Jiyeon’s POV

“What?” The only word I can utter from what my boss just said.

“Yes Ms. Park, you heard it right. We received a proposal from Ms. Park Hyomin’s company and they want you to be their model for their winter season collection” He explained to me with a proud smile on his face

“And before you say no. I just want you to know that she’s willing to pay you triple and this opportunity will help you a lot in this modeling industry” He added when he noticed that I will complain with his offer

“So what do you think?” He asked with anticipation

 I sigh “How can I complain? You’re the boss and besides you told me that this will be a big help for my career” I answered with forced smile

Just imagining myself working with that Hyomin makes me nervous. What if she already knows all the bad things I said about her before because of my jealousy with her, being my girlfriend’s best friend? 

And now, she will make revenge by ruining my career. 

'You need to watch less k-dramas from now on, it makes you overthink everything.' My alter ego reminded me 

My trail of thoughts interrupted by a phone call from an unregistered number.

I looked at my boss first who gave me a you-are-dismissed-and-you-can-go-now look. 

I stood up and bow to him as a sign of respect then went out to his office before answering the call.

“hello?”

“Is this Jiyeon?” the other line asked with a gentle voice

I looked at the unregistered number again with an arch brow. Wondering why this person knows my name and personal number. 

“Yes. Who’s this?” 

“It’s Hyomin.”

I felt the unfamiliar feeling on her stomach again. And her heart started to pound faster than usual.

“hello. Are you still there?” The other girl on the line speak again when she noticed that the other line went quiet.

“O-oh. Yeah… why? 

“I seem to recall a friend of mine saying that I need to go through a certain process to get scheduled. It’s an honor that your boss gave me your number and get directly to you.”

In this conversation. It’s okay just to listen to her voice. She has this very gentle and sophisticated voice that I’m willing to hear and listen the whole day. 

“Being a friend of someone close to my heart, it’s no longer necessary to get you through so much process. And besides we’re already talking.” I answered with a professional voice

'GOOD JOB, PARK JIYEON. YOU DID NOT SUTTERED!' My alter ego mocked

I bit my lower lip when the other line became quiet. 

“Then, Can we settle an appointment?” she finally  asked

I let out a small smile before answering “alright. When will you be available?”

'DAEBAK. ARE YOU THAT EXCITED TO MEET HER?' That's my alter ego mocked again

Seriously, it really feels like my brain has its own brain

“Today.” she said

“What the… as in, today?” 

“Or tomorrow whenever is convenient for you, Ms. Park” She said nonchalantly as if her answer’s don’t make my heart flutter in a milisecond. 

Wait… what? Did I just think that?

Dug. Dug. Dug. Dug. 

I touched my chest. Oh my goodness. Why does this thing so loud. 

I really need to see a doctor

I tried to even my breathing but it’s impossible. I hold my breath and answer… “Now would be fine, I guess. Where shall I meet you?” 

I heard someone talked from the other line but I didn’t understand what that person said. Seems like Hyomin gave an order to that person. 

“I’m still here at Guwol-dong, Incheon. Do you want me to meet you halfway? Or I can just simply go there, perhaps?"

As I remember from what Eunjung unnie said, her business was in Seoul. What is she doing there? 

WHY DO YOU  EVEN CARE? My alter ego in again

Yeah, why do I even care? I don’t care even if she’s at the top of Mt. Everest. “What are you still doing in Incheon?”

“Business” she answered shortly

I’m so stupid. Why did I asked that? What if she’ll think that I’m a creep. No, It’s not like I care about what she’ll think about me.
