I sat there watching the sunset, as I did back then. Shades of pink, yellow, and orange, just like that day when you first kissed me. I was waiting for something to change, to morph back into the thing I once held onto. You... I closed my eyes tight. Where is it so damn hard for me to let you go? The warmth from you. The way you held me in your arms. The feel of your lips on mine. I want it, I want it all back. I can’t bear knowing that this is it. That there’s nothing left. That two people who were in love can just pass each other by like nothing. As if, it never existed.

This love we shared.

The memories are so strong, so vivid in my mind.

“I love you.” He said as I tried my best not lose my breath.

“Minho...” He placed his finger on my lips.

“Please...don’t...don’t say you don’t feel the same. I’d die, after all this courage I built up...” He removed his finger. I didn’t know what to think looking back on it. We were childhood friends, and as we grew older, I noticed day by day he became more protective of me. I always thought that that's who he was. That he took care of me like his little sister.

“Hyori...say something.” I looked down at my feet. 

“You don’t feel the same do you?” He sighed, that little cute sigh he always would do when he felt completely defeated. He never liked to lose.

 The tears welted up in my eyes, and I started laughing. He watched me, I probably looked crazy, and so I stopped. “H-Hyori...are you okay?” Minho questioned. His hands, the feeling of his hands on my shoulders. They always had this feeling, like I could fall and I know he’d be there.

To catch me.

To hold me.

To love me.

Then I wondered, how long did I feel this? How long did I let this go unnoticed? These feelings I have for him.  “Minho.” I said quietly looking at him.

“Don’t cry." The hold on my shoulder tighten.

“Oppa, what makes you so sure?” His eyes widen and his grip on my shoulders was let go. That pained me a bit.

“B-Bwoh?” How could I be so blind, so silly? To be lucky enough to have him in my life. Of course, the way I...I ...it is the same. I walked up to him, breaking all the distance between us. This was better than my dreams. This was real. I wrapped my hands around his neck and hugged him. Hugging him so tight to show him what was inside. That this was a message. Did he get it? His hands were at his sides but slowly crept up on my back. Message received, Minho. He hugged me back with the same force. I almost couldn’t breathe, but I didn’t care. “Sorry..” He loosen up our embrace, but still held on. 

“For what?” I whispered back.

“This could mess up everything. My selfishness can ruin our friendship.” I shake my head into his chest. He smelled so good. Was this what I was missing all a long?

“Minho..” I pulled back, he still had his hand on my waist. Before I said anything, I smiled, staring into those beautiful eyes of his. “I love you.” The corners of his mouth slowly curved up. “Hyori...You don’t..if you don’t...it’s oka-“ I stopped him from talking as I moved my head in closer to his, letting our foreheads touching as I tried my darn hardest not to get tired from being on my tippy toes.

“Oppa, after I built up all the courage to confess back...”  I said teasing him. He let out a small laugh, smirking at me. Our noses touched, and we both got lost in the moment. He closed his eyes, and I followed behind him. He finally released me, and we stood there, watching another. Little laughs lifted the mood. He came after me, as I ran away playfully. “Minho! No! Hah, stop it!” But I was too late, I always was with him... He took me by the legs, holding me up to reach his eyes level. He was boasting with joy. It was written all over his face. I placed my hands around his neck again as he looked away
