmary and took care of me and most important you’ve became my first friend since I move here. So I can’t impose myself to you again” Jessica said

“It’s okay Jessica, We’re friends right and friends help each other in times of need” I said

“But…..”Jessica said

“No Buts…..just let me carry you home before you faint again” I said

She gave in and let me carry her. I piggyback her and she was awkward with it so I tried to let the air cool for a bit.

“Jessica you know? You’re really a princess letting me carry you like this” I said

“What???” Jessica said

“Nothing…..” I said

“Come on what is it? Tell me please…..” Jessica said

“It’s nothing” I said

“Well fine if you don’t tell me” Jessica said

“Are you mad???” I said

“No…..Fishy” Jessica said

“What did you just call me? Fishy???” I said

“Yes Fishy…….” Jessica said

“Yah!!! If you tease me again…….I’ll drop you” I said

“Mianhe……Fishy” Jessica said

“Yah….” I said

“Fine, I’ll stop……” Jessica said

“Jessica, since we’re friends. I want to know you better. All I know is that you’re real name is Jung Sooyeon and you live right next to us.” I said

“Okay…..I’ll ask you questions and you’ll answer it and vice versa” Jessica said

“Then I’ll ask first……….When is you’re birthday???” I said

“April 18…..How about you?” Jessica said

“Mine is October 15” I said

“My turn…..What are your likes and dislikes???” Jessica said

“Let me think first…………I think you should go first……” I said

“Fine……I like pink, shopping, sweet things, reading books and magazines, listening to music, watching movies, sleeping and playing soccer and tennis. The things I dislike are any fruit related to melon and cucumber” Jessica said

“You play soccer……I play too……Let’s play sometime….I’ll teach you some tricks but I don’t think you can beat me…..” I said

“Okay……..and I’ll beat you to it…..Your turn” I said

“Okay…….The things I dislike are pink, sweet things and parsnips.  The things I like are playing video games, sleeping, listening to music, playing my piano and guitar, playing basketball and soccer and I like you…..” I said and stop from walking realizing what I just said.

“What am I saying…..It’s not what you think……I like you as a friend” I said and look to her and find her already sleeping.

“You really sleep easily…….” I said and continued walking towards their house.

I rang the doorbell and their maid answered the door and hurriedly went answered the door when she saw that I was carrying Jessica.

Their maid wanted to carry Jessica but I insisted that I should be the one who would carry her to her room.  I went inside and followed the maid to where Jessica’s room might be. We arrived at Jessica’s room. The maid opened the door and it was very neat room compared to mine. I went inside and lay Jessica to her bed and place a blanket over her.

The other maid came in and placed a basin full of water and wet the towel and placed it on Jessica’s forehead.

I was about to go when Jessica grab my wrist and said “Donghae….don’t go”

“Okay…..I won’t go till you sleep” I said and went and sit on the chair near her bed. Jessica have fallen asleep and I myself have fallen asleep as well.
