Part 1 : The Proposal

Namjoon woke up to a pair of arms being wrapped around his waist. Being a light sleeper, even a little bit of noise woke him up. Looking behind him, he saw his girlfriend staring at him with her trademark gummy smile.

“I’m home oppa.” She murmured and pecked his cheek without hesitation.

Namjoon rearranged their positions and made her lie on his chest instead. He sighed contentedly as the girl on his bed snuggled against him. He was about to reply but sleep started to win against him.

Namjoon woke up again this time around with the sound of his alarm blaring and he opened his eyes groggily. Looking around, he saw her still lying on his chest fast asleep. Namjoon smiled to himself as he realized that he wasn’t only dreaming. She was really home.

He caressed her head softly and sighed in happiness. His stomach suddenly growled as if it was reminding him to eat. He then remembered that he forgot to eat dinner last night because he was too preoccupied with composing their newest single. He didn’t even manage to change his clothes due to exhaustion. The continued grumbles of his stomach made the girl on his chest fidget. Namjoon watched as she slowly opened her eyes and looked up at him.

“Good morning Jennie-ah.” 

“Good morning Joonie-oppa.” She greeted him with a peck on his lips.

Namjoon couldn’t help but redden and Jennie laughed seeing at the look on his face.

“I can’t believe you still get shy around me oppa. Shouldn’t you be used to skinship, already? I mean we’ve been dating for 5 years after all.” She giggled against his chest.

Namjoon could only laugh in reply. He hugged her tighter against him and she reciprocated by snuggling more into him.

“When did you arrive?” he asked.

“I arrived at 4 am and went straight here. I tried calling you but I knew you were still asleep so I called Jin oppa instead. He was a bit grumpy when he opened the door but he didn’t say anything though. He probably didn’t want to get in my bad side especially now that he’s dating Jisoo.” she replied.

Namjoon lightly chuckled and nodded before saying, “He has been a bit secretive lately but I know he’ll open up to me soon.”

“Jisoo doesn’t say much to me either. I guess they want to keep things first to themselves.” She commented.

“Oppa, it’s gonna be our fifth year anniversary tomorrow. I mean can you believe it? We’ve been together for 5 years and we even revealed our relationship to the public but were still here together so strong. Everyone doubted us so much when they first heard about is but I’m happy that we proved them wrong.” She smiled cheekily at him.

“I know and I’m really really happy to be still here with you. It may be a bit embarrassing to admit to you personally but I’ve never loved anyone as much as I love you and I don’t think I’ll ever stop.” Namjoon confessed to Jennie and she hid her face against his chest.

“Aigoo. Who’s being shy now huh?” Namjoon teased and chuckled. He groaned as Jennie pinched his chest.

Jennie worriedly looks at him but she was met with a joking smile on his face. She couldn’t help but mirror the expression on his face. Without any words, she grabbed his face with her two palms and kissed him on the lips.

What was supposed to be a light peck turned into a heavy makeout session and discarded clothes against the floor.

The morning before Jennie arrived; Namjoon met the BTS and Blackpink members in one of Bighit’s Conference Rooms. He had been waiting for 15 minutes but it seemed everyone were too busy to come early.

Jin and Jimin were the first one to arrive and they were immediately followed by the 3 blackpink members. Namjoon decided to start telling them the plans without the other members and reminded himself to tell them later.

He cleared his throat before starting.

“Hi guys. Uhm, I know you’ve been busy and all but I have to ask a really big favor from you.” he struggled to continue with his speech.

“Go on Namjoon-oppa. There must be a reason that you gathered us here today and specifically said that Jennie can’t come. It was completely hard convincing her that she couldn’t come with us. You know how stubborn she is.” Jisoo complained and Namjoon lightly chuckled but he gulped nervously when Jennie was mentioned.

“You see Jennie and I have been dating for 5 years and I-“

“Omo. I think I know what Namjoo-oppa is planning. Omo!!” Lisa exclaimed and the other guys looked curiously at Namjoon and signaled him to continue talking.

“Okay I’ll continue talking. We’ve been dating for five years and we have always been happy, right? I know we have big fights sometimes but we’ve worked hard to avoid those and I have always believed she’s my perfect match. That’s why when she attended the New York Fashion Week last week, I made arrangements in our favorite restaurant since it’s our 5th year anniversary and all and I finally decided to do it.” Namjoon explained.

“So? What does that mean then?” Jimin asked still not getting the situation right.

“Aish. This Chimchim. I’m saying that I’m proposing to Jennie.”

The girls squealed and the boys started to pat his shoulder completely proud of their leader.

“Aigoo. Our Namjoonie is ready to be a husband. I can’t believe that this day has finally come.” Jin remarked and groaned as Jisoo pinched his side.

“This oppa is really childish. I’m happy for you and Jennie, Namjoon-oppa. We’ll help in any way.” Jisoo looked at her members and the maknaes gladly nodded their heads.

Rubbing his side, Jin turned to Jisoo and made a hopeful look on his face. “Jisoo baby, should we get married too?”

Jisoo rolled her eyes and laughed. “We’ll get married when you stop being childish oppa.”

Namjoon and jimin laughed before teasing Jin, “That would probably never happed though so you’re gonna be single for life hyung.” Jin pouted at his younger members and his girlfriend. Jisoo laughed at his expression so she placed her arms around his waist to comfort him.

“So what are we gonna do oppa?” Rose asked Namjoon. Namjoon cleared his throat again and told them his plan.

 Jisoo, Lisa and Rose carefully executed the plan and they started it with a special spa day for the Blackpink girls which was a treat from Namjoon.

Jennie was getting a foot massage with the girls and she narrowed her eyes when she saw the three of them completely busy with their phones.
