Youngjae and Daehyun's love story was nothing extraordinary. It wasn't love at first sight and it wasn't one of those with extravagant confessions or proposal either. In fact, their love story started as one of the most boring romance there is; as friends.

Daehyun was an intern in a company Himchan works at, Youngjae's best friend. The older was so fond so of him that he had nothing to say about Daehyun but praises. He was almost all Himchan talks about whenever he comes home from work Youngjae basically knew him before he even met him and he would be lying if he said he didn't irk his curiosity.

He finally meets Daehyun at Himchan's farewell party. His best friend was being reassigned in US for a couple of years and he had invited a few people over their shared apartment for a drink night.

With all the good things Himchan had to say about him, Youngjae couldn't help but observe the intern to somehow ease his own curiosity. What is so great about Jung Daehyun that had his very picky best friend like him?

Daehyun was quiet, Youngjae notes, but he has a certain glint of mischief in his eyes. Something Youngjae found very intruiging. He notes how Daehyun always only giggles or smiles when his seniors says something funny or amusing and when he did actually laugh, although it was loud, he had immediately cut himself off before cupping his lips with his hand and warily looking around; embarrassed.

It was cute, and Youngjae couldn't help but think that maybe this was the reason Himchan had developed a certain fondness for the blonde boy.

Youngjae decided to approach the older then, and finding out that they were actually around the same age, the two quickly got along and Youngjae realizes he was wrong. Jung Daehyun was not quiet at all.

That night continued on with him and Daehyun hanging out by themselves instead while the elders chatted away; bottles of beer slowly lining up by the side of the couch where they sat.

They woke up the next day with Youngjae on the couch and Daehyun sprawled on the floor next to him along with a throbbing head ache that was sure to last until the afternoon at the very least. He remebers how Daehyun had cussed under his breath, tried to get up and ended up bumping his head on the center table with a loud thud which was followed by a pained groan. And although Youngjae was only half awake, he had ended up laughing so hard that he himself fell off the couch, landing on top of Daehyun who grunted in pain.

Their friendship sort of started from there. Youngjae remembers how he and Daehyun had decided to stop by at a small restaurant after dropping Himchan off at the airport. The restaurant had a mini arcade in it for children to entertain themselves and Youngjae being the usually playful person he was, had dragged Daehyun along with him for a game of basketball and pool.

He doesn't remember most of it but before he even knew it, Daehyun had been hanging out at their apartment more often than he should. They would either have a few rounds of games on Himchan's PlayStation or would be out eating. Daehyun loved to eat and Youngjae was not going to complain.

He doesn't remember how it happened either but sometime in the course of two years, he and Daehyun had started sharing intimate touches, meaningful glances and an unusually extreme case of . It wasn't until they finally shared their first kissㅡtheir first night together, that Youngjae finally understood that he had actually developed feelings for the said boy.

Youngjae was gay but he had always been subtle about it. He didn't realize Daehyun was, too. He never really intended to be in this kind of relationship with him either. Daehyun was the best friend he could ever hope for.

He was funny, loud and they share the same sense of humor. One glance at each other and Youngjae knew they always shared the same thought. He can be a handful sometimes but Youngjae figured he was worse so eh. Daehyun was meant to be his best friend, they clicked and their personalities alligned. He wanted Daehyun as his friend but then it happened. And Youngjae does not regret it.

Daehyun was the perfect boyfriend material. He was sweet, caring, he's playful and he has this charm that makes Youngjae melt inside and it didn't take long form him to actually fall in love with Jung Daehyun.
