A Day in the Life
Not knowing to expect, Baekhyun rounded the corner to his daughter’s room; peeking in cautiously. Smiling, he leaned against the doorframe and watched in silence.
The room was an immaculate mess; clothes, shoes and all types of hairclips and accessories scattered all around the pink carpet and atop most of the surfaces available as well. In fact, there were even diapers – clean ones – dangerously dangling off the side of the lamp beside the rocking chair in the corner. But even despite this catastrophe, his eyes could only see the two people playing in the center of the room; both of them laughing at heaven knows what.
“I think this would look better on you…” Chanyeol was murmuring to the little figure sitting atop his highway-like legs, wearing a bright pink tutu on top of her nappy. Rolling his eyes, Baekhyun watched the puppy-like male gently stretch the atrociously green shirt over their six-month-old’s head with his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth. With a few low grunts, Chanyeol managed to fit the shirt Baekhyun recognized to be a gift from the ever-weird Minseok and now smiled brightly as he raised his daughter up by the armpits; turning her back and forth to admire his precious work. Baekhyun just shook his head, wondering how in the hell his dumb husband made someone as beautiful as their little girl look like a mismatched outcast from one of f(x)’s music videos.
“Oh, good Lord!” he groaned in exasperation, watching said husband slip a pair of almost-neon colored yellow socks onto the little angel’s chubby feet and how he also added in a bright blue headband with an oversized butterfly on it. Now, it stuck out of their daughter’s head like some weird antenna, making her look like a bright Crayola-crayon alien. Chanyeol’s eyes flitted to the door
