Jungkook and Jin had been going out for a while now, but they hadn't talked about being boyfriends. And that was really worrying Jungkook. He was worried that somebody would woo Jin and take him away from him. He didn't want to sound too possessive as they weren't officially a thing yet, but they were going out and they both seemed to really enjoy each other's company. Or at least he was, and taking notice how Jin always blushed when he pulled a chair for him or called him cute is anything to go by. Jungkook started automatically smiling as he thought about his neighbor from downstairs.

So Jungkook was planning to ask Jin, would he like to be something more. He just didn't know how to bring it up. Should he just casually ask that would he like to be his boyfriend, or should he buy flowers and confess while they're in a restaurant, or would that be too cringey. He was confused what to do, but also sure that he wanted to do it as soon as possible so that nobody could take Jin away from him.

In the end he came to conclusion, where he will buy the flowers and go to Jin's apartment and asks him to be his boyfriend. As simple as that. Nothing too fancy, but flowers are a nice touch to the confession without making it too cringey. He mentally prepared himself and opened his apartment's door. But he stopped on his tracks as he saw a boy standing in front of Jin’s door. Who is he? Jin opened the door and looked surprised until he started smiling and hugged the other.

Wait? What? They hugged for a while until Jin backed away and invited the boy inside his apartment. Jungkook’s head was full of questions, and he couldn't help but let his imagination run wild. Jungkook forgot about the flowers and went back inside his apartment. He collapsed on his bed and stared the ceiling. He was trying not to jump into conclusions, but he couldnt help but wonder, could that boy be somebody very important to him. And yes he did hug him so he must be someone important, but was he someone who was more important than Jungkook, that was the question.

Somebody knocked on Jin's door and he couldn't help but think was it perhaps Jungkook. He opened the door and saw somebody he definietly wasn't expecting. Without thinking Jin hugged the boy in front of him. The other laughed lightly and wrapped his arms around him. Jin let go and invited the other inside his apartment.

"Namjoon, what are you doing here I thought you were still in the U.S.?" 

"I came little bit earlier as I started to miss my friends and family too much" Namjoon smiled. He had been making music with other artists and was asked to visit U.S. He had been so busy lately that Jin hadn't been able to meet him in a long time. So this suprise visit really shocked him.

"So are you back? Like for good? Or will you go back to U.S. soon? How has it been there?"

"Slow down there" Namjoon laughed "Yes, I am back at least for a while because I'm taking a break from making music to relax. And it has been great really, it is so different from South Korea. I would like to show it to you someday"

"Oh really? I would love that, I've never really been outside the country so it would be amazing. But are you hungry? I could make up something if you like?"

"Yes please! I've been missing the amazing food you cook." Namjoon said almost drooling. Jin just laughed and walked into the kitchen. Namjoon decided to sneak around a bit. He went to look at the photos that Jin had on his shelves. There was a photo of him and Jin on their first day at school. Next to it he saw a photo from a photo booth. There was Jin and some guy who had his arm around Jin's shoulder. He felt jealousy run through him as he noticed how happy Jin looked. Namjoon loved the U.S since he was a little child he had wanted to live there, but Jin was always the reason why he came back. Jin was always the one on his mind and he wished he was the one on Jin's mind.

"What are you thinking about?"

"Huh?" Namjoon put the photo quickly in his pocket as he turned around to see Jin standing there.

"The food is ready. Didn't you hear me the first 4 times that I called?"

"Oh no, I was just looking around and noticed this old picture of that you have here. I couldn't help but think about how long we have known each other."

"Yeah it has been a long time hasn't it? Since we were in kindergarten." Jin smiled thinking back the memories they have had along the way. "But know it's time to stop thinking and time to eat" 

They went into the kitchen and Namjoon nearly drooled as he saw the food on the plate. He didn't think twice as he started to dig in. 

"Ahhh! Hot hot!"

"Of course it's hot you idiot." Jin quickly brought him cold water that Namjoon didn't hesitate to glug down.

"Thank you. Have you eaten already?" Namjoon asked as he noticed Jin isn't eating anything.

"I ate a while ago" 

"Mhm"

Suddenly they were completely quiet. Only thing that could be heard was the cars passing by the apartment and Namjoon's eating sounds. It wasn't awkward though they had known each other so long that they wouldn't be awkward. Jin felt weird having Namjoon suddenly here. He couldn't comprehend that Namjoon was actually here after such a long time. His childhood friend who had alwayd been by his side. Now that boy was just casually eating his food after not seeing each other for over two years. So long time yet here they are still friends like nothing had happened.

"Does the others know that you're here?" 

"No, you're the first one" Namjoon answered after he ate the last bite of his food. "Mmm, this was delicious."

"We should invite the others over and we could hang here, the six of us just like old times."

"Old times? You make it sounnd like I was away for years."

"It has been years..."

"Oh. Yeah, I guess it has. I'm sorry that I didn't come sooner or called more often. I'm such a terrible friend."

"No! No you're not. You were busy I understand that and the others do also. You're still an important person to us and we want you to achieve your dream." 

"Alright, thank you for always standing by my side, even though I haven't really been here to stand by you"

"It's okay. I know I can count on you on anything. So don't worry so much and let's ask the others here."

"Okay okay. But first let's go somewhere only the two of us."

"The two of us? Where?" Jin looked confused.

"Let's go to the coffee shop where they sell those really good cakes. I'd love a piece of cake of theirs. What do you say?"

"Sure, we can go let me just change first" Jin went to his room and Namjoon was left in the kitchen by himself. He took the photo out of his pocket and stared it for a while. Who are you? Why do you look so familiar? He was so sure he had seen him before but he just couldn't remember him. His thoughts were interrupted by Jin walking back into the kitchen.

"I'm ready!"

"Okay let's go" 

They walked out of Jin's apartment and continued to walk out, but what they didn't notice was Jungkook who was looking at them at the top of the stairs. He didn't want to be a creep but he needed to know who the guy is and what is he doing with Jin. Jungkook knew that he could get his heart broken if he follows them but he needed to know the truth. So when they were far enough Jungkook started walking behind them to see where they were going. Jungkook was gritting his teeth as he saw them laughing and messing around as they walked in front of him. Everytime they stopped to look at something Jungkook hid behind something, scared that they will notice him, but gladly they always continued their way. 

They finally reached their destination and walked inside the coffee shop. Jungkook tried to sneak in without them noticing, as he walked behind them inside he went straight away to the furthest table from them.

"What do you want?" 

"Hmmm...I'll take a coffee and a piece of strawberry vanilla cake."

"Okay. Two coffees and a piece of strawberry vanilla cake and chocolate cake please"

"No you don't need to pay for me. I have my own money"

"It's the least I can do after not seeing you in so long"

"But-"

"Thank you!" Namjoon already gave his money to the cashier and took the tray walking away to the table near the window.

"You're impossible"

"I know you love me" 

"Yeah right" Jin smiled as he took his plate and coffee from the tray. Jungkook was listening to them and couldn't help but feel the disappointment wash over him as he saw them smiling together. After a while he had enough and he walked out of the coffee shop to go home. He was disappointed and sad and just so frustrated that his Jin was laughing and acting all lovey dovey with somebody else who wasn't him. He walked slowly his head hang low, only thing that is missing is the rain that would make this like a scene from a drama. He arrived home and he collapsed on his bed hoping to wake up from a bad dream.

"Should we hang out tonight?"

"Why are you so eager to ask the boys here?" Namjoon laughed.

"Because I can't just keep it to myself that you are here. You know I'm a terrible liar."

"Okay, let's call them." 

As they were back at Jin's apartment, after buying drinks and snacks of course, they had already called their friends and now were waiting for them to come. Jimin was of course the first one to arrive as he was always so eager to party. When he saw Namjoon he was about to jump to the roof.

"Namjoon? Namjoon!? What? How are you here? Jin you knew?" He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that one of his best friends was finally back after so long time.

"It was a surprise to me too. This fool tried to give me a heart attack" Jin explained himself.

"Surprise" Namjoon said smiling like an idiot. Jimin attacked him with a hug that made both of them fall as Namjoon was sitting on a chair.

"Let's get this party started!" came a yell from the door as Hoseok and Taehyung came inside but stopped on their tracks as they saw Jimin and Namjoon on the ground.

"What is this? How is this possible?" Hoseok was just staring at the door as Taehyung just ran and jumped on top of Namjoon and Jimin squishing them underneath.

"Namjoon! I can't believe it's really you!" Taehyung yelled loudly as Namjoon and Jimin were groaning out of pain.

"Welcome back. I didn't expect to see you here, but I'm glad you decided to finally visit" Hoseok said. Namjoon somehow finally got away from Jimin and Taehyung and hugged Hoseok.

"I'm sorry. I know I should have come a long time ago but things happened and I got busy. But now I'm on vacation and I'm not planning to leave any time soon" Hoseok finally hugged him back almost crushing him. He had tears in his eyes he couldn't believe that Namjoon was here. One of his friends that was away for years, and was now standing there in the same apartment with him.

"I'm just so happy that you're back." Jin was smiling as he watched Taehyung attacking Namjoon and Hoseok again almost crushing them both to death. He was holding back his tears, Namjoon was back and everybody was just so happy to see him again. Only one person was missing. And like a que the door bell rang and when Jin opened it Yoongi was standing there with a box of beer that he dropped when he saw Namjoon. Namjoon's smile widened as he saw his friend standing there, but Yoongi didn't move he just stared.

"Hello? Earth to Yoongi" 

Jin could see that the tough guy was having hard time to be tough and not to cry. He walked foward and Namjoon pulled him in for a hug.

"I missed you" he said and Yoongi was almost cracking. That is why he quickly pulled away and punched Namjoon on the shoulder.

"Ow! I thought we had a moment there."

"Well you thought wrong" but all of them could see how happy Yoongi was to see him. All of them were. 

"Thank you, all of you. You are such great friends, and I was so selfish as I never visited or called often, but I want you to know that I will meet you now more I will call you more. Because I missed you. As sappy as it sounds I missed you guys alot and I want to raise a glass to the new memories that we will be making together. Cheers!" 

"Cheers!" all of them drank from their glasses, glad to be together once more. But Jin couldn't help but feel a little bad that they were here all together having fun and one person who had become a big part of his life now wasn't here to share this moment. Though he knows Jungkook hadn't met Namjoon before but he knew everybody else. Or he knew Hoseok and Yoongi as they were already friends and Jimin and Taehyung he had met briefly as they were stalking him and Jin from Tae's apartement and were caught red handed. But Jungkook was so cool about it he just introduced himself and they continued their way. Even Taehyung and Jimin were impressed by him. 

Jin sent Jungkook a message asking what he was doing. After he sent it he kept checking his phone all through the evening. Why wasn't he answering? Jin sent another message asking is he already sleeping. Though it was only 8.50 p.m. and he knew Jungkook never went to sleep that early especially on saturday evening.

"What are sighing about? Oooooh is it your boyfriend?" Hoseok nudged Jin's shoulder as the other blushed.

"He's not my boyfriend...yet." he mumbled the last part that others couldn't hear it.

"Who?" Namjoon asked interested.

"Jeon Jungkook."

"Jeon Jungkook? The name sounds familiar"

"Yeah you probably have seen him at ours. The singer boy. Black hair, tall."

"Aaah now I remember. What about him being Jin's boyfriend? You know him?" Namjoon's heart started to beat faster as he yhought about the possibility of them being together. Jungkook was definietly good looking he couldn't deny that, he didn't know him that well though. He just knew he was Yoongi's and Hoseok's friend and that he has a great voice.

"Well, there was a small accident and I could say he has fallen for him." Taehyung laughed as Jin glared at him.

"Hey! You could ask him to come here? Namjoon could also meet him properly." Jimin suggested.

"He isn't answering my messages but I don't believe he's sleeping yet."

"He literally lives upstairs you could just go and knock his door you know?" Yoongi pointed out. 

"But I don't know wouldn't that be quite awkward? What if he is sleeping and I'm just intruding?"

"He is not sleeping or at least he should then wake up" Hoseok reasoned him, but Jin was still unsure. Namjoon hadn't said anything after Taehyung mentioned Jin falling for Jungkook. He was just sitting there quietly sipping on his drink.

"Okay I'll go"

"Yeah!"

"Good, be a man!"

"Tae shut up" Jin said before he stepped outside his apartement and went upstairs to ask Jungkook to join them. He stood outside his door trying to figure out what to say. This was his first time asking him to hang out with his friends and also now there was Namjoon and he was always a little cautious about the boys that Jin liked. He finally knocked on the door and it didn't take long until Jungkook opened the door. 

"Hey..I'm sorry to come so late but I was just thinking that would you like to come downstairs and meet one friend of mine?" Jin was so nervous that he couldn't watch Jungkook in the eyes so he looked down and he happened to see that Jungkook had his phone on his hand. Jin thought it was odd that he didn't answer him, but maybe it was so he just saw the messages and was about to reply.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not really interested in meeting your friend. Or you".

"What?"

"I don't know how many "friends" you have in total, but I for sure don't want to be one of them anymore."

"What do you mean? I seriously don't understand what you are talking about."

"I don't want to see you anymore. Clear enough?"

"What...I-I don't...*sigh* okay then." Jin turned around and started walking downstairs. He heard the door being slammed closed behind him and he had hard time holding back his tears. But he had to. He couldn't ruin the night so he had to make up an excuse and it up.

He opened the door and they started asking where Jungkook was and just the mention of his name almost made the tears fall, but he could hold them back as he made up a lie.

"He was really tired as he just came from the gym. He apologized and asked to meet up some other time."

"Aaah that's too bad, but let's continue! The night is still young" Jimin said as raised his glass and so did everybody after him. Though Namjoon could straight away sense something was wrong. Yes Jin did smile and laugh, but he still was somehow too quiet. He would ask him later when the others are gone.

Junkook slammed the door after Jin and collapsed on the floor as the tears started falling. He didn't want to do that. He thought for a moment that he could just act like nothing happened and that he saw nothing. But he didn't want Jin to break up with him eventually. He wanted to do it himself, that he wouldn't get his heart broken by Jin. Though he didn't know if this is any better. He is still crying on the floor even though he is the reason their love story ended even before it even started.

Hoseok and Yoongi were sleeping in the living room as Jimin and Taehyung went into Taehyung's apartment. Namjoon was supposed to sleep on the floor next to Jin's bed. But he was just waiting for Jin to come out of the bathroom where he had been suspiciously long. Namjoon decided to go knock on the bathroom door to ask if he was okay. And when the answer was a broken yes he knew that something was definietly wrong.

"Come out"

"I can't right now I'm on the toilet"

"Mhm and how does it take so long?"

"Do you really want details?"

"Jin cut the act I know something is wrong, you're a bad liar and you know it."

Jin slowly unlocked the door and Namjoon straight away opened it to see red eyed Jin with tears still streaming down his face.

"What's wrong?" Namjoon asked as he hugged Jin and lead him to the bedroom.

"I-I.." Jin tried to talk but he just cried more as he tried to explain.

"Shhhh, it's okay everything's okay"

"No it's not"

"What happened?" Jin tried to calm down and after a while he could talk again.

"You know Jungkook that we talked about earlier?"

"Yeah the singer boy. Why? What about him?"

"We were going out for a while and I thought we had so much fun..but now he said he doesn't want to see me anymore" Jin started crying again as he recalled Jungkook's words. Namjoon didn't say anything but there were flames in his eyes. Nobody can hurt Jin and get away with it. Nobody. The last boy who did this to Jin in high school ended up to switch schools as he got so scared of Namjoon. Jin tried to stop him back then but he was so mad that he couldn't help himself. They sat there quietly as Jin's tears didn't fall anymore and he became very sleepy. Namjoon covered Jin with a blanket and went to sleep on the floor where his sleeping place was. 

The next morning as Jin woke up he acted as usual he went to make himself a coffee except know he needed to make it for four persons as there were Namjoon, Yoongi and Hoseok also here now. He started to make breakfast as he heard a person walk behind him. He turned around and saw Namjoon with his ridiculous bed hair that made him giggle slightly.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing. I made coffee and the breakfast is almost ready."

"Are you feeling better?"

"What?" Jin was first confused what he was talking about until he remembered yesterday. "Oh yeah I'm better thank you. I'm sorry you needed to see that"

"What are you talking about? I'm you're friend I'm supposed to help at times like this"

"Thank you. But Namjoon please leave Jungkook alone."

"I don't know what you're talking about"

"You know exactly what I'm talking about. I don't want the same drama again. I can handle this myself"

"Yeah but-"

"Please?"

"Okay I won't do anything"

"Promise?"

"Yes yes, I promise"

"What are you promising?" Hoseok walked into the kitchen looking sleepy.

"That he will do the groceries for me today as I made your breakfast."

"What? Ow! I mean yes." Namjoon rubbed his arm and Hoseok looked at them weirdly but he was so tired that he didn't think it much.

Hoseok woke Yoongi up who was ready to punch him but as Hoseok said that if he doesn't get up now, he wouldn't get a ride, Yoongi got up straight away and they left. 

"Namjoon are you going to go home? Not that I want you to leave but-"

"You want to be alone?"

"Well yeah..."

"I can go, but if you need anything I'm only one call away."

"Thank you Namjoon. For everything."

"No problem" Namjoon left and now Jin was alone in his apartment. He really couldn't understand it. Couple days ago Jungkook seemed completely fine, and they had a lot of fun on their date at the movies. But now suddenly this happened. Did he do something that made him upset? Or did he find somebody else he liked? Also what did he mean by "friends"? Why did he sound so sarcastic? These questions were going around his head and he couldn't stop thinking about the words that Jungkook said before slamming the door shut. Should he go ask him? But would he look too weak? No, he didn't want to go and make himself look like a lost puppy without his owner. But he couldn't stand the tought of letting Jungkook go without any reason why. So Jin decided to go and knock on Jungkook's door and ask what did he mean. Though as he stepped outside he stopped moving as he saw Jungkook coming down the stairs. He walked past Jin without even a glance at his direction. Jin wanted to say something but suddenly the words were stuck in his throat and he needed to hold himself back from brusting out crying. So he let Jungkook go. And now the tears were streaming down again. He felt stupid why couldn't he just open his mouth and ask him. He was annoyed that he was crying and he didn't even know why Jungkook didn't want to see him anymore.

It has been days and Jungkook was again on his bed staring at the ceiling. He has never felt so alone and bored in his life. He didn't want to go ask Yoongi or Hoseok to hang out because they would straight away know that he wasn't in a good mood. And then they would question what's wrong and they are also friends of Jin, so they could go and talk to him. It would have been a mess. At least Jungkook thought so. Naturally he couldn't ask Jin out because they weren't together anymore. Stupid guy. What did he have that Jungkook didn't. Just the thought of the guy made Jungkook's blood boil. In middle of his thoughts somebody knocked on his door. Who could it be?

Jungkook got up and walked up to his door. He opened it and saw the person he least wanted to see. He was about to shut the door, but the other stopped him.

"I promised Jin that I wouldn't do anything to you but I need to talk to you." 

"What is there to talk about?"

"Everything" and the guy walked inside Jungkook''s apartment without waiting for an answer. Jungkook walked behind him to the couch and he avoided to look in the boy's eyes.

"What's your problem?" the guy asked quite irritated. Jungkook was caught off guard and looked up.

"My problem?"

"Yes your problem. Jin hasn't stopped mopping over you and doesn't let anybody in his apartment and I bet he doesn't even have food there anymore."

"You don't have a key to his apartment?"

"A key? No, I don't. Why would I have?"

"Because I have"

"And your point is? Why do we even have a conversation about that? More important is that why did you break up with him?"

"We weren't together we just went on couple of dates..."

"But those couple of dates meant a lot to Jin. Believe me I have known him for ages and he doesn't fall in love with guys easily. So you are a special case."

"Who are you?"

"Me? I'm Kim Namjoon, Jin's friend since middle school. But don't change the subject again. Why did you leave him? Huh?"

Jungkook was confused.

"So wait. You're his friend? Why were you hugging him then in front of Jin's door?"

"Hugging? Oh you mean when I came back from U.S? I was away for years without contacting him often. I wanted to see him first because I..." Namjoon looked down without continuing his sentence, but Jungkook understood. He liked Jin. 

"That is why I hate to see him sad and I want to keep him safe, but I can not do that if I don't know what's up."

"It's you."

"What?"

"You are the reason I left him" Namjoon looked more confused. "I saw you hugging Jin and he looked so happy, and then I followed you on your "date" and I-"

"What?!"

"-I couldn't help myself. You were acting like a couple and I just jumped into conclusion that you're together..."

"Really? That's it? You just thought that we..? Holy...that's the reason?! You both are so incredibly stupid! You were just jealous?"

"Well...yeah..." Jungkook looked embarrassed as Namjoon laughed at him.

"But you need to fix this up as I can't stand Jin being like this."

"I think I can come up with something" Jungkook already had an idea and he got up to leave and buy what he needed.

"And hey Jungkook!" Jungkook turned around before he left.

"Don't ever do this again or I will kill you" Namjoon looked serious so Jungkook couldn't do anything else except nod.

"Jin come out! We could go somewhere fun!" 

"I said I don't want to Namjoon!" Namjoon was standing behind Jin's door trying to get him out. He was supposed to bring Jin to the park where Jungkook would be waiting but Jin wasn't really cooperating with him.

"You can't stay there forever! Come out or I'll go and punch Jungkook until he will beg for forgiveness!"

"You wouldn't!"

"Oh you know I would!" In a minute Jin was standing there as he knew that Namjoon would really punch him knowing from the past experience.

"Great let's go!" Namjoon started dragging Jin out.

"Where are we even going?"

"Somewhere nice beliveve me." 

They continued walking until they were at the park.

"Wait a moment I need to check one thing. Be right back" and Namjoon left before Jin could question anything. Suddenly he heard somebody play the piano and he saw somebody walking towards him. It was Jungkook. He came closer to Jin and took his hand. Jin was hesitant. He was so confused, what was this sudden mood change in Jungkook? But he still took his hand and was led further into the park where he could see Yoongi playing the piano. How much did Jungkook have to pay him that he agreed to do this? But that wasn't the most important thing at the moment. The most important thing was Jungkook who was standing there in front of him with a bouquet of flowers in his hands. Where did he get that from? Jin was so out of it.

"Jin. I'm so sorry for everything that I said that evening. It was all a big misunderstanding. I thought Namjoon was your boyfriend."

"What-"

"Don't stop me until I'm finished. Yes. I thought so. I saw you hugging him and smiling with him so brightly, so I thought he was somebody who was taking my place. But he came and told me about your past how he is just your friend and I felt to stupid. I hurt you in the worst way possible and thought you were with somebody else. Now I know better and I want to apologize to you. Jin could you forgive me and be my boyfriend?" 

Jungkook looked up and noticed Jin had tears in his eyes, but he was smiling.

"You're so stupid!" Jin hit him on his shoulder then he hugged him. "But yes I'll forgive you and yes I'll be your boyfriend." Jungkook placed the flowers on the ground. He hugged Jin tighter than he had ever before. He pulled back and looked Jin in the eyes and kissed him. He put all the passion in it as if it was their last. He couldn't believe he was about to let this beautiful human being leave his life. This is where he belongs right in his arms.

Namjoon looked at the couple and smiled and started walking away. Yoongi was soon next to him. 

"So, time to move on?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Oh come on! We all knew that you liked each other all through high school." Yoongi figured he maybe said too much in that very sentence.

"Jin liked me?"

"Well yeah, we all thought you two would end up together but then you left and things changed. Jin was really sad that time you know? He didn't want to talk about you for months. It was a touchy subject. We tried to make him go on dates but they all ended badly. Then Jungkook came and said to me Jin is cute and wanted to get to know him. So I helped him. Don't worry Jungkook is still young but he knows how to take care of Jin."

Namjoon thought about all the things Yoongi said. If he hadn't left maybe he would be the one kissing Jin right now. But even back then Jin was the one who told Namjoon to leave and live his dream. He has always cheered him on. So that's exactly what he will do. Maybe he can't be Jin's boyfriend, but Jin will always have a special place in his heart.

"Yoongi?"

"Yeah?"

"I think it is time to move on." Namjoon smiled at the other and Yoongi smiled back.

"Let's go have a drink. Just the two of us"

"Sounds good."

So who's that boy? He is the most loyal and trustworthy friend of Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Taehyung and maybe even Jungkook. His name is Kim Namjoon.

Another chapter! I'm sorry it took so long, but I had such a terrible writers block that I just couldn't continue it. Here it is though! I hope you enjoyed it, I wanted to bring more characters to the story and I was thinking maybe I could write a seperate story about each one of them. Like how they met Jin and what has happened after that and something like that. I told a little about the past of Jin and Namjoon but I could tell about it more specificly? I don't know, I'm just blabbering now :D
