Slight move from the unbroken hand woke her from her light dreamless sleep, he’d moved his finger, the slightest move meant he wasn’t dead.

“Unnie, Jason moved, get a doctor he’s moving his fingers” Seolhyun shouted to Jessica who was sat in an uncomfortable hospital chair dozing off. As soon as she heard Seolhyun’s shout she immediately ran out of the room racing to find the doctor.

He’d been in the same crippled position for months, constantly hooked up to wires, life machines, oxygen mask. He couldn’t survive on his own. When he ran in front of that car he knew there was slim chance of survival but saved her instead of himself.

The movement of one finger caused his hand to follow along as he moved his fingers across the white bed sheets trying to find where he was, unable to open his eyes. Jason’s fingers moved slowly across the bed before they encountered another soft warm hand which held his tightly as soon as they touched.

“Open your eyes Jason, do it for me, I’m sorry I never told you I loved you, I truly am I…” The voice was barely a whisper, it sounded as if someone was in a cupboard
