Taeyeon's POV

I woke up, determined to get justice for the two agents and their families...only to find out I had been locked out from the investigation.

"What the hell" I cursed as I typed quickly.

After trying unsuccessfully for an hour, I went downstairs where everyone was having breakfast.

"Taengoo, what's wrong?" Sunny frowned.

"I can't access any files to the mercenary group investigation anymore. It's like overnight, I've been suddenly locked out"

And I had a bad feeling.

"I may know someone that can help us" My dad said and got up to make a call.

He came back a few minutes later.

"My contact said he'll make a few calls to see what's going on"

I didn't have an appetite to eat, but I knew Sunny would only worry so I forced myself to eat.

A few hours later, I was getting antsy.

"Why's your contact taking so long, dad?" I was frustrated.

There was a knock on the door and my dad went to answer, coming back with an older man.

"I didn't think you'd come in person. Girls, meet Adner. He's an associate of mine and can dig up anything"

We greeted him and he tipped his hat in return. He sat down and looked grim.

"This was not something I could divulge over the phone. Whatever this is, this has immediately been locked down fast. They're only allowing internal access. I only managed to get some of this information since a person I know that had access had owed me a favor. Yesterday, the military received intel that there may be a cell of the mercenary group, Rx, in Syria. A deep covert ops team was dispatched immediately. I do not know if it was bad intel or a set up, but they were ambushed. There was said to be twenty targets, but they lost contact from the whole team"

I looked at Yuri, and she had a pale face. I had a bad feeling and knew she was thinking the same thing. That the deep covert ops team had been Yoong's team.

"I don't have much more information other than that. The military is keeping a very tight lid on this. This has now become high priority. Their men may have been captured or killed and they will do everything to get them back. I will try to get more information but it is highly doubtful" 

He stood up and bowed before leaving. We sat in silence for a few minutes.

"M-Maybe it isn't them...I mean, it could have been another team" I tried to be optimistic.

"Yoong and his team are the best...surely they..." Sooyoung said.

Yuri was quiet.

No one's POV

"GET ME INFORMATION. ANYTHING. DON'T TELL ME WE HAVE NOTHING" Secretary of the Navy yelled.

The dots on the screen that had been tracking his team had disappeared off the grid suddenly. Several attempts of communication had failed. It had now been over 18 hours since the last communication.

"If Syria gets to know that we have people on their grounds, they will launch a war against us"

"You don't think I know that?" Calloway snapped.

He had overseen Yoong and his team for the past two years. They were his best men. If there was no communication from them, he knew something had gone wrong. Badly. His phone rang and and he was grim. It was the President himself calling. 

Jessica's POV

I took a personal day because I knew leaving Yuri alone would be dangerous right now. I knocked on her room and went inside. She was just staring at something and it worried me greatly. It was like deja vu again. It had been after that bastard Taecyeon had beat her up so badly she had almost died.

"Yuri"

She didn't answer. I shook her hard and she finally blinked, like she just realized I was here.

"He'll come back, Yuri"

She finally let out tears and I hugged her.

"I...I can't lose him. Not like this" She sobbed, almost digging her fingers into my sides.

There was another knock and Tiff came in with Taco, Yoong's dog. He immediately went up to Yuri and started nudging his head against her leg, whining softly.

Yuri sniffled and pet him. It was like he was trying to comfort her or maybe missing his owner. Either way, it was a comforting sight.

"I...I have to reach Kenzie"

"Who's that?"

"He's the wife of one of the members on Yoong's team. She...She has to know too. She's pregnant, Sica"

I nodded and called one of our drivers to go get her after Yuri gave me the address.

Two hours later, she arrived and looked quite scared, yet not freaking out.

"How far along are you?" I helped her sit down.

"Four months. I get these mad cravings" She smiled, or tried to.

I checked her blood pressure and made sure she ate something.

"Aren't you scared?" Yuri asked.

Kenzie shifted to be more comfortable on the couch.

"I knew what I was signing up for, yet every time he goes, I can't help but stop breathing until he walks through that door. But I also know that he will do everything in his power to come back and Yoong is the same. Kyou is loyal to his team as well and he will fight"

I could tell she was trying to be strong but was worried as well.

"Anything like this ever happen?" Tiffany asked.

"The most they were gone was a week. But...I don't know much about his work. All I know is, every day they're gone and someone from the military doesn't come up to your door, it's good news. When you see someone, you know it's bad news"

Taco had his body draped over Yuri, which would have been pretty funny under different circumstances considering how big he was. If it was possible, he looked pretty sad too. It's like he knew something had happened to his owner. Yuri was talking to Kenzie and I knew she needed to. 

"Jessi"

TIffany hugged me and I rubbed her back. I knew she was worried too. After all, we had only met Yoong recently, but I could tell he was a good fit for her. No, maybe he was even perfect for her. I prayed to all the gods out there, that he and his team were safe and they would come back home.

Sunny's POV

My baby was sulking and mad. She refused to go to work and just kept grumbling and mumbling under her breath while working on her computer. I just shook my head and knew she needed time to be by herself. She would come out of this mode eventually and complain to me and I would be right here to listen as always. I know Sica was dealing with Yuri. Fany poked her head in.

"She still in her weird mode?" She whispered and I chuckled, nodding.

She set a tray of food down and drinks and I helped myself, while watching my baby. She was really cute when she furrowed her eyebrows, a sign she was kind of irritiated. Even in this situation, I couldn't help but ogle over her.

"How's Yuri?"

"She's with Kenzie and Taco's like a guard dog, trailing beside her everywhere she goes. Jessi's making sure Kenzie doesn't get too stressed out over this"

"Even Taco must know that Yuri's special" I grinned.

"Sunny....do you think it's our fault? Me and Yuri's? I mean...Taecyeon and Nichkhun...they're connected to that group and now Yoong and his team have lost contact" Fany sighed.

I took her hand and rubbed it comfortingly.

"Don't ever say it's either of you guys' fault. If they're involved, then I believe that Yoong will make them pay like he promised. But this was never your fault. What you both went through...I can't even imagine, but you have to believe that, okay?" I sharped my voice.

She sniffled and nodded and I hugged her. Sica was right to be protective of her. The past has been brought up again. I could never survive if Taeyeon went through something like that.

Yuri's POV

Talking to Kenzie made me feel a bit better. Knowing she was going through the same thing as me...I felt better knowing she would understand.

"Do you know if it's a boy or girl yet?"

"We wanted it to be a surprise" She grinned.

I looked at the joy in her eyes and couldn't help but smile. She trusted Kyou completely to come back to her and I should trust Yoong too. 

"Stay here until they come back" I proposed.

"No, I can't intrude. And I have to deal with some housework--"

"Yuri's right. Stay here. You'll keep Yuri company and besides, I can keep monitoring you just in case" Sica agreed.

She frowned but we convinced her. We set her up in one of the guest rooms and let her rest.

"She's tired and probably stressed, even if she's not showing it. Rest is what she needs" Sica said as we left her room.

"How are you dealing, Yul?"

"I don't know, Sica. I do admit I do admire Kenzie for being so strong and believing...but it's like what she said. I don't think I'll be able to breathe until I see Yoong again" I admitted.

"He'll come back" She firmly said and I only nodded.

I said I was going to rest in my room, but ever since he had left, I couldn't sleep properly. It's like I needed him to even function. I sighed and curled up in my bed. Yoong, please come home soon.
