Kris thinks there's something truly etheral about the way Zitao looks drenched in the pale glow of neon signs, like a luminescent viel cast over someone who transcends this ordinary, dull plane of existence. 

Something about the way those eyes catch the light, what ones work in this part of town, make Kris feel breathless. 

Looking at Zitao's eyes always have left him that way. But tonight, with the way his bright orbs stare off at the world, as if taking it in for the first time, Kris feels as if he truly is in another realm, one where only he and Zitao exist.

There's no judgemental stares or scrutinizing eyes, just the love that exists between them in the haven of dark buildings and flickering lights.

im sorry for my stupidly long hiatus I honestly didn't expect to be gone for this long rip all I can say is school is hell lmao

but before any of yall are like "oh god another story" when my others aren't finished...you're partially right! They're not...but I have been working on them! 

So uh, this is obviously based on EXID's comeback Night Rather Than Day (it's so aeSTHETIC O M G) i am very weak for neon aesthetics if you cant tell

I've been really pressured with the other fics because I wanna make sure they're 110% before I post them, because I only want to present you guys with the best I can give you (when each story is written), so I figured with this I could relax a little and just...write? lmao I hope that makes sense.

Anyways, i plan to post this in the next day or two. basically this is a little mission to myself to not be afraid to post some straight up raw writing without a bunch of flourishes. it's just me trying to be comfortable with putting out something that's raw idea and emotion!
